Brad Pitt Once Cleared Out a Film Set With His 'Diabolical' Fart
Brad Pitt's flatulence once cleared out a film set — and it was nothing short of "diabolical."
While chatting on the New Heights podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce on Wednesday, July 2, the 61-year-old recalled a hilarious, and kind of gross, moment from the early days of his career.
Pitt recalled how he was filming an independent movie in a small café filled with around 60 crew members. Pitt's character, which had "not eaten for days," ordered a large plate of beans. 'I was like, 'I'm gonna' do this right,'' the actor recalled. 'I just power down this plate of beans. Take two, do the same thing. Take three, I do the same thing. I do the same thing. … Something hit me.'
Though he was stuck on set during the scene, the effects of the beans were undeniable. Pitt called the smell 'diabolical," and revealed that "the entire crew fled the café," after he broke wind. "Ever since then, I've paced myself,' Pitt quipped.
The conversation all started to a recurring theme in Pitt's career — his penchant for eating on screen. It all started with his role as Rusty Ryan in Ocean's Eleven, where he constantly snacked as the "consigliere" of the group. Pitt explained, 'He's got to eat on the run. That's where this came from. There was thought behind it.'

'When I first met Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon, I was. [startstuck],' he admitted. 'I got over it quickly, though.' The trio appeared in the 1991 film Thelma & Louise together, which also happened to be Pitt's breakout role.
Pitt's new movie, F1: The Movie, is currently playing in theaters.

Lauderdale-by-the-Sea celebrates Fourth of July with parade, family fun and fireworks
Steeped in patriotism and small town charm, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea celebrates the nation's independence with its annual Fourth of July Parade and Family Fun Day. The day long celebration features a festive parade, family-friendly activities and a beachfront fireworks display. "It's all about independence, freedom and enjoying our community," resident Sharon Pidgeon said as she watched the parade. The Aufiero family were celebrating their child's first Fourth of July, hoping to impart patriotism at a young age. "To know America is the greatest country and celebrate America and just enjoy this day," Paige Aufiero said. Some showed up dressed in patriotic threads to celebrate America's birthday. "I'm a very big fan of the Fourth of July. We always have a big party. We have to dress the part. We're very proud to be from this country and we're psyched each year," Jill Paden said. The Padens said they've been going to the Lauderdale-by-the-Sea event for years. "We're very proud to be Americans. We're proud to be from this country and I'm proud of our ability to protest, and stand up for what we believe in," Brett Paden said. While Americans are divided on many issues, everyone at the event said the day was about celebrating. "Today is about the birth of America, it's not about politics. Let's just leave all that aside and just celebrate that we're free," resident Cheri Palmer said.
