Police seek three suspects who wore bright construction clothing and face masks accused of an attempted robbery in Kinmount, Ont. on June 30, 2025. An attempted robbery in Kinmount is under investigation after police say three suspects wearing construction safety clothing tried to break into a business. Officers responded to a report about an attempted robbery around 5 p.m. on Monday at a business on County Road 121. They say the suspects had fled the scene empty-handed before officers arrived. All three were wearing bright orange construction gear. (OPP) Provincial police are urging business owners in the area who may have sold high-visibility clothing similar to what the suspects wore to contact the authorities. 'Additionally, if you were in the Kinmount area between 4:30 p.m. and 5:20 p.m. on June 30 and have any relevant footage, please reach out to assist in the investigation,' OPP noted. It's believed the suspects left the scene in a blue Honda Civic. No injuries were reported.

Motorcyclist who was reported missing found dead in Clarington, Ont., police say

THE CANADIAN PRESS/Doug Ives Durham police say a motorcyclist who was found dead on the side of a Clarington, Ont. roadway Tuesday afternoon was reported missing earlier in the day. In a news release issued Wednesday, police said officers located an unresponsive man near Concession Road 6 and Vickers Road, northeast of Orono, Ont., at 1:20 p.m. Investigators said they believe the man was driving his motorcycle east on Concession Road 6, when he crossed into the westbound lanes and went into a ditch, where he was ejected. The man was reported missing earlier in the day by his family, police said. Police said, at this time, they believe the incident was caused by a medical episode. The 47-year-old motorcyclist has not been identified.

Young driver charged for his actions in Huntsville parking lot
Provincial police say a young driver learned the hard way about the 'consequences of being cool' after officers charged him with stunt driving in a Muskoka parking lot. Police say officers observed a vehicle spinning, drifting and doing burnouts in a King William Street parking lot in Huntsville on Monday night. Officers conducted a traffic stop and subsequently charged the 18-year-old driver, who was also served several other provincial offense notices for various other infractions, police say. Additionally, due to the stunt driving charge, the young driver was handed a 30-day licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 14 days. He has a future court date set to answer to the stunt driving charge. If convicted, he could face six demerit points and a licence suspension of up to three years.
