Miami, Florida, July 1st, 2025, GamingWire
FLOKI, the people-powered crypto brand, is set to launch its highly anticipated blockchain game, Valhalla, on mainnet today, June 30th, 2025.
Backed by over a multi-million dollar treasury, Valhalla is FLOKI's boldest product yet — a browser-based, play-to-earn MMORPG built to bring Web3 gaming to the masses.
Valhalla is FLOKI's flagship metaverse game, and it's aiming to change the play-to-earn game for good. Built by FLOKI, the first community takeover project in crypto history, Valhalla puts players first. It's a browser-based MMORPG powered by the FLOKI token, with rich on-chain mechanics, NFT-based characters, and a live economy backed by a robust multi-million dollar treasury. The goal is to let players earn while they play, without sacrificing fun, quality, or community.
The game features turn-based tactical combat in hexagonal battle arenas, NFT creatures called Veras, and an expansive open world that players can explore and conquer together. With seamless Web3 integration and a player-driven economy, Valhalla offers real ownership of in-game assets, giving players multiple ways to earn for their time and skill.
'This is not just about putting a game on-chain — it's about making blockchain gaming better and delivering on the promise made to our community that we will fix many of the problems found within the blockchain P2E gaming space,' said Pedro Vidal, Community Relations Officer at FLOKI. 'We're not building for hype. We're building something gamers actually want to play — and pushing the boundaries of what can be accomplished in the play-to-earn and blockchain gaming world… This is only the beginning.'
Ahead of the mainnet launch, FLOKI has rolled out a massive marketing blitz, including a 4-week YouTube campaign, a 5-week Twitch ad storm, and mobile in-game rewards ads across games like Candy Crush and Call of Duty: Mobile. A Reddit campaign targeting crypto-native gamers also kicked off this week, alongside programmatic display ads across high-traffic websites.
Valhalla has also stepped into the mainstream, sponsoring the Baroda Premier League and becoming the Presenting Partner of the 2025 Global Esports Industry Week. The FLOKI brand recently made headlines for its Times Square billboard takeover and U.S. national TV campaign, reaching over 219 million households.
Currently live on testnet at valhalla.game, the game has already released its latest patch (v0.35.0), featuring new Veras, amulets for deeper strategy, and a mysterious new resource called Vera Essence.
Valhalla is built by the FLOKI ecosystem, which includes Floki Staking, the FLOKI Trading Bot, and the TokenFi platform, FLOKI's answer to the rising demand for token creation and real-world asset tokenization. With over 550,000 holders globally.
The full Valhalla mainnet experience drops June 30, bringing a new layer of depth to how blockchain and gameplay intersect in the evolving crypto gaming landscape.

Believe it or not, Jake Paul is now a ranked boxer and eligible to fight for a world title

Jake Paul was a child actor. He was once primarily known as a YouTube influencer. When he started boxing, he was seen largely as a novelty act who didn't face serious fighters. As of Monday night, however, Paul is ranked by the World Boxing Assn. And as impossible as it may have sounded in the not-so-distant past, that makes him eligible to fight for a world title. 'I've worked hard to get here but there is nothing to celebrate,' Paul wrote on X after the WBA listed him at No. 14 in the latest edition of its cruiserweight rankings. 'Long road ahead and I'm more committed to it every single day. I may veer off the path now and again, but being a world champion is my desired ultimate destination.' The ranking came days after Paul's victory by unanimous decision over former middleweight champion Julio César Chávez Jr., the most accomplished opponent the former Disney Channel 'Bizaardvark' star has faced en route to a 12-1 record with 7 knockouts in a boxing career that has spanned less than seven years. During much of that time, Paul's opponents included fellow YouTubers, an NBA player and several mixed martial artists. In the fall, he defeated then-58-year-old former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson by unanimous decision in a bout that peaked at 65 million concurrent streams on Netfilix and netted a record gate of $18,117,072 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Paul's only loss came in 2023 against Tommy Fury, a professional boxer and reality TV star. He reflected on that fight Saturday night after his win over Chávez. 'I don't think I was a fighter at the time,' Paul told reporters. 'I was barely 2½ years into the sport. I didn't really know what I was doing. I didn't have the right equipment around me, the right conditioning. My lifestyle outside of the ring was still like that of a YouTuber, a famous actor or whatever it was at that point in time. I wasn't completely focused on boxing. '... People still hold the Tommy Fury fight against me, but now I've beaten a former world champion and I'm coming to collect on that loss to Tommy.' The current WBA cruiserweight champion is Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramírez, who was on the same bill as Paul last weekend and defeated Yuniel Dorticos in a close but unanimous decision. During the postfight news conference, Paul and Ramírez stared each other down. 'I want tougher fighters. I want to be a world champion,' Paul told reporters. 'Zurdo looked slow ... tonight. That'd be easy work, too.'

Blake Lively Subpoenas Perez Hilton and Candace Owens in Effort to Prove Justin Baldoni's Alleged Smear Campaign

Blake Lively has issued subpoenas to content creators Perez Hilton, Candace Owens and Andy Signore in her legal battle with Justin Baldoni Online commentator Owens said in a statement that she has "not the slightest idea what I am being subpoenaed" Baldoni's lawyer has previously given shoutouts to the "internet sleuth community who continue to cover the case with discernment and integrity"Blake Lively's lawyers are issuing subpoenas to content creators Perez Hilton, Candace Owens and Andy Signore in a quest to prove Justin Baldoni's alleged smear campaign. TMZ was first to report the new development, citing a source, on Tuesday, July 1, that Hilton, Owens and Signore were given notice of subpoenas in Lively's ongoing legal battle against Baldoni, the It Ends With Us costar-director she accused of sexual harassment and retaliation, which he denies. Owens, a divisive online commentator who has gained millions of views on her Lively videos, said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE, "Given the fact that I have not received any subpoena yet, I appreciate Blake's team leaking this to TMZ to alert me to it. And, of course, I have not the slightest idea what I am being subpoenaed for as I knew none of these parties when their respective lawsuits were filed. But stay tuned, and I'll let audiences know on my podcast." Hilton and Signore did not immediately respond toPEOPLE's requests for comment. Reps for Lively and Baldoni separatelydeclined to comment. Hilton (born Mario Lavandeira) is a longtime celebrity blogger who has been covering the actors' saga, and he was even featured in the documentary about the case, In Dispute: Lively vs. Baldoni. He has previously been legally represented by Baldoni's lawyer, Bryan Freedman. Signore makes videos about celebrity trials on a YouTube channel, and in one video shared an "exclusive" statement from Freedman before major news outlets published the same comment later. is now available in the Apple App Store! Baldoni's $400 million countersuit against Lively and Reynolds, which alleged extortion and defamation, was dismissed by Judge Lewis J. Liman in June, and Baldoni's team ultimately declined to amend and move forward with their claims. Lively, 37, has also issued a subpoena to music exec Scooter Braun and his company. (Braun stepped down from his CEO role at HYBE on July 1.) Baldoni, 41, at one point subpoenaed Taylor Swift, a close friend of Lively's, though that has since been withdrawn. Still, the judge blocked Lively's motion for a protective order to prevent her texts with the pop star from getting into Baldoni's team's hands. It was previously indicated that Baldoni's team also considered subpoenaing another of Lively's friends, actor Hugh Jackman. Baldoni's legal team has previously given shoutouts to content creators making videos about the legal battle. In a June 10 message after their lawsuit was dismissed, Freedman said, "We are grateful for the organic show of support from the public and for the dedication of the internet sleuth community who continue to cover the case with discernment and integrity." In her complaint, Lively's lawyers alleged that Baldoni and his publicists orchestrated an online smear campaign to tarnish her image, writing: "the Wayfarer team seeded social media content with content creators, on online chat sites like Reddit, and into publications with small audiences and lax editorial standards; the team would then 'amplify' that content by sharing them with publications ... [that] have larger audiences and greater reach, which significantly increased the negative sentiment toward Ms. Lively." Baldoni's lawyers, however, say any ill will directed at Lively was her own doing, and bad press that happened around the It Ends With Us release in August 2024 was an organic response that needed no fueling. Freedman said on a podcast in March, "The publicists are saying, 'We had nothing to do with this whatsoever.' And there's other people that say the same thing and that organically this press was coming out. Justin wasn't happy about anything that would be negative about Blake, about the movie, about him or anything. This wasn't just about him or just about her. This was about the project they were working on together." The trial is currently scheduled to be held in March 2026. Read the original article on People

Did you think people were done visiting Jurassic Park? Think again! Jurassic World Rebirth comes out this week, opening a brand new, star-studded chapter for the Jurassic franchise. Starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali, Rebirth will revisit the old research facility island for the original Jurassic Park, with the trio on a mission to collect dino DNA. While it's a brand new moment in the franchise, there will likely be lots of references to both the original Jurassic Park trilogy and the Jurassic World trilogy. Need a refresher on the franchise? Here's where to watch all of the Jurassic Park movies (and shows! And… short films). Five years after the events of Dominion, where dinosaurs have become old news, a team sets out on a secret mission to the oldest Jurassic Park island — the one that houses the now-defunct research facility. Their mission? To gather DNA samples from land, sea and air-dwelling dinosaurs to potentially create a groundbreaking new medicine.
