Netflix's Wednesday confirmed for season three but fans all have same complaint

Daily Record2 days ago
Netflix's Wednesday is set to return for its second season next month with show bosses confirming a third season with Jenna Ortega will also be on its way.
Netflix's hit show Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega has been confirmed for a third season just weeks before season two is set to debut next month. Wednesday is returning for its second season on August 6 after the global success of the first season of Wednesday in 2022 saw it claim the title for the most-viewed English-language series on Netflix of all time.

The announcement of the third season was made on the show's official Instagram page on Wednesday evening, of course. The poster cover shows Ortega, who plays Wednesday Addams, staring out into the distance with an ominous look on her face. Below her is Uncle Fester's hand holding a crystal ball with the number 3 on it.

The words on the image read: "Bad things come in threes." The Wednesday account captioned the announcement: "Season 2 awakens in two weeks. Season 3 is the next omen, already in motion, already inevitable."

Part one of season two is set to drop in less than two weeks time on August 6 while part two will arrive later in the year on September 3.
Season three has not been given a release date as of yet.

Fans of the show were left delighted with the update as they raced to the comment section. An update
One excited follower exclaimed: "WEDNESDAY SEASON 3 CONFIRMED?? I'm breathing black glitter right now."
Another chimed in: "This has made my day. I can't express how freakin' happy I am right now. Every day is Wednesday!"

A third joked: "I'm rising from my grave after seeing this."
A fourth added: "And season 2 hasn't even come out yet this is amazing!"

Someone else gushed: "Counting down the days till Wednesday returns and already looking forward to season 3!! Is there a season 4 in the works? I hope so."
However, elsewhere on X, formerly known as Twitter, other viewers appeared to not get too excited about the announcement as they all made the same remark about how long it will take to be released.
Replying to the tweet posted by Netflix which announced the news, one wrote: "Too long of a gap between each season, half of the audience is already gone."

A third made a similar remark as they wrote: "So we can expect it around 2030..."
Another echoed: "I hope we don't have to wait 12 years for season 3 like we have for season 2."

Somebody else joked: "Airing 2040 with 8 episodes."
The first season of Wednesday aired in November 2022 and was a colossal hit on the streaming platform.

However, fans have now been waiting almost three years for season two, which appears to have left many viewers disgruntled by the long period between seasons.
Hopefully the wait will be worth it though as Season 2 of Wednesday is set to explore darker, more complex stories, while also retaining the show's signature macabre humour.
Co-creator and showrunner Alfred Gough said: 'We think Season 2 is funnier as well!'

The second season will also see the Addams Family and Nevermore lore being expanded with mysterious new characters being introduced.
Familiar faces including Morticia, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones, Gomez, played by Luis Guzmán, and Pugsley, portrayed by Isaac Ordonez are all set to return in expanded roles.
Viewers will want to stick around for season 3 too, which promises to go even further, on every level.
Gough said: 'Our goal for Season 3 is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can. We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday.'
Co-creator and show runner Miles Millar added: 'We will be seeing more Addams Family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3!'

Charity turns to Vanessa as another devastating ordeal is confirmed in Emmerdale

Yes we see you, Vanity fans (Picture: ITV) Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) is the person Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) turns to in Emmerdale soon, as she faces a scary ordeal in the middle of her surrogacy journey. Shortly after Charity decided to try and become Sarah Sugden's (Katie Hill) surrogate, she decided not to tell Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb). Of course, it wasn't long until he found out, and wasted no time in telling Charity that he thought it was a bad idea. With really no one else to talk to, Charity chatted to Vanessa about it. Despite them being exes, Charity and Vanessa are really good friends. Vanessa was able to listen to Charity, while thinking of Mack's feelings too. Mackenzie then told Charity that he's decided to support her on the journey, which left her relieved. When he arrived at Butlers though, it became apparent that Mack had just changed his view because he believes the process wouldn't be successful anyways. Mack didn't think the surrogacy was a good idea (Picture: ITV) Charity's jumped over quite a few hurdles so far – but is disaster set to strike already? In upcoming episodes, the couple go for a walk, but Charity takes a tumble and falls to the ground. At Jacob's (Joe-Warren Plant), Charity convinces herself that everything will be fine, and fails to tell Sarah about the fall. Feeling smothered by Sarah and Jacob, Charity suggests an engagement party, hoping they will focus on something else for a little while. Charity has already made quite a bit of progress in the journey (Picture: ITV) Follow Metro Soaps on WhatsApp and get all the latest spoilers first! As viewers of the BBC One soap know, Oscar is desperate to evade thuggish associate Fat Mike (Tai Hilferink), who he grassed up to the police for stealing a car. In retaliation, Mike attempted to petrol bomb his house, and has continued to try and seek revenge by leaving a series of threatening messages and, in last week's episodes, left a knife in the kitchen chopping board as a stark warning of what he's capable of. After the two lads came face to face in Monday's instalment, a paranoid Oscar attacked a hooded figure in the hallway of sister Lauren's (Jacqueline Jossa) house, believing it to be Mike. …but it was Peter (Thomas Law)! In upcoming scenes, Mike is back on the scene and announces he needs £5,000 in exchange for Oscar's family's safety. At a loose end with where to find the cash, Oscar makes an attempt at forming a business deal with Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), but his attempts fall flat and he has to confess all to Lauren. Will she offer to help? Across the Square, Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) has been betting against his fiancée Yolande's (Angela Wynter) wishes, and is on cloud nine to see he and Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) have bagged a whopping £6,000! Yolande is furious – having already warned that she'd call off their upcoming wedding if she found him gambling again – but little does she realise, the money won't be staying in his hands for long. The family are all in The Vic when Oscar foolishly breaks into the Fox-Trueman household in a bid to steal the winnings, but is caught in the act by Patrick. Ozzy Osbourne fans emotional as family share new tribute to late Black Sabbath singer

Ozzy Osbourne's family, including his wife Sharon Osbourne, announced last week that the Black Sabbath member had died, aged 76, just weeks after his farewell concert The late Ozzy Osbourne has been the subject of yet more tributes following the news of his death almost a week ago. Fans have shared that they continue to mourn the Black Sabbath member this week ahead of his funeral. ‌ Ozzy's family announced last Tuesday that the singer-songwriter had died, aged 76, that morning, with his wife Sharon Osbourne, 72, and four of his children issuing a joint statement at the time. There was then an outpouring of tributes to him, including from his former bandmates. ‌ The verified account for Ozzy on Instagram has continued to post about him since the news broke, including in a tribute uploaded earlier today. It shared a photo that showed a logo of Ozzy's name above a black candle with a flame on top. The caption simply included an emoji depicting a candle. ‌ Accompanying the photo and its caption was the song Holy For Tonight, which was included in the post. The track, co-written by Ozzy, featured on his second most recent album, titled Ordinary Man, which was released back in 2020. The post has amassed more than 220,000 likes since it was uploaded this afternoon. Some fans took to the comments section to address the loss and reflect on it having been almost a week since 'the Prince of Darkness' died. ‌ One person wrote: "We will miss you forever." Another said: "Can't believe it's almost been a week." Whilst someone else commented: "It still hasn't sunk in." Sharing their thoughts, another fan wrote this evening: "Still doesn't seem real." Someone wrote: "I still can't believe you're gone Ozzy, thank you for everything." One person said in their reaction to the post: "You'll live forever in our hearts, Ozzy." Another wrote earlier today: "Love you Ozzy, I am still in disbelief that you have passed away. Thank you for your music." ‌ One fan commented: "I can't even begin to imagine the massive hole he has left in the lives of Sharon, his children and his grandchildren. My heart goes out to them." Another wrote in their response: "Sending light and love to all the family." Ozzy's death was announced last week by relatives including his wife Sharon. She issued a statement alongside their three children Aimee Osbourne, Jack Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne, as well as Ozzy's eldest son Louis Osbourne. They said: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis." Just weeks before his death, Ozzy had performed at a farewell concert in Birmingham as part of Black Sabbath's original line-up. He took to the stage at Villa Park stadium on July 5 in the star-studded Back to the Beginning concert and the gig is set to be turned into a film to be released next year.
