BTS is all set to make history again with the release of their first-ever live album, Permission to Dance on Stage – Live. The highly anticipated album will be available on streaming platforms globally from July 18, with pre-orders opening July 1.
The live album documents the K-pop supergroup's epic Permission to Dance on Stage world tour, which began as an online concert in October 2021 and later expanded to live stadium shows. The tour spanned 12 performances across Seoul, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, drawing over 4 million fans through in-person and virtual attendance.
Comprising 22 tracks, the album showcases live versions of BTS's most iconic hits, including 'Dynamite," 'Butter," 'Life Goes On," 'ON," and 'Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey)." This marks the first time these chart-topping tracks are being officially released in a live concert format. According to BigHit Music, the album captures 'the electrifying energy and dynamic soundscape" that defined the tour and further cemented BTS's global pop dominance.
In addition to the audio album, fans will also get a digital visual treat with BTS Permission to Dance on Stage – Seoul. This component features a 141-minute video compilation from BTS's closing performance at Seoul's Olympic Stadium in March 2022. The package also includes a 92-page digital interview photobook with exclusive behind-the-scenes moments, available via a digital card that unlocks VOD content on the Weverse platform.
Since debuting in 2013, BTS, comprising RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, has set global benchmarks in the music industry. With six Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles and five Grammy nominations between 2021 and 2023, the group's rise has been nothing short of meteoric.
They've also bagged top honors at the Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, and MTV VMAs. All seven members recently completed their mandatory military enlistment and reunited in June, much to the joy of their devoted ARMY.
