Jake Dennis ends bad luck streak with Berlin podium ahead of London home race: 'It's more for morale'
Jake Dennis is steadily climbing the ladder back to form. The Andretti driver secured second place on the podium in Round 14 of the Formula E race at the Berlin E-Prix on Sunday. This marked his second podium of the season, following his third-place finish in Monaco.
Dennis shared his thoughts after the race in Berlin, which also saw Nissan driver Oliver Rowland clinch the Formula E World Championship title.
Jake Dennis's podium finish in Berlin
Just a day earlier, Dennis had retired from Round 13 due to technical issues with his car. He had also come close to claiming his first win of the season in Jakarta last month after starting from pole position, but an unfortunate collision with Mahindra Racing's Nyck De Vries cost him the victory.
Things finally aligned for him on Sunday at the Berlin E-Prix, as he capitalized on an Attack Mode overlap to secure second place. The race was won by Jaguar TCS Racing's Nick Cassidy, while DS Penske's Jean-Eric Vergne finished third.

Sharing a picture of the champagne celebrations on the podium at the Tempelhof Airport Circuit, Dennis wrote on Instagram: 'P2!! Awesome race for us and perfectly executed! Great job by the whole team! A moment to say congrats to @oliverrowland1! So happy for you mate, world class all year! World champion looks good on you!'
Speaking after the race, Dennis reflected on his recent struggles, having finished 17th in consecutive races leading up to Berlin.
'We had a really good race car and the strategy we took into the race was perfectly executed. I had every opportunity to win this race, and we got pretty close. I'm not too surprised to be up here — I'm just super happy for myself and for the team. We've been on a real bad luck streak recently, so to reward them with a P2 is the least I could do,' he said.
Berlin E-Prix
Looking ahead to his home race in London, which also serves as the Season 11 Formula E finale, Dennis said, 'I'm excited to have this little boost going into the final stretch, my home race in London. It's needed. It's more for morale. Oliver [Rowland] has already won the championship, so massive congratulations to him. I'm super happy for him, he's a good friend of mine.'

Gracie Hunt latches onto her trending romance with Derek Green following a difficult breakup
Gracie Hunt confirms her dating rumor: Image via Getty Clark Hunt's daughter, Gracie Hunt, has been the hottest talk of the town for the last few weeks. The eldest daughter of the 'football royalty', the heiress of the Chiefs' generational owner, loves to keep fans guessing over her ever-intriguing love life, but not anymore. The 26-year-old shared a romantic bond with former quarterback Cody Keith until March this year. After dating for a few months, eagle-eyed fans didn't go unheeded when she deleted all the social media photos with Keith and unfollowed each other on social media as well. Those sweet kisses, those electric nightclub hook steps immediately went into the trash and never returned. Instead, the Gracie launched a 'mystery man', who is none other than Derek Green, the son of NFL stalwart Trent Green. Gracie Hunt doubled down on hot-debated 'dating' life Gracie and Green were now leaving their cozy life together away from the crowd in an unknown scenic location before going Instagram Saturday, the football diva set the internet on fire vibing in a coal-black dress. Miss Kansas USA Pageant's romantic gateway with new beau went viral in seconds, with fans already gushing over their courtship. ''The sky doesn't rush to heal—but it never stops shining. We're learning to do the same,' ' the 26-year-old shared a relationship philosophy with the breathtaking pose last weekend. Now, she is going all in, officially declaring she's dating Derek Green. The football diva posted a reel highlighting all of her special moments with Green to make a thank you note. ''You look happier. Thank you, I am dating my best friend,'' wrote Gracie. No more buzzes. It's signed and sealed. It's a slow-burning romance. The couple met seven and a half years ago at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, eventually growing into each other's best friends. The Cupid Aero didn't hit instantly, but inevitably with time. And now, it seems they are on a mission to make the entire internet community jealous. However, to those casting an evil eye, it's not just creamy and rosy for Hunt lately as she suffered a personal loss a week back. Gracie Hunt survived a traumatic event weeks ago The Kansas City Chiefs heiress is still processing the devastating aftermath of the recent Texas flood that shook up the world like anything. Her grief, however, isn't just a generic empathy; it's acutely personal. Hunt lost her tiny relative, a 9-year-old girl, Janie Hunt. Janie was among those ill-fated ones who attended the Camp Mystic summer retreat when the region was hit by the fatal flash floods. The Hunt family couldn't really heal from the pain, even though thousands came together to pour their condolences for the little departed soul. Gracie tried in her own way to release it. The deeply philanthropic soul took a deep dive into the world of contrasts that we live in and asked the almighty, " Some days it's hard to understand how the world can hold so much beauty and so much pain! How can the same god who created the stars and set the planets in motion allow such deep suffering?'' The questions remain unanswered, echoing into the hollow. But then life goes on. The same contradiction of events Hunt reflected at her post might explain itself through her own life events. Somewhere, it's deep agony, a trembling silence, somewhere, it's a cool breeze of a new-born romance, crazy, unfiltered.
