The announcement of the Telugu-dubbed version's release was made by Asian
Suresh
Entertainment. The dubbed version will be hitting the big screen on May 23.
The banner took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the announcement, "What was buried wasn't just the truth - it was unserved justice. @asiansureshent is proud to bring #KesariChapter2 - a powerful story of justice and resilience, to theatres in Telugu on May 23rd!"
The digital promotions for the Telugu version are expected to kick off soon.

'Kesari: Chapter 2' portrays an impactful and heart-moving chapter of India's freedom struggle, focusing on the courageous legal battle led by advocate Chettur Sankaran Nair, portrayed by Akshay Kumar. The film is based on the book The Case That Shook The Empire by Raghu and Pushpa Palat, and it depicts how Nair challenged the British Crown in court to expose the brutal truth behind the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919. Alongside Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan plays advocate Neville McKinley, while Ananya Panday appears as Dilreet Gill.

As per Sacnilk.com as of 26 days, the film has earned approximately Rs 88 crore net in India. The film's occupancy rates hovered around 15% in major Hindi-speaking regions by mid-May.

Actor Rajkummar Rao, whom we usually see playing boy-next-door characters, is seen in a completely new avatar as a gangster in his latest release Maalik. Going by the box office numbers, the film had a lukewarm start on Friday. However, it saw an increase in its collection over the weekend and minted Rs 5.09 crore on Sunday, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 14.1 crore. Maalik had an underwhelming start at the box office on Friday, minting Rs 3.75 crore. However, thanks to positive word-of-mouth, the film saw a 40 percent jump in its collection on Saturday, raking in Rs 5.25 crore. The film tried to maintain the same momentum on Sunday and earned Rs 5.09 crore, which was a 3 percent drop from Saturday's collection. Maalik had an overall 20.77 percent Hindi occupancy on Sunday, with the maximum occupancy of 29.79 percent seen in evening shows. The film saw a 22.81% occupancy at night. Morning and afternoon slots were slower, at 8.05% and 22.43% respectively. Maalik is facing major competition from the multi-starrer Metro… In Dino. The Anurag Basu directorial minted Rs 4.75 crore on its second Sunday, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 38.55 crore. The film maitained a strady momentum over its second weekend and saw an over 95% jump on Saturday, minting Rs 4.6 crore, following a further increase on Sunday. Not just Metro… In Dino, the Rajkummar Rao-starrer also clashed with Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor's debut film Ankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, which released on the same day. However, Ankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan has failed to make a mark at the box office, minting Rs 41 lakh on Sunday and earning Rs 1.2 crore within the first three days of release. Before Maalik, Rajkummar had delivered Bhool Chuk Maaf. The film performed better than Maalik and collected Rs 28 crore within the first three days of release, far more than Maalik's Rs 14.1 crore. In fact, Rajkummar's last flop film – Mr & Mrs Mahi – earned more than Maalik, minting Rs 16.85 crore within the same timeframe.

Superman box office collection day 4: David Corenswet's reboot earns Rs 25.50 cr in India, beats Man of Steel's US opening
James Gunn's new iteration of Superman, starring David Corenswet as the titular superhero, has finally given DC a long-awaited hit. It became the first DC title to surpass $100 million in its opening weekend since Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman in 2017. With its $122 million opening in North America, Superman has also surpassed Zack Snyder's 2013 reboot Man of Steel, starring Henry Cavill, which fetched an opening of $116 million. However, it remains far behind the $166 million launch for Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016. Superman is DC's first success after a streak of flops, including Todd Phillips' Joker: Folie à Deux last year, Andres Muschietti's The Flash (2023), and David F Sandberg's Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023). Superman is intended as a new start. It's the first release fully steered by Gunn and Peter Safran, co-heads of DC Studios, as part of their new DC Universe. Superman has also allowed Warner Bros to continue its roll at the box office. After duds like George Miller's Furiosa: The Mad Max Saga last year, Warner Bros has maintained its stronghold this year with A Minecraft Movie, Sinners, Final Destination Bloodlines, and F1, all of which, along with Superman, opened above $45 million in the US. With its opening weekend collection in India, Superman has surpassed that of the major Hindi release this week, Pulkit's action drama Maalik, starring Rajkummar Rao, which collected Rs 14.25 crore over the opening weekend. For the third time in a month, a Hollywood release has beaten its Bollywood counterpart at the Indian box office. Last month, Brad Pitt's F1 surpassed Kajol-starrer Maa, whereas earlier this month, Scarlett Johansson-starrer Jurassic World Rebirth opened bigger than Sara Ali Khan-starrer Metro… In Dino.
