Auburn's Fralick, Rembert named Freshman All-Americans by Baseball America
Fralick and Rembert made early impacts for the Tigers, impressing the experts at Baseball America.
The awards keep rolling in for Auburn baseball after their turnaround season. The latest players acknowledged for their 2025 season are freshmen Chase Fralick and Chris Rembert. On Monday, they were both named to the First Team Freshman All-America team by Baseball America. Both Fralick and Rembert were honored this season, along with Bub Terrell, on the Freshman All-SEC Team.
Fralick played catcher for the Tigers in 2025. He was third on the team with a batting average of .335 and was fifth on the team with 41 RBIs. He played well in helping guide the Tigers to a Regional Championship. In the three games versus Central Connecticut State, Stetson, and NC State, he had four hits and one RBI. Fralick scored two runs in an 11-1 win over NC State to clinch the Regional Championship.
Second baseman Chris Rembert was not only on the Freshman All-SEC Team but was also on the All-SEC Second Team. He was second on the Tigers with a batting average of .344 and third on the team with 72 hits. Rembert was also third on the team with ten home runs behind Ike Irish and Cooper McMurray. Rembert had perhaps one of his best games of the season against NC State with four hits and four RBIs. He had another four-hit game earlier in the season against Mississippi State in a 6-5 win on April 25th.
Both Rembert and Fralick were huge parts of the Tigers' success, as they were one of the top seeds in the NCAA Baseball Tournament and hosted their first-ever Super Regional. The future is bright for both players and the Tigers.

Twins vs. Tigers picks, best bets: MLB odds, predictions Sunday
Twinkies and Tigers in Detroit. Minnesota's levelheaded Chris Paddack is a career 30-30. That's the good news. The bad news? Paddack panicked in his past three starts, allowing 16 runs on 23 hits over 14 forgettable innings. And yet, Paddack escaped, going 1-0 over the rough patch. The Cats counter with their ace Tarik Skubal, who has won four straight but was less than sharp in his most recent start. The Athletics took it to Tarik, scoring four runs. But Skubal hasn't lost a game since April 2. Chris Paddack Getty Images This screwball thinks he won't lose here either. Play $50 on the Tigers. Road kill. Pirates reliever Dennis Santana begins serving 3-game suspension for confrontation with a fan
Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Dennis Santana throws against the Detroit Tigers in the ninth inning during the second baseball game of a doubleheader, Thursday, June 19, 2025, in Detroit. (AP Photo/Paul Sancya) PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh Pirates reliever Dennis Santana will serve a three-game suspension, reduced from four, for an altercation with a fan during a game at the Detroit Tigers on June 19. The suspension went into immediate effect, beginning Sunday with the finale of a three-game home series against the New York Mets. Santana will also sit against the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday and Tuesday before being eligible to return in the finale of that series Wednesday. Advertisement Santana, in the second game of a June 19 doubleheader, was seen in videos posted on social media pointing out the fan to a police officer before jumping and swinging at the person who was in the front row above Pittsburgh's bullpen at Comerica Park. After jumping at the fan, Santana was escorted away by Pirates bullpen personnel and held back by a teammate. Santana later got the first out of the ninth inning before a rain delay stopped what became an 8-4 Pirates win in 10 innings. 'You guys know me and I'm a calm-demeanor type of person,' Santana said after that game through an interpreter. 'I've never had any issues with any of the teams that I've played for and I guess the guy crossed the line a few times. I would not like to go into it.' Advertisement Santana, a 29-year-old right-hander, is 2-1 with a 1.50 ERA and five saves in 36 games this season. He has allowed one hit in 4 2/3 innings across four appearances since the day of the incident. In a 9-2 win over the Mets on Saturday, Santana struck out two with one walk in 1 2/3 innings. ___ AP MLB:

BetMGM Bonus Code WIREBG150: Grab $150 Bonus for Skubal, Tigers vs Twins on Sunday Night
The Detroit Tigers haven't hosted a Sunday Night Baseball game since 2017, but Tarik Skubal gets the ESPN spotlight tonight when the Tigers face the Minnesota Twins. If you want to wager on baseball, soccer, golf or anything else happening today, then you need to check out the BetMGM bonus code WIREBG150 that gives you $150 in bonus bets when you win a $10 first bet. Here's the WIREBG150 offer: If you're a new bettor in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania or West Virginia, then you'll collect three $50 bonus bets (plus your winnings) when you win your $10 first bet. New bettors in the other states BetMGM operates can use the BetMGM bonus code SBWIRE to clinch a protected first bet up to $1,500. The Tigers are one of the feel-good stories of this season. Instead of regressing after last year's run to the AL divisional playoffs, they put together the best first-half record in baseball. That's why ESPN flexed this game into the Sunday Night Baseball slot. As an added bonus, the world gets to focus on Skubal — who's merely the best pitcher in the game. Detroit has won 10 of Skubal's last 11 starters — and the only loss was a 1-0 defeat to the Kansas City Royals after Skubal threw seven shutout innings. If you're looking for other hot pitchers today, how about Atlanta's Spencer Strider before the Braves host the Philadelphia Phillies? He has struck out 29 in his last 17 innings, so check the BetMGM app — one of the nation's top sports betting apps — to check his over-under for strikeouts. Before you do anything, you have to sign up for one of the biggest sportsbook promos out there. Hit the nearest BET NOW button and then type in either the BetMGM bonus code WIREBG150 or the BetMGM bonus code SBWIRE to activate your welcome offer. BetMGM Bonus Code Promos: Get $150 in Bonus Bets or $1500 First-Bet Offer The United States Men's National Team has a great chance to win the CONCACAF Gold Cup — but the path to a championship starts with a win over Costa Rica in tonight's quarterfinal at Minneapolis. The USMNT is a solid favorite but double-check BetMGM's soccer tab to find the latest odds on this match and everything else happening in the Gold Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup. Today's Round of 16 action in the Club World Cup features a doozy between Paris Saint-Germain and Lionel Messi's Inter Miami squad. Can the world's most celebrated player take down the odds-on favorite to win it all? Don't forget the PGA Tour and NASCAR keep rolling today. The Rocket Classic doesn't attract a ton of huge names to Detroit Golf Club, but you're rarely going to find a more hotly contested tournament. Last year, four golfers came up just one stroke shy of champ Cam Davis. NASCAR, meanwhile, enjoys some night race at Atlanta Speedway. If you check the latest racing odds, you're likely to see Ryan Blaney as the favorite. But don't sleep on Chase Briscoe. He won last week at Pocono and won the pole three straight weeks recently. In a similar vein, don't sleep on BetMGM's strong welcome offers. Remember, new bettors in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Viriginia cite the BetMGM bonus code WIREBG150 to get $150 in bonus bets for winning a $10 first bet. Everyone else uses the BetMGM bonus code SBWIRE to guarantee themselves a protected first bet up to $1,500. How to Sign Up for the BetMGM Bonus Code Offer If you're 21 or older (in most states) and in one of the more than 20 states where BetMGM operates, you can sign up for a new account with a BetMGM bonus code in a matter of minutes. Here's how: If you're signed up for the $1,500 BetMGM bonus code SBWIRE, place your first bet on any of today's matchups (or any other set of odds), and if it settles as a loss, you'll get bonus bets back. For wagers of $50 and up, the refund comes as five equal bonus bets, while smaller wagers get a single matching credit. With the BetMGM bonus code WIREBG150, you can wager on any set of odds, and if it comes back as a win, you get your winnings plus three $50 bet credits. After signing up for your BetMGM bonus code offer, place your qualifying bet within seven days. You'll have a seven-day window from when bonus bets are deposited to use them or they will expire.
