Man wanted after 3 bodies found in Bracebridge home destroyed by fire: Police
According to a release, officers were called to a residence on Beatrice Town Line Road around 8:00 p.m. on Friday, following reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, police discovered one deceased person outside and the house fully engulfed in flames.

Two additional bodies were later found Sunday morning inside the destroyed home.
The OPP says Mitchell Gray, 29, of Bracebridge is wanted on a murder warrant. He is described as a white male, approximately 5'8″ tall, with light brown hair and facial hair.
A shelter-in-place order was put in place during the initial police response, which was lifted at approximately 1:45 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025.

Police say there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the identities of the deceased. Post-mortem examinations will be conducted to determine the cause of death and confirm identities.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or Gray's whereabouts to contact the OPP, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.

Amherstburg man arrested in North Bay after ramming cruisers and fleeing, police say
Police in northern Ontario have arrested and charged an Amherstburg man after he allegedly rammed two cruisers while fleeing officers. The incident began last week, when police in North Bay, Ont., got a call from the Windsor Police Service about "an active investigation," according to a press release. The man in question already "had an outstanding warrant from a previous North Bay incident," the North Bay Police Service said Friday. North Bay police found the man in the city, per the press release. "When officers attempted to stop and contain his vehicle using two police cruisers, the accused rammed the vehicles and fled the scene." Police in North Bay then called in the help of the OPP's canine and other units. "The accused was located and arrested without further incident by Parry Sound OPP and then transported back to North Bay, where he was formally charged," North Bay police said. The 28-year-old man faces several charges, including cocaine trafficking, flight from a peace officer, failure to comply with a probation order, and dangerous operation of a conveyance. "This arrest highlights the importance of inter-agency cooperation and the commitment of our officers, who acted quickly and effectively to locate and apprehend a wanted individual who posed a significant risk to public safety," Inspector Scott McFarlane of the North Bay Police Service said in the press release. Police said the accused was held in custody and appeared for a show cause bail hearing.

Salsa jar containing cocaine leads to arrest
A male has been charged after OPP in Collingwood discovered illegal drugs in a salsa jar. According to OPP, a traffic stop was initiated just after 3:00 a.m. on First Street in Collingwood after officers saw the vehicle with no headlights or taillights. While speaking with the driver, officers noticed a controlled substance in the vehicle and after a search of the car, officers discovered 55 grams of suspected cocaine that was inside of a salsa container. Cash and drug paraphernalia were also seized. As a result of the investigation, a 48-year-old from Collingwood faces multiple charges including possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking, section 5(2), Controlled Drugs & Substances Act, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 - in Canada, section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code, drive without proper headlights - motor vehicle, section 62(1), Highway Traffic Act, and operate a motor vehicle without insurance, section 2(1)(a), Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act. The man is set to appear in court in Collingwood at a later date.
