Slow-Mo Video of Caitlin Clark's Flagrant Foul on Angel Reese Emerges
Reese had the ball on the block and was wide open for an easy layup when Clark wrapped both arms around her and swiped down hard at the ball, sending Reese to the hardwood. Reese wasn't happy—she immediately got up and said something to Clark.

Before she could get in Clark's face, Fever teammate Aliyah Boston stepped in. Clark then walked toward the bench with her hands up.
Following the play, ESPN, which broadcast the game, showed fans a slow-motion replay of what occurred.
The referees reviewed the play and ultimately gave Clark a flagrant one foul, while Boston and Reese were each assessed double technical fouls.
ESPN's Holly Rowe later interviewed Clark during a timeout, admitting it was "just a good take foul" and there was "nothing malicious about it."
"It's just a good take foul," Clark said. "Either Angel gets wide open 2 points or we send them to the free throw line. Nothing malicious about it. It's just a good take foul every basketball player knows that."

Lynx acquire DiJonai Carrington from Wings for Diamond Miller, Karlie Samuelson, second-round pick
The Minnesota Lynx acquired guard DiJonai Carrington from the Dallas Wings, the teams announced on Sunday. Going to Dallas in exchange are forward Diamond Miller, guard Karlie Samuelson and the Lynx's 2027 second-round draft pick. Minnesota already had the WNBA's best record by a rather significant margin at 24-5, six games ahead of the reigning champion New York Liberty. Now, the Lynx have bolstered their defense by adding Carrington. The five-year veteran was named to the All-Defensive first team last season, in addition to winning the league's Most Improved Player award. This season with the Wings, Carrington averaged 10.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 20 games. She was Dallas' third-leading scorer behind Paige Bueckers and Arike Ogunbowale. If she maintains that production, Carrington will be Minnesota's fourth-leading scorer and rebounder. Carrington, 27, was in her first season with Dallas after playing four years with the Connecticut Sun, who drafted her in the second round of the 2021 WNBA Draft. Last year, she averaged 12.7 points and five rebounds per game on her way to winning Most Improved Player honors while the Sun finished with the WNBA's second-best record at 28-12 before losing the Lynx in the playoff semifinals. Patriots draft bust makes highlight reel catch at Chiefs practice
Former New England Patriots wide receiver Tyquan Thornton is making an impact in training camp for the Kansas City Chiefs. Fans have been buzzing about his incredible corner end zone reception on a throw from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes at a recent practice. Mahomes threw a perfect corner pass behind the defender, and Thornton went up to get the ball, while also making sure to tap both toes inbounds before falling out.
