Mel B wedding guest feared groom would be 'left at the altar'

A guest who attended Mel B's wedding to Rory McPhee over the weekend has revealed he feared that the groom would be left at the altar as the singer was late
Melanie Brown's wedding guest feared her husband would be left at the altar due to her being late. Over the weekend, the Spice Girls icon married her long-term fiancée, Rory McPhee, at a stunning ceremony held at St. Paul's Cathedral.
The 50-year-old chart topper looked stunning as she wore a figure-hugging classic white gown after arriving in a white Rolls-Royce car. Meanwhile, her husband, Rory, arrived with his parents and brother as he rocked a traditional Scottish kilt, apparently wearing it fully traditionally.

However, Melanie was delayed arriving at the ceremony, leaving Dave Hughes fearing that she might not turn up. Melanie had been extremely excited about the wedding and struggled to contain her joy whenever she spoke about it.

Dave, who worked with Melanie on the Australian version of The Masked Singer, was one of several high-profile guests at the ceremony, held at the OBE Chapel, also known as St. Faith's Chapel at the London landmark. He said that he and his wife, Holly, had been "stoked" to attend the wedding.
"Mel was half an hour late," he told the Daily Mail. He went on to add: "I was slightly concerned Rory was gonna be left at the aisle in his kilt - no undies and no bride. But she turned up! Mel's little dog was entrusted to bring the ring down the aisle but she got lost and had to be chased around the chapel. Funny moment!"

But despite being excited to attend the ceremony, Dave almost missed his chance. He received the invite from Melanie's wedding planner when he was appearing on the Australian version of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in South Africa, and only found the email after he left the jungle.
Each year, only a select number of people are allowed to marry at St. Paul's and thanks to Melanie being awarded an MBE for her services to charity work supporting Women's Aid, she was one of them. The cathedral states that they are able to marry people who have an OBE, the order of St Michael and St George and those who hold a British Empire Medal and their children.

Melanie was walked down the aisle by James Steen, the husband of Louise Grannon, Melanie's biographer. While her now husband, Rory, was supported at the alter by his best man, brother, Jordan McPhee.
Melanie was supported by her bandmate, Emma Bunton, just days after the Mirror revealed why she was the only Spice Girl attending the ceremony. There had been reports that both Geri Horner and Lady Victoria Beckham had been snubbed but a source close to the band revealed to me that this wasn't the case.

"There's no snub; the girls are all on friendly terms with one another, but it's no secret that Geri is busy with Christian at Formula One, and Victoria is extremely busy with her fashion brand," my mole said. Geri was at the British Grand Prix with her husband, while Melanie C, known as Sporty Spice, was performing in Rødovre, eastern Denmark, and Victoria had commitments with her fashion business.
Emma, known as Baby Spice, delighted those in attendance by singing at the ceremony. She told the Mirror: "I am so excited to be here, I can't wait for the wedding." Leeds-born Melanie worked very closely with London-based Evelie Bridal and Josephine Scott to design the georgette crepe gown, which showcased her gym-honed physique in a corset bodice. Her beautiful gown featured draping, which hugged her silhouette and flowed freely into a dramatic train.
Meanwhile, a detachable jacket was decorated with hand-embellished pearl constellations across the high neckline, with the long-sleeved jacket framing her shoulders and adding a regal touch to her gown, in true St Paul's etiquette.

EXCLUSIVE Mom who was fiercely slammed for taking seven-year-old daughter to get spray tan claps back at haters

A mom who was fiercely slammed for letting her seven-year-old daughter get a spray tan has clapped back at the haters. Noel LaPalomento, from New Jersey, has become a viral social media sensation, wracking up millions of followers while documenting her day-to-day endeavors as a mother of two. She often shares videos of herself and her 'mini me' daughter, Giada, seven, partaking in various beauty trends together and trying out skincare products. But when the influencer posted a recent clip revealing that she was taking her daughter to get a spray tan, it sparked immense backlash. Now, she has responded to the criticism during an exclusive chat with the Daily Mail, and she insisted that it was a completely safe and fun activity for her daughter to partake in. 'It was safe and made her feel happy,' she explained. 'To me, it's not as deep as some people are making it. 'I know my child, I know my intentions, and I stand by my choice as her mom because there was nothing harmful or inappropriate about it.' She added, 'It's definitely not a crazy concept for people who grew up in the area I grew up in either.' In her now-viral TikTok, which has so far received more than 17 million views, Noel wrote in a text overlay, 'My seven-year-old wanted a spray tan so I booked us both an appointment.' Footage showed her and the youngster shaking hands as they mouthed along to the song Illegal by PinkPantheress. She then documented their trip to the tanning salon and uploaded it in another video. 'Come get a spray tan with us, Giada's going to get her first ever spray tan today,' she told her followers in the beginning. 'Mind your business,' she added, addressing the haters. 'It's just sugar and water.' A montage of clips then showed them entering the facility to get the spray tan and a worker spraying the product all over Giada's arms. But many of Noel's followers were unsettled by the youngster getting a spray tan, and the comment section of both videos were flooded with negative replies. Some people claimed it would give her 'self esteem issues,' while others encouraged her to do more kid-friendly things like play outside. 'Period. Start giving her self esteem issues at the age of seven,' one user sarcastically wrote. 'I didn't even know what a spray tan was at seven,' another added, along with crying emojis. 'Make her go outside if she wants a tan? She's seven. She doesn't need a spray tan,' urged someone else. 'Make her… go outside… go swimming...? Do KID things,' a fourth comment read. 'She does not need a spray tan. She's SEVEN,' said a fifth. 'Hell nah girl, she's seven,' scathed a different viewer. '"Seven" and "spray tan" in the same sentence is wild,' commented someone else. 'Or... you could just TAKE HER OUTSIDE,' another person wrote. More comments read, 'I'm so glad I had a childhood,' 'Is this illegal? It feels illegal,' 'She's seven... help her love her skin,' and, 'It's time parents started to treat their kids like KIDS and not their friends.' Some people claimed it would give her 'self esteem issues,' while others encouraged her to do more kid-friendly things like play outside While chatting with the Daily Mail, Noel explained that including her daughter in her social media content has always felt right. 'Back in 2020 I started posting outfit of the day videos, advice, and really anything that came to my mind - I was just being myself,' she explained of how she became a viral star. 'Slowly, this turned into me sharing my life as a mom as well, [and] people just fell in love with each of us and our dynamic together. 'Not sharing her felt unnatural. She's with me 24/7 and such a big part of who I am.' In recent months, many popular 'momfluencers' have decided to stop sharing their kids online out of concerns for their safety. Noel explained that she constantly 'thinks' about that, but insisted that she's 'careful with what she shares' to ensure her children are protected. 'I only share what feels respectful, appropriate, and in her best interest,' she added. In the end, she stands by her decisions and thinks there is no harm in exposing her young daughter to makeup, spray tans, and skincare products, regardless of what her haters might say. 'I don't think there's anything wrong with being creative and expressing yourself growing up,' she concluded.

Notorious Scottish gangster hangs out with Noel Gallagher and Matt Smith at Oasis backstage party

A notorious Scottish gangster has been pictured hanging out with Oasis stars and a former Doctor Who actor during a backstage shindig at the Britpop icons' reunion gig in Cardiff. Robert Kelbie, 41, who is a convicted fraudster, was snapped grinning broadly as he rubbed shoulders with the likes of Noel Gallagher. The Scots crook, who was sporting a VIP badge to the exclusive shindig, also posed alongside former Time Lord Matt Smith, who played the Doctor from 2010 to 2013, as well as Oasis' guitarist, Gem Archer. Kelbie, of Edinburgh, brazenly shared snaps of his playboy encounter hobnobbing with the A-listers on his Instagram account. And the former convict uploaded a video of himself at the gig living it up, with the soundtrack of Oasis' hit 'Stay Young', with the caption: '#oasis #oasismania what a great night. They're definitely a must see.' The tune, with its lyrics 'stay young and invincible, come what may we're unstoppable' could be a veiled dig at his rivals still in the criminal underworld. Kelbie, now living it up as a flashy boxing promoter, is a known enemy of jailed cocaine kingpin Mark Richardson, 38. Richardson is currently locked up, while his associates - including feared members of the ruthless Daniel Clan - are engaged in an alleged bloody turf war with Dubai-based Ross 'Miami' McGill and a group dubbed 'Tamo Junto' (TMJ). Sources have claimed Kelbie is lapping up his party lifestyle while his old rivals are engaged in a bitter feud. 'Kelbie makes out that he's some sort of socialite and pals with the Gallagher brothers and most of these people won't know his past,' one source told the Sun. McGill, a former Rangers football ultras 'capo', is thought to be orchestrating the war against Richardson and the Daniels from Dubai with TMJ. Gangsters working for Richardson are believed to have ripped off McGill with £500,000 of fake cash for a cocaine shipment. The Lyons gang - rivals of of Glasgow's Daniel Clan - were alleged to have fed McGill information on the Edinburgh-based gangsters as he conducted his campaign of revenge. He is alleged to have ordered knife attacks, shootings and firebombings across the Central Belt sparking a tit-for-tat gangland clash which has been running rampant. Kelbie - who in 2012 admitted to a £145,000 mortgage fraud - has links to fugitive Irish kingpin and ex-fight promoter, Daniel Kinahan. Back in 2010, he was shot in the back outside a Bannatyne's Health Club in Edinburgh. In 2013, a hail of bullets were fired at the hood's home, which was fortified with spiked railings and CCTV cameras. He later fled his home at Ratho Station, Edinburgh in 2016, after it was blasted by Gerard Docherty, 45 - who was jailed for more than ten years ears in 2018 alongside Richardson and other members of a £200million supergang. Kelbie has since reinvented himself as a boxing promoter and has previously been pictured rubbing shoulders for former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. Other celeb selfies include one of him posing with legendary former Manchester United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson, 82, retired England ace Wayne Rooney and controversial boxing legend Mike Tyson. Kelbie's latest snap come just days after the funerals of two Scottish gangsters on Friday after they were gunned down in the Costa del Sol. Top 'Lyons' gang figures Ross Monaghan, 43, and Eddie Lyons Jnr, 46, were shot dead in the hours after the Champions League final at Monaghans bar in Fuengirola, Spain, on May 31. Their bodies were released to their families by Spanish authorities earlier this week and today their funerals took place back-to-back at a crematorium in north Glasgow. About 600 wellwishers crammed into Bishopbriggs Crematorium on the outskirts of Glasgow on Friday, with the chapel - which has seating for 120 people - being packed out with standing room only. An estimated 200 people were forced to brave heavy rain outside as the ceremony was played on TV screens and through speakers, while a guitarist and violinist performed inside at the start or the service. Mourners attended the funeral despite alleged threats from underworld hoods, which saw the service given a heightened level of security.
