Mane to miss friendlies with Republic of Ireland & England
Mane, 33, is the only notable omission from a 26-man squad announced by coach Pape Thiaw on Tuesday.
The former Liverpool player, now turning out for Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr, has won 111 caps for his country.
"It's a personal decision that is his private business, and I respect that as a coach," Thiaw told a news conference.
Mane was the subject of criticism for his last performances for Senegal in March, in which they drew with Sudan and beat Togo in World Cup qualifiers.
Thiaw has included one newcomer in his squad - midfielder Mamadou Lamine Camara, who won the African Confederation Cup on Sunday with his Moroccan club Renaissance Berkane.
Seven players return to the squad after missing the March fixtures, including Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson and Everton's Iliman Ndiaye.
Senegal play the Republic of Ireland in Dublin on Friday 6 June and then face England in Nottingham on Tuesday 10 June.

Vancouver's Dragon Boat Festival pushed out by FIFA World Cup
VANCOUVER - Organizers of the annual Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival in Vancouver say the event will be cancelled next year to make way for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Dominic Lai, the operations director with Dragon Boat BC, says the city declined to provide permits for 2026 edition of the festival. Lai says they have been told Vancouver's host city agreement for World Cup prohibits cultural and sporting events during a certain time frame and also restricts events within a certain radius of BC Place Stadium. The dragon boat festival usually takes place in late June, with last year's event drawing 200 teams from nine countries. He says the festival takes place in the restricted area, about 20 metres from the stadium that's set to host seven games during the World Cup next in June. A statement from Dragon Boat BC says the group had presented the city and the provincial government with different options for locations and time frames for its festival over the last few years, but it had not been successful in finding a solution. 'At this time, there is no confirmed support from the city and the province for the alternate scenarios we have presented,' it says. 'Without clear information and support, non-profit organizations like Dragon Boat BC will have to navigate the challenging operational and financial impacts of the host city agreement on their own.' The City of Vancouver directed a request for comment to the B.C. government. A statement from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport says it was aware that next year's dragon boat festival has been cancelled. It says the 2026 FIFA World Cup was announced in 2022, and many event organizers have used the 'lead time' to find alternative dates and locations. Lai says it's not as simple as changing the date, as the dragon boat festival depends on water conditions, the availability of docks and when competitors can attend. He likened the 2026 FIFA World Cup to 'the second pandemic' that is delivering a 'substantial' financial blow to his organization. Lai says hosting the FIFA World Cup is meant to benefit the entire community. 'The legacy of FIFA needs to be one where the community comes out stronger than before,' he says. 'That's really important to make sure that … all these community organizations are in a good place to benefit from these impacts after FIFA is gone.' The city and the B.C. government have said hosting seven matches is estimated to generate more than $1 billion in visitor spending and create some 18,000 jobs. Turner returns to Revolution on loan from Lyon after transfer to French team from Nottingham Forest
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Matt Turner is returning to his Major League Soccer roots as he looks to get back into position to compete for the starting job as U.S. national team's goalkeeper. Turner transferred from England's Nottingham Forest to France's Lyon on Friday, then was loaned to the New England Revolution through June 30, 2026, in a deal that gives the Revolution an option to acquire his rights. Turner will be a designated player on the Revolution's roster for the remainder of the 2025 season. He'll be eligible for targeted allocation money in 2026. Turner left the Revolution for Arsenal ahead of the 2022-23 season but played in just five Europa League and two FA Cup matches and transferred to Forest in August 2023 . He lost the No. 1 spot there after allowing soft goals against Tottenham, Manchester United and Arsenal and was loaned for 2024-25 to Crystal Palace, where he played in just one League Cup game and three FA Cup matches — none after March 1. Turner was displaced by New York City's Matt Freese as the U.S. goalkeeper for this year's CONCACAF Gold Cup. The 31-year-old Turner became the No. 1 U.S. goalkeeper ahead of the 2022 World Cup and had started 14 consecutive competitive matches for the U.S. and 23 of 24 before the Gold Cup. Turner will now look to get back to that level in New England, where he made his pro debut in 2016.
