The Dell G16 7630 is the successor of the Dell G16 7620, featuring the 13th-generation Intel Core i9 processor and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card. The gaming laptop also packs 16GB of RAM, which our guide on how much RAM do you need says is the best place to start for gaming. With these specifications, you'll be able to play the best PC games without any trouble, though you'll have to stick to medium settings for the more demanding titles. The gaming laptop also comes with Windows 11 Home pre-installed in its 1TB SSD, which will provide enough storage space for multiple games with all of their important updates.
With a weight of just over 6 pounds, a 16-inch screen, and a battery that can last about 6 hours from a full charge, the Dell G16 is a portable machine that will be easy to bring with you wherever you go. The display offers QHD+ resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate, so the graphics of your favorite video games will look sharp, and its support for Nvidia's G-Sync means there will be no stuttering and screen tearing for a more immersive experience.
Gamers who are on the hunt for gaming laptop deals will want to consider the Dell G16 as it's on sale from Dell. This configuration with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card is available for $1,300, following a $400 discount on its sticker price of $1,700. There's a chance that the offer expires as soon as tomorrow though, so if you don't want to miss out on getting the Dell G16 gaming laptop for a lower price than usual, you should add it to your cart and proceed with the checkout process immediately.

The laptop deals at Amazon ahead of Prime Day are rubbish – here are 13 genuinely good offers I'd buy instead

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. This year's early Prime Day deals at Amazon have been a disappointment if you've been desperate for a new laptop. Never fear, though, as other retailers and manufacturers have stepped up with some impressive offers as part of the 4th of July sales. I've taken a look and picked out over a dozen of my favorites from the likes of Best Buy, Dell, Walmart and HP. • See all early Prime Day deals at Amazon One of the best cheap options is this brand-new Dell 15 Laptop at Dell for $279.99 (was $399.99). It's a basic device but features some good entry-level components for the price, including a modern Intel Core 3 processor, 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD for storage – a rare sight for so cheap. If you need an affordable and capable device for everyday use, light work, video streaming, and general admin tasks, you can't go wrong. If you're able to spend a bit more, I'd also consider this HP OmniBook 5 Flip at Best Buy for $549.99 (was $799.99). Again, it's a well-built machine with an Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD for storage. It costs a premium as you also get the added flexibility of flipping the 14-inch touchscreen around into a tablet mode for even easier browsing and a better experience when watching videos. There are even more details and buying advice on all of these offers and the rest of the best laptop deals available now below. Be sure to stick with TechRadar over the next few days as we'll also have full coverage of this year's Amazon Prime Day sale featuring all of the top deals recommended by our team of tech and shopping experts. Best Buy: laptops from $119 Dell: up to $400 off new devices HP: up to 61% off Newegg: up to $500 gaming laptops Walmart: cheap laptops & MacBook Air Display - 14 inchesProcessor - Intel CeleronRAM - 4GBStorage - 64GB This Lenovo IdeaPad 3i Chromebook is a basic device, but it's cheap, making it a great buy for light use such as general browsing and schoolwork. It also boasts full-day battery life thanks to the lean but perfectly functional Chrome OS from Google, meaning it's best suited for students or those always on the move. If you have around $100 to spend and need a cheap laptop, then you won't find a better option right Deal Display - 15.6 inchesProcessor - Intel Core 3RAM - 8GBStorage - 512GB Dell has added a few extra laptop deals to its sale, including this cheap version of the new Dell 15. It's an excellent entry-level device for the price, with a modern Intel Core 3 processor, 8GB of RAM and a surprisingly large 512GB SSD. It's designed for light use and very basic tasks, but if all you need is a laptop to browse the web, answer a few emails, do a bit of life admin and maybe watch a video or two, this is up to the Deal Display - 15.6 inchesProcessor - AMD Ryzen 5RAM - 8GBStorage - 256GB One of the best cheap laptops in Best Buy's 4th of July sale is this Lenovo IdeaPad 1 with an AMD Ryzen 5 processor, 8GB of RAM and a reasonable 256GB SSD that all work together to ensure good overall performance and enough essential speedy storage for the price. Even though I've seen a similar spec for under $300 in the past, I still recommend it now if you're on a budget and need a laptop for general everyday use, admin tasks, light work, or Deal Display - 15.6 inchesProcessor - Intel i5RAM - 16GBStorage - 512GB This is one of the first price cuts I've seen on the newest Dell 15 Laptop – and it brings the powerful mid-range device down to a great low price. Inside, you'll find a capable Intel i5 processor, as well as 16GB of RAM and a roomy 512GB SSD. I don't always see these solid specs for this sort of price, so it's the laptop I'd go for if I needed a good day-to-day machine that also needs to be able to handle a bit of multitasking and more demanding Deal Display - 15.6 inchesProcessor - AMD Ryzen 7RAM - 16GBStorage - 512GB There's a big nearly $300 saving on this Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 at Best Buy. It has some older components, but with an AMD Ryzen 7, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, you have enough power and storage space for everyday jobs. It's a top buy right now if you have a reasonable budget and need a strong mid-range laptop for general use, admin tasks, light work, or Deal Display - 14 inchesProcessor - Intel Core 7RAM - 16GBStorage - 512GB There's a solid $250 saving on this powerful and versatile HP OmniBook 5 Flip right now at Best Buy. It offers impressive performance for the price, with powerful components such as a modern Intel Core 7 processor, a massive 16GB of RAM and a healthy 512GB SSD for storage. You can comfortably handle everyday tasks, most demanding work, video calls, media streaming and more with this laptop, all with the option to flip it around to a 14-inch touchscreen tablet when the need arises, Deal Display - 14 inchesProcessor - Intel Core 7RAM - 16GBStorage - 1TB This is a slightly older clearance offer but I think it's still one of the best value laptop deals in Dell's latest sale. The Dell Inpsiron 14 features a top-end Intel Core 7 processor, a healthy 16GB of RAM and a large 1TGB SSD for storage. With all of those components, you'll have no issues with multitasking and handling more demanding work and productivity tasks. And at 14 inches, it's a much more portable device, too. Altogether, it's an excellent value all-around Deal Display - 13 inchesProcessor - Apple M1RAM - 8GBStorage - 256GB It blows my mind that Walmart still has stock of the MacBook Air M1 after dropping it to a new lowest-ever price of $599 over Black Friday. It's slightly more expensive right now – and newer M2, M3 and M4 models are available – but this is still excellent value for money for a powerful all-around laptop. Our MacBook Air M1 review awarded the device 4.5 stars out of five, praising Apple's premium device for its speed, responsiveness, beautiful design and long-lasting battery Deal Display - 14 inchesProcessor - Intel Core Ultra 7RAM - 16GBStorage - 1TB There's a whopping $400 saving on this modern and powerful Dell 14 Plus. It boasts a modern Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a large 1TB SSD for storage. Those specs can easily handle the majority of day-to-day tasks, light work, video calls, streaming, multitasking, and Deal Display - 13.6 inchesProcessor - Apple M4RAM - 16GBStorage - 256GB One actually at Amazon now. The MacBook Air 13-inch (M4) is the newest version of Apple's popular laptop and it's now down to a great price at Best Buy. You get a great-looking 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display, while the boost to 16GB of RAM keeps all your programs running smoothly. It's just a shame Apple still insists on only 256GB of storage as standard, which feels a little miserly in 2025. Nevertheless, this is still one of the best laptops you can buy if you need a performance powerhouse for productivity and creative tasks – especially after this $150 discount. View Deal Display - 15 inchesProcessor - Apple M3RAM - 16GBStorage - 256GB It may essentially be just a larger version of the MacBook Air 13-inch, but if that's what you want, then that's what you get – and it's now reduced to its lowest-ever price at Best Buy. Our MacBook Air 15-inch review praised the display, performance, design and speaker array, although we did think the jump in size hurt one of the MacBook Air's key selling points – its portability. Nevertheless, this is still an impressive laptop that was awarded a full five Deal Anyone looking for a 2-in-1 laptop that doubles up as a tablet should seriously consider the Microsoft Surface Pro. It's flexible, versatile, and perfect for everyday use, work and all of your productivity needs. The bundle also includes the near-essential keyboard cover, which turns this tablet into an even more useful laptop. Getting all of this is a single package with a fancy Snapdragon processor, and lots of RAM and storage, is an excellent Deal Graphics card: GeForce RTX 5080Processor: Intel Core Ultra 7 255HXRAM: 16GB DDR5Storage: 512GB You can use the code LEVELUP20 at checkout to get an RTX 5080-equipped Omen Max gaming laptop for under $1,500 in the HP 4th of July sale. This particular listing is specific to the above configuration, so you'll have to use the provided configurator to tweak the components to get the lowest possible price. View Deal

CEO Michael Dell Cashes Out 10 Million Shares

July 4 - Last week, Michael Dell (Trades, Portfolio) (NYSE:DELL), CEO and founder of Dell Technologies, sold 10 million shares at $122.27 apiece for roughly $1.22 billion. Following the divestiture, Dell retains about 27.29 million shares in the company. Private equity firm Silver Lake Group meanwhile disposed of 10,681 Dell shares at $120.33 each, netting nearly $1.29 million. Silver Lake continues to hold just over one million Dell shares. Insider sales can prompt caution, yet they often reflect portfolio rebalancing rather than a signal on corporate health. In Dell's case, the CEO's sale may simply diversify personal holdings, not undermine confidence in future growth. The sale comes as Dell aims to accelerate investments in cloud and AI initiatives, areas that executives consider pivotal for long?term expansion. Investors will likely digest these disclosures ahead of Dell's upcoming earnings report and weigh them against broader trends in the technology sector. This article first appeared on GuruFocus.
