Summer is in full swing, and Peacock is turning up the heat with a packed slate of TV premieres and new movies. From steamy hookups to deadly tournaments, July's lineup is full of goodies you won't want to miss.
Leading the way is "Love Island USA," where the Casa Amor twist continues into July, keeping every islander on edge. With fresh bombshells, shifting loyalties, and shocking recouplings, there's plenty of love to go around ... but there'll also be some heartbreak and drama too, don't you worry.
Mystery fans can dive into "Poker Face," which is racing toward its season 2 finale. Charlie's lie-detecting skills have taken her across the country, but with danger closing in, the final stop might be her most dangerous yet.
And in "Twisted Metal" season 2, John and Quiet are thrown into Calypso's deadly demolition derby. With brutal new enemies and the return of John's vigilante sister, Dollface, there's bound to be chaos.
No matter your mood, Peacock's July drops are bringing the fire.
"Love Island" is far from over, and the heat is only rising. With a brand-new batch of bombshells turning heads, the villa split will stretch into July, giving islanders even more time to stray, sway and spark something new.
Expect bold moves, brutal recouplings, and enough drama to shake up every couple. No one's safe, and loyalty has never looked shakier. So if you're looking for more romantic drama, rest assured, it's coming to round out your summer slate of Peacock content.

"Poker Face" season 2 races toward its conclusion with a high-stakes finale. Charlie's (Natasha Lyonne) cross-country journey has led her through a string of strange crimes and shady characters, but her uncanny ability to spot a lie is about to be tested like never before.
As the season wraps, old threats resurface and the road ahead may hold more danger than answers. Typical for Charlie, though. So we're not worried (much).

After the chaos of last season, John (Anthony Mackie) and Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz) are thrown into the ultimate showdown: a no-rules tournament run by the elusive Calypso.
They'll face brutal enemies old and new, including the unhinged Sweet Tooth (Will Arnett). But the road ahead gets even more twisted when John comes face-to-face with someone from his past: his sister, now a masked psycho known as Dollface (Tiana Okoye).

‘Mafia' Creator Says He Doesn't Get Credit for ‘The Traitors'

The Traitors has some explaining to do. As anyone familiar with the Peacock reality show knows, Traitors is almost identical to the popular dinner game, Mafia. In fact, I would argue that Traitors is basically just a weeks-long Mafia game with celebrities. And yet, the creator of Mafia is claiming that the creatives behind The Traitors never reached out to him before launching the show. Dimma Davidoff created Mafia in the mid-80s. The game splits players are split into Villagers and Mafia, with the Villagers tasked with identifying the murderous Mafia and voting them out before the Mafia kills all the villagers—which sounds a lot like how Traitors separates contestants into Faithfuls (aka the Villagers) and Traitors (aka the Mafia). Dimma reportedly published official rules online in 1998 and holds a copyright for the game. And he's been asked for the rights before, including for a 2015 Russian film called Mafia that gave him full credit. According to Dimma, he tried reaching out to The Traitors through their website but never heard back. 'Of course, they know about the Mafia game. How can they not? If you do any kind of due diligence, you see that Mafia is my game, under copyright. My email is right there,' he told Vulture in a new interview. While he admits that game rights are 'complicated,' Dimma said, 'Game designers' work deserves recognition and reward.' In the past few years, Traitors has become a world-wide phenomenon, starting with the 2021 premiere of the Dutch show De Verraders. A UK version launched the following year, with Peacock's US version premiering soon after. Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Belgium also have their own versions of the show, and just last month, an Indian version debuted on Prime Video. And with the success of the franchise showing no signs of slowing, you can't blame Dimma for speaking out. Despite his lack of credit from the show, Dimma told Vulture that he did watch season 3 of The Traitors, adding that he was surprised to see Boston Rob booted so quickly. 'Watching Boston Rob being sniffed out while being so good reminded me of my own Mafia games for many years,' he said. 'The lesson of this season is: If you are too good, it's a disadvantage. But this makes it more interesting.'

Ashanti's Mom Wasn't a Fan of Nelly's Decision to Perform at Trump Inauguration: ‘This Is Very Emotional for Me'

Ashanti's mother and manager Tina Douglas wasn't happy about Nelly performing at Donald Trump's inauguration earlier this year. During a recent episode of the couple's reality series We Belong Together on Peacock, Ashanti broke the news to her mother that her husband was asked to perform. 'This is more about the opportunity of performing at the White House as opposed to performing for a particular candidate,' the singer told her mother. 'This is very emotional for me,' she said before explaining her father James Davis' efforts for integration. 'My dad was heavy into civil rights. He marched on Washington with Martin Luther King and he also marched to Selma. When he came back to Glen Cove, he started to integrate the systems: the school system, the fire department, the police department.' She then told her daughter that's it's OK for her to voice her displeasure after Ashanti said that 'ultimately' it was his decision. 'As your mom and your manager, it's my job to make sure you can voice your opinion on what you feel and what you know,' she said right before Nelly walked into the room to announce that he decided to do it. He told them that he hoped they weren't talking about Ashanti divorcing him and promised it wasn't going to be a big deal. Ashanti's mother did not agree with her son-in-law and told her daughter that it is 'a big deal' when he walked away. Nelly has tried to explain his choice to perform on a few occasions, most recently firing back at critics in the comments of a Shade Room post on Instagram. 'Some of y'all have a problem with [the situation] because the prosecutor who has probably locked up more Black men that we've helped woman of color with the white husband and white kids did not win the election,' he wrote. 'I did not campaign for anyone. I do not tell people who to vote for, I respect and love this country from top to bottom, good and bad.'
