Miley Cyrus Tried to Keep a ‘Happy Home' With Liam Hemsworth by Changing Her Image
'That's where I met Liam, who I would go on to marry and write a ton of—or, most of—my songs about,' Cyrus said, adding, 'Talk about catching strays,' in reference to how her songs have referred to their relationship in both positive and negative ways.
While talking about her 'Younger Now' era, Cyrus brought up her relationship to Hemsworth again and how she embraced 'innocence' in her image as a way to reconnect with him in her personal life.
'When me and Liam split up the first time with 'Bangerz' because I was this provocateur, like, highly sexualized,' she shared. 'For 'Younger Now', the reason I kind of played into this innocence was because I think it was a way to keep—a way to stay—by being younger now and a less sexualized woman publicly, and this was a way to keep a happy home.'
Cyrus and Hemsworth were off-and-on from 2010 to 2012, then got married in 2018. But they split up before finishing one year of marriage. Hemsworth went on to date model Gabriella Brooks, while Cyrus is currently seeing singer Maxx Morando.
During the podcast, Cyrus also briefly discussed her ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas, saying when they split up in 2009, she saw the singer as a 'dick' and 'asshole' who 'dumped' her.
'He's still catching strays,' she joked.
But she added that things were all good now, saying, 'I like Nick… I'm into him.. he's like married with children, we're all moving on. NILEY for life!'

Hailee Steinfeld Says She Started Following a Plant-Based Diet After ‘Stomach Sensitivities'
Hailee Steinfeld takes healthy eating very seriously. 'I'm not vegan, but I did follow a plant-based diet for a few years when I was having a lot of stomach sensitivities,' Steinfeld, 28, wrote in the Friday, July 18, issue of her 'Beau Society' newsletter. 'I met with a gastroenterologist and did one of those crazy panels, which showed my body was reactive to so many things I was eating.' She added, 'It's not that the foods were bad, but I think I was overdoing it. So I went plant-based, and it was wonderful. I actually realized that there are so many meals I eat — and love — that are 'vegan' and I wasn't even conscious of it.' While the Sinners star did not reveal why or when she stopped following the nutritional plan, she's been candid about adopting a healthy mindset about food. Celebrity Vegans and Vegetarians: Miley Cyrus, Milo Ventimiglia and More 'My relationship to food is rather simple. I eat when I'm hungry,' Steinfeld told Women's Health in 2022. 'I eat so that I can train, I don't train so that I can eat, and I feel I can perform to the best of my ability if I have that mindset.' Now, she is somewhat of an aspiring chef and noted on Friday that she recently made a cacio e pepe ravioli that she described as 'chef's kiss.' 'Making pasta is time-consuming, but dare I say, fairly easy,' she recalled. 'We made bruschetta too. Next up is this Alison Roman chicken and artichoke dinner [recipe].' Steinfeld also balances her diet with frequent workouts. Kristin Cavallari, Demi Lovato and More Celebs Share Their Diet and Workout Secrets With Us 'I've never left a workout or a gym session feeling anything other than great and happier,' the actress added to Women's Health. 'Just knowing what my body is capable of and being able to challenge myself…it does something for you mentally that not a lot of other things do.' At the time, Steinfeld revealed that she trains with her dad, who 'really sees [her] potential.' 'He believes in me and he pushes me and knows what I'm capable of,' Steinfeld stressed. 'It's all about finding your balance and understanding where you're coming from that day, and what it is you wanna achieve, and giving yourself grace and patience, and being kind to yourself.' Steinfeld's workout regimen also includes taking her two dogs, Martini and Brando, for walks outside. Steinfeld's pups even got a sweet shoutout in her Friday newsletter. 'I actually never planned on getting tiny dogs, but here we are! Martini and Brando would love a big dog,' she gushed, adding that she hopes to adopt another canine companion down the line. 'My brother has a golden retriever (Dwight!), and they spend a lot of time with him and get along great.'

Ed Sheeran Challenges Chris Hemsworth to Play Drums in Front of 70K People in ‘Limitless' Trailer
Ed Sheeran might make it look easy, but performing in front of 70,000 people is no easy task. Just ask Chris Hemsworth, who played drums alongside the British pop star despite having no prior experience at a concert in in Bucharest, Romania, last year. The unexpected cameo from the God of Thunder turned out to be part of Hemsworth's Limitless series with National Geographic, which finds him pursuing ways to strengthen his mind and body through extreme measures. And in a trailer for the show's new season — titled Limitless: Live Better Now — that dropped Thursday (July 17), fans get a preview of just how much time and effort it took for Hemsworth to get comfortable behind the drum set. The video then cuts to footage of Hemsworth hammering away at his kit, at one point admitting that he's 'struggling.' When Sheeran comes in to observe his progress, the Grammy winner says frankly, 'I think this actually might be the most difficult thing you do.' Indeed, learning to play drums is one of the trickiest tests of rhythm and coordination, but Hemsworth ultimately pulled it off. In more shots from the Limitless trailer, he greets the roaring crowd from the stage at National Arena in Bucharest and successfully keeps time while Sheeran performs his 2014 hit 'Thinking Out Loud.' With episodes premiering Aug. 15 on Disney+ and Hulu, Limitless: Live Better Now is a three-part series that will also find the Extraction star climbing a 600-foot wall in the Swiss Alps and going through Special Forces training in South Korea to uncover new possibilities for mental and physical wellness. As Hemsworth explains in the trailer, 'The key to unlocking these benefits for all of us is finding the edge of our comfort zone.' In addition to being one-time bandmates, Sheeran and Hemsworth are longtime friends. When the former was named one of TIME's most influential people of 2025, the latter paid tribute to his pal in a blurb for the magazine. 'Ed Sheeran has an almost supernatural ability to connect,' Hemsworth wrote at the time. 'His songs, his voice, his words — they belong to all of us. Whether you're at home with your headphones on, driving through the countryside or in a stadium packed with 70,000 people singing at the top of their lungs, his music feels personal.'
