Dylan Efron Is Ready for Girlfriend Courtney and Boston Rob's Wife Amber Mariano to Become Friends

Yahoo27-05-2025
Is it time to turn this bromance into double dates? As Dylan Efron and Boston Rob's friendship continues to bring joy to Traitors fans, Efron revealed he hasn't met fellow Survivor icon Amber Mariano — but is ready to make it happen.
'At this point, Amber and my girlfriend, Courtney, need to get their own trip,' Efron, 33, said with a laugh while speaking to Us Weekly at Wasa's Camp Crunch on Governors Island in New York City. 'We need to get them together 'cause they're getting pretty jealous of each other.'
As a Survivor fan, Efron was well aware of both Rob and Amber's love story and gameplay. He bonded with Rob in the castle on season 3 of The Traitors, and the twosome have been meeting up all over the country for events.
'It is pretty hilarious. My girlfriend was saying it the other day. She's just like, 'You have the weirdest life.' If you would've told me when I was watching Survivor, 'I'm gonna meet that guy and be friends,' she would've laughed,' Efron said. 'It's pretty cool.'
Dylan Efron Has 'No Issue' Being Known as Zac Efron's Brother: We 'Confuse Ourselves' on Family Phone Calls
Efron and Rob's latest outing? The premiere of the new Mission: Impossible movie earlier this month.
"I think the best part of Boston Rob is he doesn't act his age. He can go with the flow. We were just at this Tom Cruise premiere and everyone's, like, under 30, but he's there with us hanging out. Everyone loves him. He can kind of be a chameleon and blend into whatever setting he is in," Efron said. "If you've watched Survivor, he really is exactly what you think. And I think a lot of people, when you watch 'em on TV and you meet 'em in real life, they're different. So when you meet someone that's exactly what you think they are, it's refreshing."
While at that premiere, Dylan also had a chance to talk to Cruise, who he had met with brother Zac Efron a decade prior.
"I was like, 'I met you with my brother, like, 12 years ago at a pretty small dinner.' And he was like, 'Oh, my God. I remember. It was at the Chateau Marmont!'" Dylan recalled. "He remembered my brother and that's how he probably put it together, but it was pretty cool. He's the best for a reason. I worked at Warner Bros. and I was so impressed because he would show up through post-production — no actors do that. No actor is coming in once the movie wraps to make sure the movie's good, and he did that every day. He really cares about it."
Dylan Efron and Courtney King Relationship Timeline: From High School to the 'Next Chapter'
While Dylan had been working behind the scenes on films and with Zac on Netflix's Down to Earth With Zac Efron, he's become a star in front of the camera thanks to winning season 3 of The Traitors. For his next venture, Dylan is very open to the reality TV possibilities.
"I'm down. I just want something that's a good experience. That's why I've traveled as much as I have. I've always prioritized making experiences that I can look back on the rest of my life and a lot of these shows — like Special Forces, for example. I'm not in the military. I'm never gonna know what it's like. But if you do that for two weeks, it's gonna change your life. I am interested in other shows, just whatever it is, I want to learn a new skill and have a blast," he said.
When the idea of Dancing With the Stars came up, Dylan hinted it could be a possibility, saying, "I don't dance, so it would be one where I'm learning a new skill!"
In case you missed it, Dylan also made headlines last month for saving two women from drowning on the beach in Miami with Traitors costar Sam Asghari.

"It was pretty weird because when it ended, it was one of those things that no one was recording, no one knew it happened. So I didn't think anything was gonna come of it and I didn't expect anything of it. It was just like, I'm a decent swimmer and I saw people out there, so I helped. ... Everyone's like, 'What can't he do?' And I'm like, 'Guys, it wasn't that glamorous. people needed help. I swam,'" he told Us, adding that the beachgoers had "no idea" who Dylan or Asghari were."One woman was very shell-shocked, and I just stayed with her until she caught her breath."
Dylan is now used to having more eyes on him, which has also helped him find perfect opportunities for brand partnerships — like with Wasa.
'In the past, I couldn't be as selective, and now I get to be selective with who I'm working with. You can tell when it's organic — this is everything I love so it makes it much easier to speak on it,' he said, referring to the camp-style retreat, which included a Chopped-style challenge with Wasa Crispbreads (a snack that he eats often in his daily life).
"We had 10 people on our team with a list of ingredients," he explained. "Our first one was Wasa Crisp Creation Cinnamon, and we put cream cheese, strawberries, blueberries and coconut shreds on it. Second one was savory, so we did Wasa Crisp Creations Sesame & Sea Salt with cottage cheese, cucumber, bagel seasoning and dill, like, our take on a New York bagel."
Dylan also recorded an ASMR playlist for the brand. "I'm into it now. I wasn't sure — it was my first time doing ASMR, but it turned out so good with the cracks and the crackles of the cracker,' he said. 'Once it was all put together, it was pretty incredible."
Fans can listen to Dylan's ad here and buy their own Wasa Crispbreads for their snacking needs now.

Sterling K. Brown Reflects on Getting to Help Bring ‘Paradise' and ‘Washington Black' to Life

Sterling K. Brown is using his prolific career to help support new TV shows — including Paradise and Washington Black. "Everything happens in divine timing — exactly when it's supposed to. It may not be exactly what you are hoping for but it's always exactly what it's supposed to be," Brown, 49, noted during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly about Washington Black's release on Hulu. Brown, who plays Medwin, said he was "tremendously proud" of his latest role. "It's a beautiful story. It is told beautifully and shot beautifully. We got a chance to shoot in Iceland and in Nova Scotia and in Mexico. We got a chance to take this very melanated cast across the globe," he gushed. "And to see something with that level of expanse that has us centered [in it] gives me a tremendous amount of pride." What to Know About Sterling K. Brown's 'Washington Black': From Cast Details to Book Connections While reflecting on his recent projects, Brown acknowledged his work behind and in front of the camera, adding, "By virtue of me being an executive producer, if that helped get the story get told then I hope to help get more stories like that told." Brown has remained booked and busy since wrapping up his time on NBC's This Is Us. His most recent show, Washington Black, offered Brown a chance to partner with Selwyn Seyfu Hinds to produce a TV adaptation of Esi Edugyan's novel of the same name. The 2019 book follows George Washington Black (Eddie Karanja and Ernest Kingsley Jr.) through past and present timelines as he is raised under the shadow of slavery before catching the attention of the sugar plantation owner's brother. A young Washington is recruited to help the owner's brother, leading to an adventure around the world. Washington in present day goes by Wash and lives in Nova Scotia, where he is taken under the wing of town leader Medwin Harris (Brown). "Medwin is a small mention in the book. We definitely extrapolate it just so I could have something to do," Brown told Us of his character. "But it's interesting to see the difference in mentorship that Wash has throughout his life and him moving to place of, 'Oh, I don't need a mentor. Anything that I thought that I needed from someone else I actually have with myself.' Then it moves from mentorship to partnership. So I like to see how Medwin functions in that way and his ultimate evolution of Wash." While Washington Black was just released on Wednesday, July 23, it was in the works for some time. It was even filmed before Brown's other hit Hulu series Paradise, which reunited him with This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman. The political thriller, which premiered in January, received critical acclaim and was renewed one month later. Washington Black gave Brown a chance to elevate the stories he wants to see released. It also provided the opportunity for him to mentor several of the show's stars, who couldn't help but sing Brown's praises. Summer TV Preview 2025: Inside Must-Watch New and Returning Shows From 'The Bear' to 'Love Island USA' "First of all, I feel like I kind of dragged Sterling into being a mentor. I just kind of asked him so many questions, like, 'Hey man, how are you doing? It's 1:00 a.m. but I need your help,'" Kingsley Jr., who plays adult Wash, joked to Us. "It was natural, to be honest. It was naturally built." Kingsley Jr. pointed out how Brown "operates with vulnerability in such a powerful way," adding, "Sterling operates with a sense of power, and he encourages and incites it in you. It is this sense of, if you open up to that [kind of vulnerability yourself] then it will be held and cared for and loved. I feel like he spread that out across multiple cast members and across the crew." He continued: "Just his presence was a mentorship and getting to see him every day. It was a blessing and a gift to have him on set. Also, just to have him in my life. Now he can't get rid of me." Brown, meanwhile, attempted to play off the praise, quipping, "I paid them all. That's really the bottom line of the whole thing. I walked their dogs when they needed me to. I do special favors so they say nice things about him." Washington Black is currently streaming on Hulu. Rock legend's daughter battling cancer says immunotherapy is making her ‘sicker'

Teddi Mellencamp says her treatment for her stage 4 brain cancer is making her 'sicker.' Mellencamp, daughter of rock legend John Mellencamp and 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' alum, has revealed the toll her immunotherapy treatments have taken on her. 'Essentially, what we figured out with me was, yes, I started out feeling great, and I could do all the pods and I could do all these things, and I could go to all my daughter's horse shows and I could stay at my house by myself, and I felt really strong,' Mellencamp said on the Wednesday, July 23, episode of her and Tamra Judge's 'Two Ts in a Pod' podcast. 'What's happening with me is the longer that I'm on immunotherapy, the sicker it's making me,' she explained. 'I'm on steroids and we're doing everything that we can to get me back to feeling like I, you know, I can do this, I can do all the things.' In a clip posted to Instagram Wednesday, Mellencamp said she 'cannot control exactly how I feel on each given day,' adding that she wants to take advantage of the days she's feeling 'really good.' The 44-year-old mother of three also expressed her commitment to keeping the podcast on schedule and 'would rather have somebody step in' when she's unable to. 'We're really working with a team of people to try and get me as healthy as possible,' Mellencamp said in the clip. She said in another Instagram post on Feb. 26 that she had four tumors removed, but revealed in March that she had more tumors than doctors originally thought. 'I have multiple tumors in my brain that weren't able to be removed via surgery,' Mellencamp wrote in an Instagram post on March 6. 'I also have two tumors in my lungs. These are all metastases of my melanoma,' she added. 'The doctors are hopeful that immunotherapy will effectively treat them. I am feeling positive — that I will win this battle." She told Us Weekly that the cancer had spread and doctors found four new tumors. 'I'm fighting for my life, but also for my family's life and all the people I love,' Mellencamp told the outlet, adding that her doctors believe she 'will be healed if everything stays on course.' In an Instagram video that she posted on April 23, Mellencamp said that all her tumors had either 'shrunk or disappeared.' 'I just finished with all of my scans and my tumors have significantly shrunk, which doctors believe means that this all will work, and that I will be back to myself and feeling good,' Mellencamp said. 'I'm going to keep a positive outlook because that's the way my doctor just spoke to me.' She shared on Instagram in March 2022 after the cancerous mole was removed. 'This is a reminder to please go get your yearly skin checks,' she wrote at the time. 'I am doing my best to stay present and positive as I head to TV today. Grateful that I am busy to keep my mind from racing as I await the results.' Mellencamp was on 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' from 2017 to January 2024. She has three children with her ex-husband, Edwin Arroyave, the CEO of a security company. She also has a stepdaughter, Isabella Arroyave. The couple separated in October 2024 after 13 years of marriage, Us Weekly reported at the time. Mellencamp also asked her father if the family's mausoleum would have space for her children. Todd & Julie Chrisley's Relationship Timeline: From Reality TV to Prison

The world got to know Todd and Julie Chrisley when they welcomed viewers into their life and home on their hit reality show Chrisley Knows Best. The series showcased their eccentric family and day-to-day life, and for years, viewers were entertained by the antics that took place in their household. However, things took a turn for this reality television duo when in 2022, both Todd and Julie were sentenced to 12 and 7 years, respectively, in prison for fraud. While the world assumed it would be quite some time until the Chrisleys saw freedom, the duo got the shock of a lifetime when they learned they had been pardoned by President Trump. Reunited after years apart, the duo shared that seeing each other after all that time, it was as if no time had passed. Here, a look at the relationship and marriage of Todd and Julie Chrisley. How Todd and Julie Chrisley met It was in 1996 that the Chrisley couple tied the knot, but before that, Todd was actually married to his high school sweetheart. Todd was first captivated by Julie when he saw her at a friend's house. 'The moment she walked in the room, it's the only time before and since that anything had ever taken my breath, other than when I walked past a mirror,' the television personality joked to Us Weekly back in 2022. Tying the knot in 1996, it wasn't long before they expanded their family, Todd already having two children, Lindsie and Kyle, from his previous marriage. Inside the Chrisley family tree After getting married, Todd and Julie welcomed three children: Chase, Savannah and Grayson. Additionally, they've adopted their granddaughter, Chloe, after her dad Kyle's struggle with substance abuse. After Todd and Julie began their sentences, it was ultimately their daughter Savannah who most significantly contributed to their release. During the time in which they were incarcerated, the 27-year-old influencer advocated for her parents to politicians and the public, and in the end, it was what led to their pardon. Life after prison: Todd and Julie reunited On June 28 and 29, Todd and Julie, accompanied by their children Savannah and Grayson, gave their first interviews since their release, detailing their plans for the future, what their experiences behind bars were like, and what it was like reuniting after so much time apart. 'I was never away from her because she was in my spirit the entire time,' Todd shared on My View With Lara Trump. 'I thought of her every second of my day. So, when I hugged her the first time, it was like I was home. It was not like I had been missing. I knew I was coming home to the same woman that I left. Now, when I say the same, I'm talking about in my heart spiritually.' As for the couple's future, Todd revealed on an ABC News Studio Special that they have plans of relocating to South Carolina in the hopes of acquiring a mansion and converting it to a hotel. Additionally, the family was confirmed to be at the center of a new reality show. Looking for more entertainment stories? Click through below!
