Anneliese van der Pol from That's so Raven is having a baby girl with her husband Johnno Wilson, says 'she will be a feminist'
van der Pol from That's So Raven is expecting a baby with her husband, Johnno Wilson. The couple, who've starred alongside each other on the Disney Channel sitcom, confirmed their transition into parenthood when speaking to People Magazine.
The couple have had this child relatively late in their lives, with both
Anneliese
and Johnno being 40 years old as of the announcement.
Their baby is due this October and is a girl.
Speaking of her pregnancy,
Anneliese
had this to say:
"Of course, you just want a healthy child, and a boy would've been exciting too, but there's something about a girl in this time that I'm just so proud of. I don't want her to be a performer or care if she's a doctor...but she WILL be a feminist."
Anneliese
and Johnno weren't always sure about starting a family
Anneliese
van der Pol and Johnno Wilson have been frank about the fact that they weren't always sure about whether or not to start a family of their own. Earlier in their marriage, they considered themselves a couple that would go childfree.
As Johnno put it, back when they first met at 34, their main priorities were career and travel. However, the passage of time ended up reorienting their priorities, and now the couple seem fully prepared to step into parenthood.
The two planned to consult with their family doctor and conceive the baby through in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, when
Anneliese
checked for her period, everything changed. As she put it:
"Literally the day before we were meant to meet our IVF [in vitro fertilization] doctor, I realized I was late. So I took a test, saw two lines, and canceled our appointment. I put the pregnancy stick on Johnno's pillow and watched him figure it out when he came in to bring me my morning coffee.'
Anneliese
says her pregnancy has gone well so far
Anneliese
and Johno have stated that her pregnancy so far has been peaceful and trouble-free. Johno revealed that a lot of the couple's friends and loved ones have already had kids, so they were 'prepared for anything', but things have overall been 'wonderful'.
That doesn't mean there haven't been any changes to her life, as
Anneliese
fondly recalled the cravings she developed, or the 'quickening' she felt when the baby within her began moving around 17 to 20 weeks in.
The couple have credited Babylist for being an incredibly useful website for consolidating all the information they needed for managing the pregnancy and raising the baby after birth.

Not Hrithik Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan, this Bollywood actor was 'World's most handsome man', ranked 7th globally, his name is...
While fan debates about Bollywood's most handsome actor often swing between Hrithik Roshan's sculpted looks, Shah Rukh Khan's charm, and even vintage heroes like Dev Anand, history holds a different verdict altogether. A recently resurfaced Reddit post has reignited this age-old conversation, pointing out that only two Bollywood stars have been declared the 'Most Handsome Man in the World' in a more formal context. According to a now-viral Reddit thread referencing a tweet from History TV , veteran actor Dharmendra was awarded the title of 'World's Most Handsome Man' in the mid-1970s. At the peak of his career, with rugged good looks and a towering screen presence, Dharmendra was not just a desi heartthrob, but a global one. Back in the '70s, when magazine covers and online polls defined celebrity appeal, Dharmendra's masculine grace and good looks were considered unmatched, and that made him earn the tag of this, long before the internet existed. Then came this actor in the 2000s Fast-forward a few decades, and Salman Khan, known for his brawny physique and blockbuster charm, reportedly earned the same tag in the early 2000s. Those who know and follow Salman Khan would know that, in 2004, People Magazine ranked him 7th in their global list of the world's most handsome men. Though unofficial, the recognition reflected Salman's surging global popularity and immense fan base. Further making his mark stronger better and massive, Salman's wax statue were also made at Madame Tussauds in London (2008) and New York (2012), placing him among a select few Indian actors honoured on an international stage. People are still going gaga over Salman Khan Even at the age of 59, Bollywood's Bhaijaan remains one of the industry's most bankable and beloved stars. Whether it's his enduring appeal in cinema or his philanthropic work, his stature as a superstar isn't just skin-deep. And while titles like 'Most Handsome Man in the World' may not carry official weight, they certainly carry legacy.
