Anita Vaughan Reflects On Will Ospreay's Pedigree on ‘Triple H' Going Viral

Yahoo29-05-2025
Once upon a time in the Multiverse Rumble, Will Ospreay nailed Triple H Anita Vaughan with the Pedigree. Luckily, Vaughan has lived to tell the tale with WrestleZone.
On February 7, Pro-Wrestling EVE hosted its Multiverse Rumble event from London, England, with over a dozen competitors in the rumble match. For this particular bout, competitors dressed up as and paid homage to figures in both wrestling and pop culture. In Vaughan's case, she parodied WWE Hall of Famer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque, fake beard and all. This decision later came back to haunt Vaughan, however, as EVE producer and AEW star Will Ospreay flipped the bird and laid her out with a Pedigree, Triple H's iconic finishing move.

Clips of this scene have since gone viral across social media, revealing that Ospreay suffered instant karma by being eliminated by Rayne Leverkusen, dressed as Shane McMahon, right after.
'That spot was a lot of fun,' Vaughan told WrestleZone. 'The Multiverse Rumble is just that, it's just meant to be fun. Will obviously helps producing the shows and he plays such a big part. It's unbelievable to have someone like Will Ospreay backstage and helping out and everything he does with Eve as well, how he platforms it, how he supports it. Of course, he gets to be a part of the product as well in sometimes the most fun ways I've ever been involved in wrestling.'
Vaughan Explains Pedigree Backstory
How did this spot come together? According to Vaughan, who now reigns as the EVE International Champion, they planted the seeds for it a while ago.

'Before [my tag partner] Debbie Keitel went to Japan, I remember we had [an idea of] like 'Oh maybe we can do DX or something.' She could be Shawn Michaels. I could be Triple H. I was like 'That would be really sick.' Then I just couldn't get it out of my head that I could be Triple H. I've done jokes and stuff with people backstage where like I'm Triple H. We'll do like the water take and stuff. It almost was a private joke coming into real life in the ring. Then you just add the layer of Will Ospreay hitting Triple H a pedigree. It was really sick.
'I've never hit so many Triple H moves in my life in that time,' Vaughan added. 'I found out I can do a decent spine buster, so now it's part of my moveset. I hit many a pedigree and I took my first ever pedigree from Will Ospreay, so that's a part of history now. '

Ryback Defends CM Punk After He Apologized And Competed In Saudi Arabia

Ryback coming to CM Punk's defense in 2025 probably wasn't on many wrestling fans' bingo cards this year. WWE Superstar CM Punk has come under fire from critics and fans following his appearance in Saudi Arabia this week, where he apologized for a six-year-old tweet and competed against John Cena in the main event of Night of Champions. Surprisingly, one of Punk's biggest detractors of the last decade, former WWE Superstar Ryback, has come to his defense today on social media in response to an opinion piece, tweeting out: 'I've had my issues with Punk, but I don't see him as a sellout. He returned to do what he loves and to make money — much like you're doing by writing critical think pieces about others for clicks. WWE is a global business, and working at that level means navigating complex deals, personal beliefs, and public perception. His apology wasn't about abandoning values — it was about how he expressed them publicly in ways that hurt professional relationships,' Ryback said in a post. Seth Rollins Provides Update On Knee Injury, How Long He'll Be Out

Seth Rollins continues to see the silver lining in certain situations. Rollins hurt his knee at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event last weekend. His match against LA Knight went to an improvised finish after doctors checked on him. During the Evolution post-show press conference, Triple H spoke about Seth Rollins' current condition. He said Rollins traveled to WWE Evolution to support his wife, Becky Lynch, and would be in Birmingham the next day to undergo an MRI for his injury. However, Seth Rollins says he couldn't have the MRI during a guest-hosting gig on Tuesday's episode of The Rich Eisen Show. Rollins said that despite traveling to Birmingham on Monday, he didn't undergo the MRI because his knee was too swollen to determine the cause of the issue. Seth Rollins expects to be out of action for a while Despite that, Rollins knows how the injury happened. He explained that when he attempted a moonsault, he felt his knee 'pop and buckle' on the landing. Rollins said he is still scheduled to undergo more screenings soon in Los Angeles. While he doesn't have a firm timeline, he expects he will be 'out for an extended period of time.' 'It was a little too swollen, so hopefully we're going to take another look in a week or two here in LA to try and get some sort of firm diagnosis and then we can go from there. I am not a doctor, I only know my body and what I feel. And what I feel is this is going to be me out for an extended period of time.' Despite missing time, Rollins said that the silver lining of the situation is that he gets to spend more time at home with his daughter, Roux, while he recovers from the knee injury. He also hopes he makes it back for WrestleMania, but he won't have any answers until they take another look at his knee. Seth Rollins' knee injury had a domino effect on Saturday Night's Main Event Seth Rollins' knee injury resulted in a few changes in WWE's plans at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event. Report: WWE Grooming Three Talents To Be Their Future Headliners

WWE already knows who they want their headliners to be at some point in the future. The passing of the torch is something that's been a focal point of professional wrestling for the last several decades. As popular as WWE is right now, they understand people like Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and Becky Lynch can't be on top forever. Eventually, these names will move on from the company and will be seen on a much more limited basis. If you want to get technical, it feels like Reigns is already in that transition period. Luckily, WWE is planning for the future and is already in the process of grooming who they want to be their future headliners of the company. According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the company is currently grooming Bron Breakker, Jacob Fatu, and Rhea Ripley to interact with the company's current headliners with the idea that they will eventually be in those positions themselves. Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available. READ MORE: TKO Makes Major Change To WWE Severance Packages, Hurts Company Morale What do you make of this report?
