
Block-level control rooms for higher education guidance to come up in Krishnagiri
The control room envisions guidance to ensure cent percent college enrolment in higher education, provide guidance, eliminate bottlenecks and facilitate documentation among others.
According to Collector C. Dinesh Kumar, these control rooms will guide students to select technical courses, selection of streams, and also to help procure the requisite documents including transfer certificates, community certificates, address proof, first-generation graduate proof, and income certificate.
A district-level control room to provide higher education guidance under the Naan Mudhalvan programme is already functioning on the ground floor of the Collectorate and reachable on 9788858719/ 9788858720.
The soon to be set up control rooms will function out of the Integrated School Education Block Resource Centre in each block and designated coordinators for each block have been assigned. Free PSC coaching programme launched in Coimbatore
COIMBATORE: A free coaching programme for the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission examinations commenced at the community hall at Ukkadam Periyakulam on Wednesday. It was inaugurated on Wednesday by the Coimbatore District Collector Pavankumar G Giriyappanavar in the presence of Coimbatore MP Dr Ganapathi P Rajkumar, Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabakaran and CCMC Mayor Ranganayaki. The CCMC launched the programme in collaboration with the district administration. Speaking at the event, the district collector highlighted the efforts of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister in promoting youth development through schemes such as Puthumai Penn, Thamizh Pudhalvan, and Naan Mudhalvan. He said the newly launched free coaching programme reflects the same commitment to empowering youth and job aspirants. The programme will provide structured coaching for TNPSC Group 2 and Group 4 exams, guided by expert faculty. It will include access to updated study materials, well-designed classes, and mentorship sessions. Classes will be held full day at the community hall. Ignite Cell inaugurated
Vijayawada: As part of the Swarnandhra @ 2047 Vision Plan, the Ignite Cell was inaugurated on Tuesday at the Collectorate premises by Joint Collector S Ilakkiya. This initiative falls under the purview of the District Women and Child Welfare Department. During the event, officials detailed the various services being provided through Anganwadi Centres. They elaborated on programmes such as pre-school education, Baal Alert, Baal Sanjeevani Kit, growth monitoring, provision of eggs and milk, take home ration (THR), and Poshan Vatika. Furthermore, explanations were provided regarding the services offered by the One Stop Centre, adoption procedures, the Child Helpline number, and the programmes conducted by the District Child Protection Unit. CDPOs Bhanumathi and Jyothsna, DCPO M Rajeshwara Rao, Durga Bhavani, Johnson, Kiran Kumar, and other officials were present.
