Portraits of PM, CM mandatory at Delhi's Arogya Mandirs
NEW DELHI: In a first, doctors' rooms at Delhi's Ayushman Arogya Mandirs will now mandatorily display portraits of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister. A directive from the Delhi State Health Mission instructed medical officers to ensure these are placed in all newly inaugurated Arogya Mandirs.
'As you are aware that 33 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs has been operational across the capital. Further, I am directed to convey that a portrait containing picture of Prime Minister and Chief Minister, Govt. of NCT of Delhi may be ensured in the room of Medical Officer I/c at each Ayushman Arogya Mandirs. This may be treated as compulsory as per direction of the Mission Director, DSHM,' a directive circulated to all CDMO read.
Launched on June 17, CM termed the rollout a 'decisive break' from the old model and announced plans for 1,100 centres by March 2026.

Now, digital prescriptions at Lucknow's urban PHCs
Jun 28, 2025 05:06 AM IST Understanding names of medicines on prescriptions from doctors at 48 government urban primary health centres (UPHCs) in Lucknow will no longer be a trouble as a digital format has been introduced by the health department in the state capital. Lucknow's chief medical officer Dr NB Singh got the facility introduced. (For Representation) 'The prescription will be linked with the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID of the patient and the digital slip can be printed too, where names of medicines will be visibly clear,' said Lucknow's chief medical officer Dr NB Singh who got the facility introduced. At times, it was troublesome for chemists and patients alike to read handwritten prescriptions. The initiative will not only make it easier for patients to access medicines but will also ensure that their medical records are safely stored. The facility will soon be extended to the remaining 6 UPHCs. Additionally, 108 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs) in urban areas will also adopt this facility. This in particular will be beneficial if the patient needs their medical record in future for treatment. Dr Singh said the digital prescriptions will be received in printed form and hence eliminating the need to decipher handwritten notes. He said these prescriptions will be stored in patients' ABHA IDs, allowing doctors to access their medical history. Moreover, the patients will no longer need to worry about losing their prescription papers.

Induction Training Highlights Role of MLHPs in Strengthening Rural Health Services
Gadwal: A one-day MLHP Induction Training and Review Meeting commenced today at 10:30 AM at the IDOC office in Jogulamba Gadwal district. The event marked an important step in strengthening the functioning of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs through the active involvement and training of Mid-Level Health Providers (MLHPs). The meeting was inaugurated and led by the District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO), Dr. SK Siddappa, who was joined by key program officers including Dr. J. Sandhya Kiranmai, Dr. Prasoonarani, Dr. G. Raju, and Dr. Rizwana Tanveer. In his address, Dr. SK Siddappa emphasized the importance of punctuality and discipline among MLHP staff stationed at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs. He urged all MLHP personnel to strictly adhere to their duty timings and actively oversee the implementation of various health programs at the grassroots level. Furthermore, he instructed MLHPs to: Visit villages in the afternoon for supervision and community health outreach. Ensure daily OP (Outpatient) services and health activities are properly conducted. Upload all activities, including health camps and daily reports, to the Ayushman Arogya Mandir portal for transparent and timely monitoring. The review meeting witnessed participation from: Medical Officers, MLHP staff from all 67 health centers in the district, Where MLHPs were absent, respective ANMs (Auxiliary Nurse Midwives) attended on their behalf, And other district health department officials. This initiative aims to strengthen primary healthcare delivery, ensure efficient implementation of health schemes, and enhance accountability among frontline health staff in Jogulamba Gadwal district.
