The Last of Us season 2 episode 6 ending explained: Did Ellie forgive Joel? The scene that broke everyone's heart
#TheLastOfUsSeason2 Episode 6 is a perfect episode. Had me crying by the end. Seeing Joel again after what happened earlier was a bittersweet feeling. The writing & directing here was phenomenal & the performances from Ramsay & Pascal were incredible. #TheLastofUs pic.twitter.com/YmRVQPrsOX
The Last of Us Season 2 episode 6 ending explained
Remember after Joel's death, Ellie was kept in a hospital to recover? That's where Gale came in to ask her a series of questions about her well-being. She also asked if the last time Ellie spoke to Joel was at the New Year's party, and Ellie said yes but she lied.
At the end of The Last of Us Season 2, Episode 6, we learn that after Joel pushed Seth and returned home, Ellie saw him sitting on the porch and decided to start a conversation with him.
Long story short, Ellie had been angry at Joel because after Eugene was bitten, Joel didn't let him see his wife, Gale, even though he had time before fully transforming. Joel had promised Ellie that he wouldn't kill Eugene right away, but he did and to Ellie, that felt like a betrayal. After confronting Joel about this, Ellie asked him about what really happened at the hospital and whether he killed the people who could have created a cure. Joel admitted that he did, because otherwise, she would have died.
When Ellie got angry, Joel told her that he would do it all over again if he had to because he would do anything to save her. Ellie thinks Joel is selfish, but to Joel, Ellie is nothing less than a daughter. He acted out of love.

India tour of England: India vs England fifth Test at the Oval, in London August 4, 2025. Mohammed Siraj comments
The word impossible is not a part of Mohammed Siraj's dictionary as he always believed that he can win the final Test for India from any point as he pulled off one of the biggest heists in the traditional format in recent times. "I woke up in the morning and checked google on my phone and took out a 'Believe' emoji wallpaper and told myself that I will do it for the country." Without Jasprit Bumrah, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Telangana Police bowled 185.3 overs to take 23 wickets, and it couldn't have been more fitting that he earned India a win for posterity. "I always believe that I can win the game from any point, and did that to the morning," Siraj told Dinesh Karthik in a post match chat for Jio Hotstar. Having consistently troubled the English batters, Siraj finished with 5 for 104 in 30.1 overs and a match haul of nine wickets. "My only plan was to bowl good areas. Didn't matter if I took wickets or went for runs," Siraj said. His feet touched the boundary rope while trying to catch Harry Brook when the batter was on 19. Brook scored a smashing ton and it looked like the match slipping from India's grasp. "I didn't think I'd touch the cushion when I took it. It was a match-changing moment. Brook got into T20 moment. We were behind the game after that but Thank God. I thought the match was gone," Siraj said.
