Unfortunately, Asuka has been missing from WWE television since she suffered a knee injury in May 2024, which forced her to drop out of the Queen of the Ring tournament.

Needless to say, fans have been chomping at the bit for The Empress of Tomorrow to come back, especially after her fellow Kabuki Warrior, Kairi Sane, recently returned from injury.
Now, there has been an update regarding Asuka's return. And fans will be disappointed.

Alex BierensAccording to a report from Fightful Select, Asuka is still sidelined and won't be making her in-ring return anytime soon.
Additionally, it was expected that Asuka would be out up until WrestleMania 41 and had no creative plans for her. That being said, there have been discussions regarding her creative plans in recent months, although that doesn't mean she will be returning soon.

While Asuka is most recognized today for her time in WWE today, she was a prominent figure on the independent scene, particularly in Japan. She appeared in well-known promotions like Pro Wrestling Wave, Smash, DDT Pro-Wrestling, All Japan Pro Wrestling, and Reina Joshi Puroresu.
In 2015, Asuka made her debut in WWE NXT, becoming the second Japanese woman signed to WWE since Bull Nakano. She would quickly win the NXT Women's Championship before moving to the main roster.
On the main roster, Asuka went on an undefeated run that included the 2018 Women's Royal Rumble. The streak eventually ended at 914 days when she faced Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34.

Since then, Asuka continued to be one of the top-performing wrestlers in WWE, quickly establishing herself as one of the best female wrestlers in the history of the company if not the world.
Asuka would go on to further establish her greatness as a member of the Kabuki Warriors with Kairi Sane and Damage CTRL with Bayley, Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky, and Sane.
In WWE, Asuka has taken home the WWE Women's Championship three times, the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship, the NXT Women's Championship, and the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship four times with Kairi Sane (twice), Charlotte Flair (once), and Alexa Bliss (once).

WWE Superstar Becky Lynch Is Set To Introduce New Entrance Music

Entrance music is huge in the WWE universe. Don't believe me? Take a listen to the crowd when Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, CM Punk, or Seth Rollins are on their way to the ring. The crowd erupts and sings along like they are at their favorite artist's concert and they just started performing their favorite song. This is especially the case for the more established Superstars. They don't come much bigger and more established than Becky Lynch. And yes, The Man is reportedly getting new entrance music soon. According to Fightful Select, Lynch will debut new entrance music soon—and it's not just a random update. The new theme is a collaboration with pop-punk band The Wonder Years, something Lynch herself teased on Instagram earlier in the day. The track will replace her long-time walkout 'Celtic Invasion,' a song that's followed her through some of her biggest WWE moments. It's a major switch and comes just as she's building momentum as WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion. Her next title defense is locked in for SummerSlam Night Two, where she'll face Lyra Valkyria. And if she wins, Valkyria won't be able to challenge for the title again as long as Lynch holds it. High stakes. New sound. Same Man energy. 'Celtic Invasion' has become one of the most iconic entrance themes in recent WWE history. When it drops, Lynch's fans explode. However, it is a theme that has always seemed best suited for a babyface. As Lynch appears to be embracing her heel persona, it could be time for a change to a song that fits her new vibe. Fans will be watching and listening closely during SummerSlam Night 2 to hear Lynch's new music. If it's too good, it might be even harder for fans to dislike The Man. Jelly Roll gives credit to WWE stars ahead of SummerSlam: 'That wrestling-is-fake stuff gotta go out the door'

Country music star Jelly Roll is set for a tag-team match at SummerSlam with WWE star Randy Orton against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul this weekend. Jelly Roll appeared at WrestleMania 41 back in April, and as of late he was mixing it up in the ring as he tried to save Orton from McIntyre and Paul's assaults. The 6-foot-1 music star also took a dropkick to the face from McIntyre at Saturday Night's Main Event. On the penultimate "Friday Night SmackDown" before SummerSlam, Jelly Roll delivered a Black Hole Slam to Paul. It was one of the last licks to get in before his match. Make no mistake, Jelly Roll said, pro wrestling is as real as it gets. "These men and women put their bodies through hell … I really understand it now that I went in there. . . . Listen man, that wrestling-is-fake stuff gotta go out the door," he said Friday on ESPN's "Get Up." "There's no fake way to land on a piece of plywood in-front of 60,000 people. There's no fake way to go over a cable rope. "I broke my pinkie week one of training by accident. It's a constant collision." Jelly Roll added that he wouldn't have had "any courage" to perform at SummerSlam if he didn't have Orton in his corner. Orton also gave Jelly Roll massive praise for how he's handled the increased spotlight in the last few weeks. "I think it's pretty much common knowledge that Jelly Roll is an amazing human being. He makes time for everybody no matter who you are. He met my wife while he was hosting the 'Jimmy Kimmel Show' a few weeks ago," Orton said. "He was doing rehearsal, he was being pulled every which way, everyone needed a piece of Jelly Roll for rehearsal, but he made five minutes of time to meet my wife and gave her his time. "He's just an amazing human being and he's working as hard as anyone if not harder as anyone who's come into our world." SummerSlam is set for Saturday and Sunday night at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

Dog Can't Hide Her Suspicion Visiting Stranger's House for the First Time

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The day owners bring home their new pet is filled with nothing but excitement and joy, from everyone involved, but one dog showed how skeptical the animals might be of strangers. Reddit user ChrisCrashOut shared on the subreddit channel r/dogpictures earlier this week how his relationship with his new pup started a bit rocky. From the moment he brought her into the car and began the drive home, she showed her skepticism. In the picture, the tiny dog sat on his lap. She first looked up at him with big, round eyes that seemed hopeful for what this new adventure would bring. However, red flags began to rise; who was this human? Squinting her eyes, she looked into his soul, trying to get a read on what his intentions were with her. Little did she know, his only plan was to bring her into her forever home. The owner didn't seem to mind the dog's reservations. He called it a "fair reaction" in the caption because, well, she didn't know him, realizing the potential stranger danger. Plus, she was going to an unfamiliar home. Screenshots from a July 27 Reddit post of a dog sitting in her new owner's lap, giving him a side eye because he's a stranger. Screenshots from a July 27 Reddit post of a dog sitting in her new owner's lap, giving him a side eye because he's a stranger. ChrisCrashOut/Reddit Her hesitations continued once they arrived home, as she was greeted by unfamiliar dogs in an unfamiliar environment and unfamiliar smells. The entire day became overwhelming. "My other two dogs were very excited to meet her, but she was tired and slept all day," he told Newsweek via Reddit. But after a good night's rest, she knew there was nothing to worry about while being with this so-called stranger. It finally clicked for her: she was home. "By the next day, she was already playing/bullying my other two grown dogs and felt integrated into her new family," he said. What Do the Comments Say? The Reddit post quickly melted viewers' hearts, bringing in 643 upvotes and 17 comments as of Friday. They fell in love with her suspicious reaction and kept calling her adorable. "Bless her little face. I hope she settles fast and you have a peaceful night," commented one person. Another jokingly wrote what the dog was likely thinking: "I mean, you seem nice, but we'll see what kinds of foods and such await. A third said: "How dare you! Unacceptable!"
