Commitment to growth of Telangana goes beyond political power: KTR

BRS working president and former minister K.T. Rama Rao has asserted that his commitment to the development of Telangana goes beyond political power.
'India First, Telangana First, is not just a slogan but it's our policy direction,' he said, reaffirming his dedication to promoting Telangana's interests on global platforms.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Pragmatic Design Solutions Limited (PDSL) Knowledge Centre at the University of Warwick, United Kingdom, on Saturday, he commended the PDSL, describing its growth as a symbol of Telangana's rising talent and global relevance. 'It's a matter of immense pride that youth from Telangana are playing key roles in global entities,' he said.
Taking the opportunity to highlight the previous BRS Government's contribution in transforming Hyderabad into one of India's premier automotive hubs, he stated that Hyderabad stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Pune and Chennai as a leading centre for the automotive industry. He credited this transformation to the party's progressive industrial policies and visionary planning.
Mr. Rama Rao stressed that Telangana must aim to become the number one destination for automobile manufacturing as well. He reminded the audience that Telangana was the first Indian State to host the prestigious Formula E Championship, which underscored the State's commitment to innovation in the mobility sector.
He noted how Telangana emerged as a magnet for global investments during the party's tenure in office. He asked India's youth and industries to adapt to the rapidly changing global landscape. To stay ahead, constant upskilling was essential, he suggested and urged educational institutions, companies and governments, to invest in skilling and re-skilling programmes that respond to future challenges.

FPO conclave on empowering farmers to adopt organic farming was held
A Farmer Producer Organisation Conclave on empowering farmers to adopt organic farming was held in Madurai on Saturday. Over 600 farmers from across Tamil Nadu participated in the event. The event was organised by Infinite Seva, in collaboration with Indian Overseas Bank and supported by Amul and Richplus. Speaking at the inauguration of the conclave, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Indian Overseas Bank Ajay Kumar Srivastava said that the bank believed that the future of Indian agriculture lies in environmentally conscious practices. Lauding the collaboration with Amul and Richplus he said the initiative was to create a comprehensive ecosystem for sustainable growth and build farmers confidence in adopting organic methods. Amul Dairy India Head Gopal Shukla highlighted Amul's long standing commitment to farmer welfare and the support for organic practices through robust procurement systems and fair price mechanisms. Managing Director of Richplus Ashok Sarangan stressed the importance of traceability and quality assurance in organic produce. Chairperson of Infinite Seva Nalini Padmanabhan said the FPOs were the pillars of agricultural development. Executive Director of Indian Overseas Bank T. Dhanaraj and Chief General Manager, NABARD (Tamil Nadu) R. Anand were present at the FPO Conclave. The highlight of the conclave was to promote organic farming and to extend liberal bank finance to farmers. IOB has entered an MoU with Amul and Richplus for promoting organic farming and has created a co-branded card enabling farmers to buy organic materials at a special rate, said a press release issued by the organisers.
