'Best cordless vacuum by far' with £100 off is leaving floors 'pristine'

Shoppers can bag a £100 saving on a Gtech cordless vacuum that's touted to 'easily' outperform rival models. The Gtech AirRAM Platinum Anti Hair Wrap Cordless Vacuum is now up for grabs at £269.99 when the discount code JT83 is used, and it comes with a Speed Clean Kit bundle.
This slashes £100 off the usual £369.99 price tag, with the discount and Speed Clean Kit automatically added to your basket when you apply the code. Gtech is also knocking £120 off its 'powerful' Multi Platinum Cordless Handheld Vacuum, bringing it down from £269.99 to £149.99.
Gtech promotes the AirRAM Platinum as 'taking the work out of housework', boasting easy manoeuvrability thanks to its dynamic steering and Forward Inertia Drive technology. This latter feature propels the vacuum forward, allowing it to glide effortlessly across both carpet and hard floors.
In a bid to compete with Shark and Dyson, Gtech has incorporated its own version of anti-hair wrap technology, which prevents hair from getting tangled in the brush head, making it perfect for pet owners. The vacuum cleaner also features a single suction setting to deliver maximum power, eliminating the need to fiddle with different settings mid-clean.
This pairs with Gtech's AirLOC technology to remove tough embedded hair and fine dust that 'no other vacuum can'. Other standout features include LED headlights in the brushhead to illuminate hard-to-see dust and a long-lasting battery that can run for one hour without loss of suction, reports the Mirror.
While the vacuum's 0.8L dustbin might be on the smaller side compared to competitors, it boasts a feature that compresses dirt, meaning you won't have to empty it as frequently. The AirRAM Platinum also comes with a Speed Cleaning Kit and a detachable duster, transforming it into a handheld device perfect for tackling stairs, upholstery, and those hard-to-reach nooks around your home.
In comparison, Samsung is marketing its Samsung Jet 85 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner, complete with a pet tool, at £479, along with several accessories. This model has earned a commendable 4.5 out of five in customer reviews.
Or Miele offers the Duoflex HX1 Cat and Dog for £329, directly from their site, which represents a saving of £120 and carries a solid 4.2-star rating. Yet, the Gtech AirRAM Platinum stands out with an impressive 4.8-star rating from over 3,500 reviews.
A satisfied buyer enthused: "Exceeds expectations in all areas, easily bettering our Shark vacuum. The [AirLOC] feature leaves the carpets pristine and the design of the product means even edges get cleaned, which our previous Shark and Dyson couldn't manage. Overall, the Gtech is fantastic."
One individual praised: "Best cordless vacuum by far. Power is excellent at one-hour battery time [while] suction and pickup are amazing. I'm in a two bedroom flat and have vacuumed almost daily for the last two weeks and the battery hasn't gone down. I find it a lot quieter than my three-year-old Gtech and it feels lighter to use. Storage is simple – it sits in a corner of my bedroom, ready for use. I love it."
Despite acknowledging the AirRAM Platinum as a 'good vacuum', this four-star review stated: "Bit unpleasant to see the dust accumulating in the machine unlike our old AirRAM."
However, another satisfied customer exclaimed: "Fantastic. Nice and compact for storage. Great suction with the [AirLOC] system, has fantastic power and gives an extremely thorough clean. Great for picking up small bits of fluff and long hair embedded in carpet. Holds charge well. Extremely pleased, would always choose Gtech."

'Royal family doesn't cost taxpayer too much - tourists want monarchist power'

The annual royal accounts have revealed the Firm cost the taxpayer £86.3 million last year, as King Charles derails the Royal Train in a bid to save cash - and we asked Mirror readers to share their thoughts The royal family spent a staggering £2.7 million on travel last year, including journeys by private jet, helicopter, and train, the newly released royal accounts have revealed - and we asked Mirror readers if the Firm is costing the taxpayer too much. Last year's accounts show that the royals cost the taxpayer £86.3 million for the fourth consecutive year, while the King and Queen's trip to Australia and Samoa in October came with a hefty £400,000 price tag. Following the publication of the annual accounts, it was announced that King Charles plans to derail the Royal Train after nearly 125 years of service in a bid to save cash. ‌ The nine-carriage locomotive, which was once Queen Elizabeth II's preferred mode of travel, was only in action twice in the last year but cost £78,000. It comes as the King attempts to "modernise" the Royal Family, as Keeper of the Privy Purse James Chalmers said: "The time has come to bid the fondest of farewells as we seek to be disciplined and forward-looking in our allocation of funding." ‌ The Sovereign Grant, which pays for the royal family's official duties and the upkeep of royal palaces, is met from public funds in exchange for the King's surrender of the revenue from the Crown Estate. The royals then in return get 12 per cent of this revenue back to run their affairs including travel, engagements at home and abroad and welcoming tens of thousands of people to the royal palaces. Record offshore wind farm profits have seen the Crown Estate net profits for the last financial year and hit £1.1 billion - meaning a record breaking Sovereign Grant of £132million will be handed out next year and the year after. Palace aides say the extra cash will go towards paying for the £369million refit of Buckingham Palace and the upkeep of other royal residences. However, former Minister of State for Home Affairs Norman Baker slammed Buckingham Palace 'pretending to be prudent' as 'utter hogwash'. He wrote in the Mirror: "Reality check: the Crown Estate has in effect been a public body since 1760, and until 2011, 100% of its profits went to the Treasury to pay for schools, hospitals, defence and, yes, disability benefits. This 12% is a new royal tax on the public purse." We asked Mirror readers if they think the royal family is costing the taxpayer too much, and 62 percent said 'No'. Around 3,169 people took part in our poll, and 1,955 selected the option 'No - I don't think so'. Voicing their thoughts in the comments section, one user said: 'The RF are the head of the UK and I love what we have, I am a royalist and I'm very proud to say so. I think the RF bring a lot of tourists to our country. King Charles has scaled down the working royals and has been scaling down on some ceremonies and Prince William has plans to scale back even more and wants to modernise the RF and make it less austere, it seems William and Catherine are doing that already.' ‌ Another echoed: 'Westminster Abbey, one of the most popular attractions for oversees tourists, a symbol of British history & the final resting place of revered monarchs, including Queen Elizabeth I & her half sister Queen Mary & famed British icons (Charles Dickens). An unprecedented symbol of hierarchical succession & constitutional monarchy with every coronation conducted there & all monarchs anointed. Tourists want to see symbols of monarchist power, influence & status.' 'Many presidents of other countries are costing a lot more. If you don't take my word, do your research. On top of that tourists don't go visiting countries wanting to see any president, but they may do to see a king. Also The cost isn't only about the king head of state, but other working royals doing complimentary work for the king,' wrote a third. Another added: 'If the Royals bring in more from tourism than is spent on them, that has got to be a win." However, 38 percent said the Firm is costing the taxpayer too much, as one reader fumed: 'All of the information out there and people still believe we aren't giving these over privileged people too much money, throwing millions at them each year doesn't make them any better.' ‌ Get Royal Family updates straight to your WhatsApp! A second wrote: 'It is absolutely ridiculous to believe anyone is coming to the UK to catch a glimpse of the King! or the Royal Family! They aren't in a zoo and they aren't magical beings from Fairyland. How absurd. No matter how you feel about elected Heads of State, at least they aren't automatically put in office just for coming out of the womb, and getting oiled up while pals hold up the sheets. Nobody's spending money and wasting time coming to Britain for that.' Another voiced: 'The monarchy supporters distort the figures. Vastly over estimate any money they bring in (if any), under estimate what they cost. If they were abolished the country would benefit from the companies they own and the taxes they don't pay.' Large garden parasol with LED solar lights reduced by £85

The three-metre square parasol with solar-powered LED strip lights is on sale for a limited time No outdoor seating area is complete without a parasol that will provide much-needed relief from the beating sun. Shopping marketplace Yimbly (owned by the Mirror's parent company Reach Plc) is currently offering a deal on the Living and Home 3M Cantilever Garden Parasol that comes with solar-powered LED lights. The dark grey parasol usually retails at £270.55, but for a limited time shoppers can add it to their outdoor space for £185.01, providing a saving of £85.54. The large square canopy combines functionality with contemporary design, providing a large over-hanging shaded area that can be adjusted using the easy wind-up crank mechanism. It can be fixed at five different angles and spins around a full 360 degrees, allowing the perfect shaded position to be found. The parasol has a handy wind vent to provide stability on breezy days, plus it offers UV protection and is water resistant. As well as being useful in the sunshine, the Living and Home 3M Cantilever Garden Parasol is also ideal for nighttime use thanks to its solar-powered LED light strips that run along the inside frame of the parasol. This feature illuminates summer evenings, providing light to socialise with friends and family, or allowing one to curl up with a good book in the warm evening air. Amazon is selling a similar Purple Leaf 3x3M Garden Cantilever Parasol with LED solar lights priced at £399. This option can also rotate 360 degrees and can be adjusted to six different heights. For shoppers looking for a cheaper option, B&Q has the 3M LED Lighted Large Garden Patio Cantilever Parasol which costs £109. However, this adjustable canopy has individual LED lights rather than LED strips. There are currently no reviews for the Living and Home 3M Cantilever Garden Parasol on the Yimbly website. Over on Trustpilot, the retailer has earned a respectable overall rating of 4.3. One impressed customer wrote: "Goods were as advertised, arrived promptly and delivered with care." Another added: "Great products at a fraction of a cost compared to other sellers. Reliable delivery." Unfortunately one shopper who ordered a different parasol was left unimpressed, as they explained: "Ordered a parasol including a base. The base came Saturday, the parasol on Tuesday. I would have preferred both on the same day, would have stopped me having to send pointless emails." In contrast, one buyer who purchased a hedge trimmer from Yimbly was delighted with their purchase, as they commented: "The product is fantastic, it will be so easy to keep on top of my hedge now. Along with excellent customer service and super fast delivery, I will definitely use this company again."

Dyson announces latest Airwrap styler that's faster and lighter than older models

Dyson's 'most advanced' Airwrap styler to date is expected to be released soon. With the first Dyson Airwrap Styler launched back in 2018, the tech brand has since released a variety of models so shoppers can achieve bouncy curls and gorgeous blow dries with ease. Now fans will be delighted to hear that Dyson's most awarded hair styler is getting an upgrade this year. Set to be released in September, Dyson has just launched the Dyson Airwrap Co-anda 2x multi-styler and dryer. Available in both Jasper Plum and Ceramic Pink, this new Airwrap is said to make styling easier while also protecting your hair. With a price tag of £579.99, shoppers will need to sign up to Dyson's newsletter to be alerted of when the styler is ready to hit the shelves. So what can shoppers expect from this new Airwarp? Said to be Dyson's 'most advanced' Airwrap yet, the Co-anda multi-styler will feature a brand new motor that "spins nine times faster than a Formula 1 car engine", reports the Mirror. On top of this, the device includes smart sensor technology that will adapt each attachment to the best airflow and temperature settings. In comparison to the Airwarp i.d. styler (RRP £479.99), is latest edition is smaller and lighter, making it easier for shoppers to use through their hair. Coming with a Dyson-designed case, the Co-anda styler comes with two sets that consist of six attachments. The Straight + Wavy set consists of a 30mm Co-anda2x curling barrel, 40mm Co-anda2x curling barrel, anti-snag loop brush 2x, round volumising brush 2x, AirSmooth 2x attachment and fast dryer 2x. And for the Curly + Coily set, shoppers will get a 40mm Co-anda2x curling barrel, anti-snag loop brush 2x, round volumising brush 2x, tension comb 2x, Wave+Curl diffuser 2x and fast dryer 2x. With a new and improved motor, users will see a reduction in the amount of time that it takes to curl their hair. In fact, the device will be able to create tight, voluminous and loose curls faster by using 30 per cent more product power and two times more air pressure than older devices. Users should also have a more comfortable experience with the new Airwrap as it comes with an anti-snag loop brush. This attachment comes with new hook bristles that should provide increased control nearer the root of the hair, while also providing comfort on the scalp. For those who instead want to straighten their hair, they will be able to do so with the AirSmooth 2x attachment. This add-on features two non-heated contact bars and two jets of high velocity air. This should remove frizz while also straightening the hair. Once the attachment has completely passed through your hair, the arms will automatically unclamp to release the hair to avoid any unnecessary damage. Some fans of Dyson's hair care products have already seen the trailer video of Dyson's newest Airwrap, and a few were quick to leave their guesses about the device. One person said: "Oh looks like a blow dryer, a new smooth brush, round brush, curler… and is that a straightener attachment?" Beauty deal of the week Looking to get that salon blowdry from home? Then look no further than Amazon's limited deal on the Remington Ionic Dry Hair Dryer. Worth £56.99, the online delivery giant is offering this styling tool for just £19.99, reducing it by a staggering 65 percent and £37 overall. Offering a stylish, sleek black design, it uses a power 2200W motor that delivers fast, efficient styling, with three heat and two speed settings having shoppers saying that it provides "super versatile" styling options. Another key feature beauty buffs will love is the ionic conditioning that provides multiple benefits such as a faster drying time, all while leaving hair smoother, shinier and less damaged. It also comes complete with a concentrator attachment that can help achieve that smooth, sleek effect, while the diffuser will be suitable for anyone looking to enhance their curls. With praise for its "fast drying" ability that also leaves hair "frizz free", it's understandable why it averages a 4.6 rating, as one shopper said: "Absolutely love this Remington hair dryer! The 2200W power ensures fast drying, and the ionic conditioning leaves my hair smooth and frizz-free. "The multiple heat and speed settings make it super versatile, and the cool shot locks in my style. The included diffuser and concentrator are perfect for different styling needs. Highly recommend for professional-quality results at home!" Shop Amazon's limited 65 per cent off deal on the Remington Ionic Dry Hair Dryer now. While another person joked: "I mean, three months ago I bought the Airstrait, I also own Airwrap and Supersonic, please stop, I have no more place in my flat." For those wanting a cheaper version of the Airwrap, Dyson is also selling a refurbished edition of their Airwrap multi-styler and dryer for £399.99. Along with a diffuser, this device also comes with two long barrels, a volumising brush and smoothing brush. While the idea of the Dyson Airwrap is appealing to many, the devices also come with a hefty price tag that many of us can't afford. Thankfully, there are similar products on the market that are a bit cheaper. For example, Boots has reduced the price of the Shark FlexStyle 4-in-1 Air Styler & Hair Dryer. Normally retailing for £259.99, shoppers can now grab it for £199.99. This styler can switch between being a powerful hair dryer and a versatile styling wand. Alternatively, Amazon is selling the GLAMUP AirCurler 6 in 1 Multi Hair Styler for £149. This versatile styler comes with wrap curlers, a silk straight nozzle, a paddle brush, a volumiser and a dryer nozzle attachment so users can blowdry, smooth, curl and style their hair any way they want. Talking about the new Dyson Airwrap, Sir James Dyson, founder and chief engineer of Dyson said: "Dyson has developed a new motor for our new Airwrap2x, which spins at 150,000rpm, delivering twice the air pressure, faster drying and less heat damage. "The high pressure creates a longer lasting curl or straighter styles. Traditional stylers can damage hair, but we have always focused on developing tools that protect hair health whilst enhancing without compromising precision and or performance. We harness our expertise in motors, fluid dynamics, and materials to continually improve."
