Noel and Liam Gallagher make last-minute Oasis change hours before reunion tour
Oasis have had a very last minute change to their line up - with a member of the band named in the tour programme no longer heading out on the road.
The Mirror reported yesterday how the main Oasis line up was as expected with Liam Gallagher as the frontman and Noel Gallagher on guitar alongside close pals and regulars Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, Gem Archer and Andy Bell. The new drummer is Joey Waronker, who performed with Liam Gallagher and John Squire last year on a tour.
But in the tour programme there is also a list of additional musicians playing with the band and they are; Christian Madden on keyboards, Jess Greenfield on backing vocals, Alastair White on trombone, Steve Hamilton on saxophone and Joe Auckland will be playing the trumpet.
Jess would have been a rare female member of the group but the Mirror understands she will no longer be on stage.
A source close to the band said she was only listed in the earlier drafts of the programme and will not be going on tour.
'The band are not using backing singers anymore. Noel has worked loads with Jess in the past but after final rehearsals were done and the set list was drawn up it made more sense for Noel to do the backing vocals for Liam on the songs. It's a shame for Jess but it's likely there will be other opportunities for her with Noel in the future. They just didn't need her in the end."
In February on the podcast Behind The Curtain Jess was asked about the Oasis reunion and said: 'I found out pretty much when everyone else did. I'd heard rumours and then I heard for definite two days before through someone else. Yeah It was definitely a shock.
Oasis have released new tickets for UK tour - how to buy yours if you missed out
'I'd love to go. Hopefully Wembley cos it is Wembley. It's amazing and the last time they performed those songs properly was in the Nineties when I was a teenager and I didn't go to the gigs back in the day.
'So it will be nice to see it as an adult. I'm really looking forward to it.'
Trumpet player Joe Auckland, saxophonist Steve Hamilton and Trombonist Alastair White have also worked with Noel in his band The High Flying Birds, whilst Christian Madden plays keyboard with Liam. The programme also lists Bonehead as playing both guitar and piano on tour.
Noel and Liam will walk on stage for the first time together in public today, since the band split nearly two decades ago in Cardiff today. There will also be dates in Manchester, London and Dublin as part of the tour.
The band are thought to have rehearsed in the stadium this week although Liam has played down the suggestion when people were asking him about certain songs in the setlist.
Fans began to queue to go into the stadium last night, with the earliest people there getting their tickets upgraded to VIP status.
The band will finally take to the stage tonight, having split in August 2009. In a video to promote the comeback last year, Liam was heard saying: "When we both come together, you have greatness."
Noel then says: "I know my brother better than anybody else. This is it, this is happening."

Fan buys £35 restricted view Oasis ticket and can't get over how good it is
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info In the run-up to the much-anticipated Oasis reunion at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, a stroke of luck struck for some fans as they received emails alerting them to snap up last-minute tickets. For those who had endured the gruelling online queues back in August, this was a delightful twist – all the more sweetened by the bargain price of just £35 a ticket. Cardiff local Kelly Reardon Brown, who had previously spent a fruitless summer day trying to secure tickets, found her fortunes reversed this week. Instead of shelling out the expected £150 per ticket to see Liam and Noel Gallagher reunite on stage, she managed to bag hers for a mere £35. The only minor hiccup? The tickets were for seats with a 'restricted view' label, but it turned out to be the best £35 Kelly, a sales director, had splashed out all year, reports Wales Online. READ MORE - Noel Gallagher confirms 'true reason for Oasis reunion' ahead of Edinburgh gigs READ MORE - BBC's Clare Balding says 'it's killing me' as she shares update with wife Alice Kelly shared her disbelief: "By that point I'd given up hope. I had been checking the Ticketmaster website but everything was really high priced. I was expecting to pay around £150 a ticket for the area we sat in. I also knew how scarce the tickets are and it was opening night too." She found herself in block U5, tucked away in the top left corner of the stadium map, on the upper tier, and was astounded by the price. Kelly recounted her initial confusion: "I genuinely thought I'd messed up at first and had only bought one ticket. (Kelly bought two) When I went back and saw I'd got them for £34.50 each, I thought there had been a mistake. "I then text a friend who works for the stadium and checked that I didn't have fake tickets! I genuinely couldn't believe it." Kelly was relieved to find she hadn't been duped, and the U5 experience was "worth every penny. "The view was brilliant," she continued. "You could see the entire stage from side on and you even got to see backstage too when they were walking in which brilliant as they (Noel and Liam) turned to us and clapped when we all cheered. (Image: Kelly Reardon Brown) (Image: SeeTickets) (Image: Kelly Reardon Brown) "The screen was bent backwards so we had view of half of the screen. There was plenty of space too for us to dance. Great seats." Reflecting on the event, Kelly wished she had purchased more tickets to invite additional friends, but she feared they might sell out if she attempted to go through the buying process again. I can't believe I got to see Oasis on the history making opening night for £34.50! Im so lucky!". At the inaugural concert on 4 July, lead singer Liam Gallagher commented on the ticket fiasco. Speaking to the audience, he queried: "You all having a good time, yeah?". He then quipped: "Was it worth the £40,000 you paid for a ticket?". The tickets for the highly anticipated Oasis reunion flew off the virtual shelves earlier this year, selling out at all venues due to overwhelming demand. Nevertheless, there are still a few avenues open for fans hoping to catch the band at the last minute. Limited last-minute tickets can be purchased from the official Ticketmaster resale site, where fans unable to attend can sell their seats, although these tend to fluctuate in availability. Meanwhile, resale platforms like Viagogo, Vivid Seats, StubHub, and Twickets are offering tickets for various dates starting at £121, but fans should always remember that many official sites, such as Ticketmaster and Live Nation, advise against buying resale tickets.

READ MORE - BBC's Clare Balding says 'it's killing me' as she shares update with wife Alice READ MORE - Brooklyn Beckham 'snubs' sister Harper in latest heartbreaking signal to family Last year's reunion announcement came 15 years after Noel walked away from the Manchester group, declaring he "simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer", following a backstage altercation at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris. However, performing on stage this evening, Noel appeared visibly moved at times as he shared the spotlight with his sibling once more, reports the Mirror. On the second night of the show, Noel paused to acknowledge Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs when the band returned for their encore. He declared: "On guitar, if it wasn't for him, none of this would have happened!". Noel and Liam strutted onto the stage before acknowledging fans at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Friday, marking the opening night of their highly anticipated global comeback tour. The siblings, who hadn't performed together since their dramatic breakdown in 2009, powered through their set list, opening with Hello, from their second album, (What's the Story) Morning Glory? At their long-awaited reunion gig, the lead vocalist offered heartfelt apologies to fans for the lengthy wait. Liam Gallagher engaged with the crowd multiple times during the performance, remarking: "Hello people, it's been too long," ahead of their third track, (What's the Story). In a moment of camaraderie before belting out Cigarettes And Alcohol, Liam urged the audience to come together, instructing them to "turn around and hug a stranger." (Image: Daily Mirror) (Image: Scott A Garfitt/Invision/AP) He rallied the concert-goers, proclaiming: "Right then beautiful people, I want to see you all turn around and put your arms round each other. And when the tune starts, jump up and f****** down." The Gallagher brothers didn't shy away from poking fun at the recent dynamic pricing debacle that had left fans in an uproar as ticket prices for their UK and Ireland shows seemingly skyrocketed from £148 to £355. This controversy caught the attention of both the Government and competition authorities, who have promised to investigate the matter. Following his performance of Roll With It, Liam exited the stage, allowing Noel to step into the spotlight as the lead singer for the first time. He humorously commented on the gig's value, quipping: "It's just gone up." Later on, Liam chimed in with a jest about the ticket prices, asking the crowd: "Was it worth the £40,000 you paid for a ticket?". As the band played the closing notes of Live Forever, they paid tribute to Diogo Jota, the Liverpool footballer tragically killed in a car crash on Thursday, by displaying his picture. The audience responded with a resounding cheer and applause, honouring the late sportsman. As they launched into the crowd-pleaser 'Champagne Supernova', their final tune of the night, the frontman declared: "Right you beautiful people, this is it. Nice one for putting up with us over the years, we know we've been difficult. Champagne Supernova, nice one." Despite the lack of on-stage chatter between the Gallagher brothers during the performance, they did share a fleeting moment of camaraderie with a quick high-five and a brief shoulder hug after belting out their last song. Supporting Oasis were the 90s icons Cast and the ex-Verve lead Richard Ashcroft. Cast, hailing from Liverpool and known for their indie rock flair, gave a nod to Diogo Jota by dedicating their top 10 smash 'Walkaway' to the football star.

During the second performance at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Saturday, July 5, Noel spoke about his reconciliation with brother Liam. Fans across the world have been revelling in Oasis fever, yet not long ago the idea of seeing Noel and Liam united on stage seemed impossible due to their notorious split in 2009. It has been 16 years since Noel walked away from the band, declaring he "simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer" following an intense altercation at Rock en Seine festival held in Paris. Yet, amidst last night's concert, Noel was visibly emotional as he found himself performing alongside his brother once more. Liam engaged with the crowd on multiple occasions during the performance, remarking: "Hello people, it's been too long," just prior to their third track, What's the Story. Before diving into Cigarettes And Alcohol, Liam incited the audience members to show affection, instructing them to hug someone nearby. He directed: "Right then beautiful people, I want to see you all turn around and put your arms round each other. And when the tune starts, jump up and f****** down." The Gallagher brothers also brought up the contentious issue of dynamic pricing which angered fans attempting to purchase tickets for UK and Ireland gigs, with prices for some seats seemingly escalating from £148 to £355. The uproar led to the Government and Britain's competition authority vowing to scrutinise the implementation of dynamic pricing. Noel stepped into the role of lead vocalist for the first time after Liam exited the stage post Roll With It. He joked with the fans about the price of the concert, and quipped: "It's just gone up." Later on, Liam asked: "Was it worth the £40,000 you paid for a ticket?" In homage to Diogo Jota, the talented Liverpool footballer who tragically died in a car accident the previous Thursday, his image was displayed during the concluding moments of Live Forever. The audience reacted with cheers and a round of applause for the heartfelt tribute. As they launched into the crowd-pleaser Champagne Supernova, which was their concluding number of the night, the frontman addressed the audience: "Right you beautiful people, this is it. "Nice one for putting up with us over the years, we know we've been difficult. Champagne Supernova, nice one." Despite the absence of any real chit-chat between the Gallagher siblings during the show, they did exchange a brief high-five and a sort of half-hug around the shoulders following their final song. Oasis received support from fellow '90s band Cast and the erstwhile lead singer of The Verve, Richard Ashcroft. Cast, the indie rock group hailing from Liverpool, also took a moment to honour Diogo Jota by dedicating their top 10 smash Walkaway to the footballer. Looking for last minute tickets?
