(Medical), which oversees the Ramaiah Group of Medical & Healthcare Institutions, has appointed
Dr. Nagendra Swamy
(Hosp. Admin.) as the Chief Executive – Healthcare Services.
It is stated that Dr. Swamy will lead the strategic and operational direction of
Ramaiah Memorial Hospital
and associated hospitals under the Foundation. He will also coordinate efforts across the group's healthcare institutions to strengthen integration, clinical research, and academic collaboration, including the ongoing partnership with
Mount Sinai Hospital
, New York.
It is stated that Dr. Swamy brings over 45 years of experience in
healthcare management
across India, the Middle East, and Far East Asia. He previously served as President of Ramaiah Memorial Hospital and held senior roles at Manipal Health Enterprises, Welcare Hospital (Dubai), Canadian Specialist Hospital (Dubai), and Fortis Hospital, Mohali.
He has been associated with academic institutions such as JSS University, Siddaganga Medical College, SDM University Dharwad, and Symbiosis University, Pune. Known for his work in
hospital administration
and quality, Dr. Swamy has served on national and international panels including those formed by NITI Aayog,
CAHO
, FICCI, and NABH.
His recognitions include the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award by CAHO, the Dr. B. C. Roy Award by the Government of Karnataka, and the Distinguished Alumni Award from Manipal University.

Konda: Social Welfare Minister Dr Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy stated that both Central and State governments are working diligently to prevent tuberculosis (TB). The Minister participated in the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan rally held at Turpunayudu Palem in Prakasam district on Tuesday. During the event, the Minister, along with officials, took a pledge for TB prevention. Speaking at the occasion, the minister emphasised the collaborative efforts between the Central and State governments in TB prevention initiatives. Declaring that 'Everyone must strive to completely eradicate TB,' the Minister stressed that TB elimination requires coordinated efforts from all sections of society. He informed that free TB testing and medicines are available at all government hospitals. He urged people to immediately visit the nearest hospital for testing if they experience any TB symptoms. Minister Swamy said that 'Healthy Andhra Pradesh' is Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's goal, and the coalition government is working accordingly to achieve this vision.

Kondapi: Social Welfare Minister Dr Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy announced that the government, with the support from the donors, would provide Rs 1,000 as incentive to the ASHA workers boosting hospital deliveries. Speaking after the inauguration of an X-Ray unit at the Government Primary Health Centre (PHC) here on Wednesday, the minister outlined several initiatives aimed at increasing institutional deliveries in government hospitals. He said that the new measures are to improve healthcare delivery for the poor, emphasising the coalition government's commitment to providing quality medical services to underprivileged communities. He explained that ASHA workers will receive their regular salary of Rs 10,000 along with an additional incentive of Rs 1,000 per delivery, funded through donor contributions. He praised the competitive spirit shown by MLAs and TDP in-charges in Prakasam district in promoting hospital deliveries. Minister Swamy announced that Rs 50 lakh in government funds would be allocated for remodelling buildings at the PHC, along with cement road construction around the hospital premises. The minister commended donors who provided incentives to ASHA workers and acknowledged the efforts of doctors and ANMs who have been instrumental in promoting these healthcare initiatives. He called upon both the government and donors to continue their collaborative efforts in supporting public health services.
