Female TV presenter accuses PSG's Champions League-winning manager Luis Enrique of 'public mockery' over his on-air behaviour towards her
The Spaniard made reference to a nearly decade-long feud with Movistar Plus presenter Susana Guasch after leading the Parisians to the Champions League on Saturday night.
Enrique, who claimed his second European Cup as a manager, joked that he was 'here for' Guasch's colleague, 'less so' for another interviewee and 'not much' for the journalist who clashed with the 55-year-old in 2016 when he was manager of Barcelona.
During a heated flash interview, Enrique claimed that Guasch - then working for Spanish outlet La Sexta - had provided analysis that was 'quite superficial, quite gratuitous. It has nothing to do with that of a professional.
The former striker had clearly not forgotten the interaction despite, according to Guasch, the pair not seeing each other for nine years. Guasch took to social media to explain the incident, which sent tongues wagging online.
'I hadn't seen him in nine years. I see he hasn't forgotten my work and that he didn't like it,' she said. 'Hey, well, it's all a matter of taste... but that's it, nothing else happened, just that. The best thing is that, almost a decade later, he's still doing his thing, and so am I.
Guasch took to social media to explain the interaction before later revealing that she did not see the funny side of the Spaniard's comments
'He'll still think we journalists don't have a f***ing clue—the title, by the way, of a wonderful documentary about him, which you can't miss if you haven't seen it'
In an interview on Radioestadio Noche, she added: 'Luis Enrique knew he was the talk of the social networks, he was a public ridicule; he knew what he was doing.
'What surprises me is that he continues to give me this prominence. I didn't find any funny side in what he did; he didn't look at me.'
After leading PSG to an emphatic 5-0 win over Inter Milan at the Allianz Arena, Enrique grabbed headlines for the emotional tribute he paid to his daughter Xana, who died in 2019.
The Spaniard wore a tee-shirt with a sketch showing him and Xana planting a PSG flag - just as they did with a Barcelona-themed one a decade ago.
Xana died aged nine in August 2019 following a battle with bone cancer, leaving Enrique and his wife Elena Cullell heartbroken.
At full-time, he told Sky Sport Italia: 'My daughter has been with me since she left. She left physically, but she is always with me spiritually.
'I don't need a win or a defeat in the Champions League: I feel it anyway. Nothing changes in terms of feelings, I still feel it. And I want to remember all the good things he brought into my life. In life you are born, you die, everything else is seen.'
Xana was present a decade ago with a flag when he won his first Treble with Barcelona, and though she died in 2019, he still feels like she is in his life
PSG fans also unveiled a tifo tribute to Xana in the stands, showing him and her planting a flag.
Reflecting on Xana's heartbreaking death, Enrique explained in the documentary series 'You Have No F***ing idea': 'Can I consider myself lucky or unfortunate? I consider myself lucky, very lucky.
'"But your daughter died at nine years old". Well, my daughter came to live with us for nine wonderful years. We have thousands of memories from her, videos, incredible things.'

Home Office announces ‘nationwide blitz' on asylum seekers taking jobs
The Home Office has announced what it is calling a 'nationwide blitz' on asylum seekers who take jobs, after recent political controversy about people in asylum hotels working as food takeaway delivery riders. In a statement, which gave few specifics, the Home Office pledged to begin 'a major operation to disrupt this type of criminality' based around enforcement teams focusing on the gig economy, particularly on delivery riders. 'Strategic, intel-driven activity will bring together officers across the UK and place an increased focus on migrants suspected of working illegally whilst in taxpayer funded accommodation or receiving financial support,' the statement said. It follows media stories about evidence that people who are living in hotels waiting for their asylum claims to be processed, and who are banned from working, have been using the log-ins of people with official migration status to work for companies such as Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats. Ten days ago the shadow home secretary, Chris Philp, posted a much-shared social media video of him visiting an asylum hotel in London and finding bikes laden with bags from the various food delivery companies packed together in an outside courtyard. On Monday, Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat promised to increase the use of facial verification checks for riders after a hastily arranged meeting with Home Office ministers. The Home Office statement said anyone caught working could lose their accommodation or support payments, and that businesses found to be employing someone not entitled to work could face fines of up to £60,000 per worker, as well as director disqualifications or prison terms. It said there had already been an increase in enforcement and arrests connected to illegal working in the year since Labour took power. Asylum and immigration is seen by ministers as an area of political vulnerability, one being exploited by Reform UK and the Conservatives. While a huge backlog of unprocessed asylum claims is being gradually reduced, the number of asylum seekers arriving on small boats across the Channel has risen. Keir Starmer is to discuss the issue with Emmanuel Macron when the French president visits the UK next week, with the possibility of a 'one in, one out' deal in which the UK could return those on small boats to France in exchange for accepting asylum seekers with links to Britain via more formal means. Yvette Cooper, the home secretary, said the government was increasing action to combat the 'pull factor' of such work. However, she said: 'There is no single solution to the problem of illegal migration. That's why we've signed landmark agreements with international partners to dismantle gangs and made significant arrests of notorious people smugglers.' Philp said: 'It shouldn't take a visit to an asylum hotel by me as shadow home secretary to shame the government into action. Illegal working by asylum seekers – most of whom also entered the country illegally – is happening from the very hotels Yvette Cooper is using our money to run. 'The government could easily stop it. I saw Deliveroo and other bikes parked in the hotel's own compound - yet all the security guard cared about was me filming.'

PSG vs Bayern Munich prediction, odds and betting offer
PSG and Bayern will both be eyeing for a place in the Club World Cup final but first have to book a spot in the semi-finals In an electrifying quarter-final face-off at the FIFA Club World Cup, European football giants PSG and Bayern Munich are set to clash on American soil, specifically in Atlanta. The team from France, PSG, is on a quest to clinify the world champions title, a mere month and a bit after they clinched their first-ever Champions League victory. Their journey in this tournament hasn't been without its bumps, as they suffered a surprising defeat to Botafogo during the group stage. However, they've since rebounded impressively, securing decisive wins against MLS teams Seattle Sounders and Inter Miami. Their round-of-16 match against Inter Miami saw them leading by four goals by halftime, which gave their manager Luis Enrique the opportunity to give his star players a breather for the second half. However, Enrique is well aware that the upcoming match at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium this Saturday will likely be a more formidable challenge. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich, another favourite to lift the trophy of this tournament, have had their own journey. The reigning Bundesliga champions had to settle for second place in their group behind Benfica. Yet, they managed to navigate through a potentially difficult round-of-16 match against Flamengo with success, emerging victorious with a 4-2 win in Miami, thanks in part to Harry Kane's double strike. Chelsea edge Palmeiras as late deflection books Club World Cup semi-final spot
Their place in the last four of the Club World Cup in the bag and the prospect of a £97m windfall still up for grabs, Chelsea found themselves in an unusual position: relieved to have survived a taxing second half, hailing Malo Gusto's unlikely role as matchwinner and able to delight in the opposition's goalscorer being named superior player of the match. For a while the story of this entertaining quarter-final looked like it was going to be about Enzo Maresca finding it within himself to forgive Estevao Willian. Everything had changed when the Brazilian sensation, who joins Chelsea after this tournament, cancelled out an early goal from Cole Palmer and hauled Palmeiras level at the start of the second half. Quiet during the first half, Estevao threatened to take over and send his next team back to England. The consolation for Chelsea was likely to be seeing exactly why they have paid £52m to sign a talent tipped by many good judges to win the Ballon d'Or one day. Yet that uncomfortable conversation between Estevao and Maresca was averted thanks to a horrendous error from Weverton seven minutes from time, a deflected cross from Gusto somehow deceiving the Palmeiras goalkeeper and bobbling in. Palmeiras, who have never won this competition, could not believe their misfortune. They lost late to Chelsea in the final three years ago; now they were out thanks to an own-goal from their goalkeeper. Not that Chelsea cared. The future looks bright. Palmer and Estevao working in tandem after this tournament? It is a delicious prospect and Chelsea's owners will have loved the symbolism of the duo embracing at half-time. As for the present, the focus is on reaching next Sunday's final in New York. Next up are Fluminese, who beat Al-Hilal in the day's other quarter-final, and that means a reunion with a Brazilian from a different era: the former Chelsea centre-back, Thiago Silva. There was also rare positive PR for Fifa given that its dynamic pricing model pulled in a bigger crowd than expected and quelled any debate over scheduling this tie on Independence Day. This, after all, was far from the biggest show in town on Friday. Fourth of July festivities tend to be quite a big deal in Philadelphia, the birthplace of American democracy, and anyone looking for ways to mark the holiday could choose from Major League Baseball at nearby Citizens Bank Park, free concerts and a fireworks show in the city centre. But prices dropping as low as $11.15 (£8.17) ensured there was a decent attendance at Lincoln Financial Field, where attention was on the weirdness of Estevao playing his future employers. What to do? In Marc Cucurella's case it was to stick tight to the teenager and kick him at every opportunity. It was as if the left-back was determined to show Estevao what it will be like in the Premier League. The challenges were physical and there was even a blast of fury from Cucurella after Estevao had a nibble at Levi Colwill midway through the first half. Chelsea were aggressive. The worry for Maresca was how his midfield would function without the suspended Moises Caicedo and the injured Romeo Lavia. Enzo Fernandez moved deeper but there was another rejig when Reece James suffered an injury during the warm-up, forcing Maresca to hand a first start to Andrey Santos. In that context, perhaps it was not a surprise when Chelsea grew a little ragged in the second half. Making up for the absence of Caicedo's power and Lavia's elegance was not easy for Santos. The 21-year-old Brazilian is still adjusting to Maresca's system after an impressive loan spell at Strasbourg, although this was still an encouraging first step. Playing in a deeper role, Santos asked for the ball, got stuck in and did not hide when the game got tough after half-time. Palmeiras, who were without key figures in defence, had struggled at first. Maresca had left it up to Pedro Neto to decide if he wanted to play after the death of his friend and Portugal team-mate Diogo Jota. Neto was excused from training on Thursday and it would not have been a surprise if the winger had accepted the offer of compassionate leave. Instead, though, the 25-year-old lined up on the right wing and was soon giving Micael the run around. Palmer, playing as a No 10, was just as elusive. Sixteen minutes in, he moved to the right, took a pass from Trevoh Chalobah and turned. The outcome was inevitable. Palmer swerved on to his left foot, held off a couple of challenges and threaded a low shot into the right corner from 20 yards. Sign up to Football Daily Kick off your evenings with the Guardian's take on the world of football after newsletter promotion Chelsea remained on top. They should have scored again, only for Christopher Nkunku to shoot over. There was a lull as half-time approached. Richard Rios had an opening for Palmeiras. Liam Delap ruled himself out of the semi-final after picking up a booking. The mind went back to Chelsea blowing a half-time lead against Flamengo during the group stage. The Brazilian teams are not to be underestimated. Palmeiras emerged with more intensity at the start of the second half. The narrative turned in the 53rd minute. There was a clever pass from the right from Rios. Estevao nipped in, stepping past Colwill, and then came the demonstration of his unique talent: the daring to shoot from such a tight angle, the bravery to take it with his weaker right foot, and the technique to catch Robert Sanchez out at his near post, the ball flying past the Chelsea goalkeeper and going in off the bar. Maresca responded by removing Delap for Joao Pedro and bringing Noni Madueke on for the disappointing Nkunku. Chelsea rallied. Joao Pedro, who has only had a couple of training sessions since joining from Brighton this week, looked bright. Madueke brought more drive on the left. The game flew from end to end. Palmeiras were too open. Chelsea kept working themselves into promising positions, although the nature of the winning goal owed more to luck than judgement, Gusto squeezing in a cross, the ball changing course and Weverton not reacting in time.
