Cebu Pacific rolls out P188 promo fare for domestic flights

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific has rolled out one-way promotional base fares as low as P188 for domestic flights from Manila. In an advisory, Cebu Pacific said the promotional fares, exclusive of fees and surcharges, started on Monday, July 21, and will last until Thursday, July 24. These will cover flights from September 1, 2025 to December 15, 2025. Cebu Pacific flew 2.233 million passengers in June, up from 2.069 million the same month last year. Majority of the passengers or 1.675 million were on domestic flights. This brought the year-to-date figure to 13.905 million — 10.356 million domestic, and 3.549 million international. The set load factor stood at 85.4%, slightly higher than the 85.3% last year. 'For the first half of 2025, our load factors have increased despite seat growth of more than 20%. This reflects the continued strength of air travel demand within our network,' Lao said. 'Capacity for the second half of June was reduced due to the commencement of the leaner season. This also aligns with ongoing proactive management of engine and supply chain issues, and as such, we would expect capacity growth levels to stay at similar levels through the third quarter before rising again in the fourth quarter,' he added. The company last week announced the arrival of its latest aircraft, a brand new A330neo, making it the Philippines' first carrier with a 100-strong fleet. — RSJ, GMA Integrated News

Awra Briguela pens message of gratitude for Vice Ganda

Awra Briguela just graduated from high school and among those she thanked was Vice Ganda, her manager and 'Lovely Muder.' As seen in her Instagram post, Awra wrote her letter on the back of her graduation photo, dedicating her accomplishment to Vice. "Para sa 'yo 'to. Hindi ko 'to mararating kung hindi dahil sa 'yo," Awra said, adding 'Salamat sa walang sawang paniniwala at pagmamahal. Pangako, patuloy akong magsusumikap. Mahal na mahal kita.' Vice Ganda also wrote a message for Awra, addressing her as "My Lovely Dowter." "I've always believed in you! And I'm prouder that you try hard everyday to redeem yourself. I'm just here rooting for you. To more wins, anak ko," Vice said. In the caption, Awra said "every milestone feels better when you know you didn't walk alone." "I love you always and FOREVER, My Lovely Muder," she added. Awra graduated high school from the University of the East this month. Ahead of the ceremony, she proudly showed her grades to Vice and said it was all for her. In 2024, Awra also thanked Vice for being there during difficult times. Awra's accomplishments are hard won, especially after the troubles she went through in 2023, when she was detained by the Makati City Police after her involvement in a brawl. After posting bail, she filed a counter-affidavit in connection with the complaints she faced. — Nika Roque/LA, GMA Integrated News
