Clingy Texas woman used bizarre trick to MARRY boyfriend without him knowing, cops say
A Texas woman has been arrested after she allegedly staged an entire wedding ceremony without the groom's knowledge - then mailed him the marriage certificate.
Kristin Marie Spearman, 36, was charged with third-degree felony stalking after police say she orchestrated the bizarre fake wedding following her breakup with her 42-year-old ex-boyfriend.
The unnamed victim reported the incident after he received a package from his former girlfriend with what appeared to be an official marriage certificate showing they were husband and wife.
The only issue was that he had never attended any wedding ceremony, according to Beverly Hills Police Chief Kory Martin's office on Friday to report the incident.
The alleged victim told investigators the he and Spearman had been in a relationship and had even obtained a marriage license around June 2.
But the couple had a huge fight and broke up before the wedding could take place to make it official.
Chief Martin told KWKT that Spearman allegedly convinced a pastor to certify the marriage despite the groom being completely absent from the ceremony.
The woman then allegedly took the fraudulent marriage certificate to the county clerk's office and officially filed it.
She then made it appear as though a legitimate wedding had taken place.
The victim only found out about the scheme when his ex sent the marriage certificate in a package.
Police obtained an arrest warrant for third-degree felony stalking and took her into custody.
Spearman was booked into McLennan County Jail.
'I don't think in 23 years, I've ever heard of anybody who managed somehow to get married to someone who wasn't present for a ceremony,' Martin told the outlet.
'I've talked to the victim, and he's going through a significant process to try to have to fix this at this point.'
'So that's a whole other situation. It's not only the concern of what does that mean for my safety my property ... which is a huge conversation in this, but also what I had to do to fix it. '
Martin said his department is not releasing information about which pastor officiated the ceremony as the investigation continues.

Federal agents blasted their way into a residential home in Huntington Park, California, on Friday. Security-camera video obtained by the local NBC station showed border patrol agents setting up an explosive device near the door of the house and then detonating it – causing a window to be shattered. The agents who raided Ramirez's home in Huntington Park on Friday also reportedly sent a drone into the house after setting off the explosive device. The agents told Ramirez that they were searching for her boyfriend, but did not tell her why, according to NBC. Ramirez told the news station that he was involved in a vehicle collision with a truck carrying federal agents last week. She said it was an accident and unintentional. A spokesperson for Customs and Border Protection told NBC: 'Jorge Sierra-Hernandez was arrested because he rammed his car into a CBP vehicle, causing significant damage and obstructed the work of our agents and officers during course of a law enforcement operation.' The spokesperson said agents were 'assaulted' during this incident and 'additional rioters threw rocks and other objects at our personnel'. Customs and Border Protection did not immediately return the Guardian's request for comment. In a separate incident in Huntington Park on Friday, a man was arrested for apparently impersonating an Ice agent, according to another report by the local NBC station. Police said they arrested the man after he parked in a disabled zone. In his vehicle, they allegedly found a firearm and documents that appeared to be from Homeland Security Investigations and CBP. The man was arrested over possession of an allegedly unregistered firearm and later released on bail.

President Donald Trump appeared to suggest that billions of dollars of U.S. aid to Israel could be at stake if prosecutors do not drop corruption charges against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump lashed out at Israeli prosecutors in a Truth Social post Saturday evening and said it was 'terrible' what was happening to 'war hero' Netanyahu, who faces charges of bribery, fraud and breach of trust. He denies all of the allegations. While the president did not directly threaten prosecutors, he highlighted that the United States has sent billions of dollars to Israel and said the nation was 'not going to stand' for it. 'It is INSANITY doing what the out-of-control prosecutors are doing to Bibi Netanyahu,' Trump said. 'The United States of America spends Billions of Dollar a year, far more than on any other Nation, protecting and supporting Israel. We are not going to stand for this.' He called Netanyahu's prosecution a 'POLITICAL WITCH HUNT' and compared the case to the 'very similar to the Witch Hunt that I was forced to endure' following the president's multiple indictments on conspiracy and fraud charges. Israel is the largest recipient of U.S. foreign aid, having received hundreds of billions of dollars in military and economic support over the last several decades, including billions in additional support for Israel during its war in Gaza. The president said on Saturday that Netanyahu was 'right now in the process of negotiating a Deal with Hamas,' but did not specify further details. Andrew Tate will not face criminal prosecution after model Bri Stern claimed in March that he assaulted her during a sexual encounter at The Beverly Hills Hotel. The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office notified Tate's attorney, Joseph McBride, that the case was dropped due to lack of sufficient evidence, according to TMZ. McBride explained that Tate had responded fully to the allegations, including making himself available for questioning and supplying a 'do-not-prosecute' packet of information urging prosecutors not to pursue charges. Stern accused Tate of repeatedly choking her during sex despite her demands to stop. Text exchanges also appeared to show Tate referencing rough sexual practices. McBride characterized Stern's claims as baseless, arguing that Tate's opponents have tried to exploit the legal system against him around the world. 'My heart was beating so fast, and I was really anxious, but there was something in me that just told me, 'You need to go, run,' she tells of the alleged violent encounter. She escaped in the early morning hours after Tate said 'shut the f**k up b**ch. You will never backtalk me. You are my property,' according to her suit. Their intense affair started off 'sweet, kind, and loving' but over 10 months turned 'darker' - much darker - until it exploded and flamed out in an episode of sexual violence at the famed 'Pink Palace' on Sunset Boulevard, says Stern. 'My world was flipped upside down. I was so, so, so upset, sad, scared,' she said about that night. The model's filing claims sexual battery and harassment by Tate, 38, which lists chilling details of abuse - emotional and physical. Since going public with her claims, Stern says she has been the target of multiple death threats from fans of the kickboxer-turned-social media personality. But other friends were 'more skeptical' and warned her to 'be careful.' 'We were in constant communication,' she explains. 'He told me how much he loved me every single day. 'He also talked often about how he wanted to spend forever with me and have a family with me, and I believed him.' Eventually, though, Tate shed the facade of a caring boyfriend and Stern tells she 'started to see other sides of him.' After filing the lawsuit, she shared a post on social media that showed what appear to be records of his threats of rape and murder. She claims that the abuse that came with his change in behavior was seemingly designed to break her will. She also revealed that he told her 'you are my property' after allegedly choking her at the hotel, a claims she includes in the lawsuit. And, in another post, she shared screenshots of messages - also mentioned in the lawsuit - alleging he told her via text that 'You will give me a child this year b**ch... What's the point in having you if I don't beat and impregnate you'. She also shared screenshots of texts Tate sent her where he said he enjoyed beating her because he found it 'relaxing'. According to the complaint, Tate once wrote to her, 'You have an attitude because you're not hot enough.' Stern alleges in the filing that Tate 'began choking her while they were having sex, but it got too rough, and although she begged him to stop, he kept going.' She told that following the alleged incident, she 'had a pounding headache that was constant that I could not get to go away.' A doctor subsequently diagnosed her with 'post-concussion syndrome.' Several pictures showing Stern's bruised face were reportedly handed over to police. She reveals to that she was stunned when Tate allegedly said via text that he desired to hit her. 'I didn't talk to him for four days,' she says of the couple's first 'rift.' Furthermore, she adds, 'I was completely shocked, and I was like, what is this?' Later, Tate reached out via a video call and said, 'Pookie, I was just kidding. Ha-ha, I'm Andrew Tate. It's just a joke. I would never hurt you. I would never put my hands on you.' But, according to the BBC, prosecutors said their travel ban lifted in February after more than two years, and on February 27, they flew to Florida via private jet. On March 10, Tate spent a night at Stern's Los Angeles apartment before the horror that allegedly unfolded at the hotel the following day. Tate has amasses a cult-like following for his controversial views on women, including that they should 'bear responsibility' if they are raped. The brothers have since returned to Romania in order to comply with a Romanian court order having to do with their sex-trafficking case there. Meanwhile, his ex says, 'Physically he's a good-looking guy.' But, she now realizes 'his views' don't 'really align with women and women's rights.' And she adds, 'I really loved this person, and he told me how much he loved me every day and that we were going to finally spend every day together when he got to the US. Of the alleged incident at the hotel, Stern says afterward she was 'completely heartbroken.' 'I invested so much time, energy, emotions, love into someone that wasn't who I thought they were,' she said. 'Some red flags had gone off before, but I don't think I really had that ah-ha moment until that day. 'I trusted him explicitly. I just brushed it off as this is a joke until it became my reality.'
