Nathalie Ng confirms divorce from husband David Chan

Yahoo30-06-2025
30 June - Nathalie Ng surprised many recently by revealing that she and husband David Chan have actually called it quits on their marriage.
As reported on Epoch Times, the Miss Hong Kong alumna and former TVB actress posted an excerpt from her new book, "Reborn Through Love" on 27 June, which read, "Marriage taught me to let go and to be grateful. Even though this journey didn't have a fairy-tale ending, it was still a crucial chapter in my life, helping me understand how to love myself more and also those around me. I hope to use my story to tell you: no matter how winding your path, love is your strongest wing; it will carry you through any storm, towards your own starry sky."
"Facing, letting go, love, and gratitude can turn a crisis into a turning point, allowing you to find your own rebirth. May you bravely face and let go. May you be reborn through love and gratitude!"
In the same post, Nathalie said that there is no right or wrong here, and that she hopes people would refrain from unnecessary speculation.
"Some people are better off as friends than as spouses, so let's gracefully revert to being friends! This is not for hype, so I'm stating it once here and will not respond to it again in the future. Please understand!" she added.
Nathalie and David tied the knot in 2011 and have two daughters together, ages 10 and 8.
In August last year, she revealed that she was diagnosed with breast cancer three years prior and had since experienced a relapse and was undergoing treatment.

Anne Nolan 'emotional' at cancer update and says late sister Linda would be 'pleased'

The Nolans star has shared she is now cancer free after going through treatment with sister Linda, who died in January. What did you miss? Anne Nolan has admitted she feels "emotional" at the news she is cancer-free as her sisters Linda and Bernie had the same illness but did not survive. She said she was sure late sister Linda is "looking down and thinking, 'thank goodness'" after they went through treatment together. The Nolans singer was diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time in 2020, just a week before Linda was also told that her cancer had returned. The sisters supported each other through chemotherapy during the Covid pandemic, but Linda died in January. Anne, who also lost sister Bernie to cancer 12 years ago, told Good Morning Britain that she had been thinking of her sisters during her final check up this year, and was grateful for Linda's positive attitude during the toughest days of their treatment. What, how and why? The Nolan family have gone through many tough moments with cancer, but Anne opened up on her happy news that she was cancer free in Monday, 28 July's Good Morning Britain and said she was sure late sister Linda would be delighted for her. Speaking about her most recent diagnosis and treatment, Anne, who has had breast cancer twice, admitted that it had been a bittersweet moment finding out that her cancer was gone, as she reflected on losing two of her sisters to the same disease. "It's been very traumatic," she said. "When I received the letter that said NHS, I thought I don't want to know and I put it aside for 10 I opened it and it was good news, I had a bit of a weep. It was just everything really, I felt lucky, blessed, relieved and then emotional thinking about my sisters having gone through the same thing but not survived." Host Ed Balls told her: "(Linda) would be so pleased at your news." Anne agreed: "I'm sure she will be, I'm sure she'll be looking down and thinking, 'thank goodness'." Talking about going through cancer alongside her sister, she said: "I had breast cancer in 2000, 20 years ago. Almost to the day, I got it again in 2020. Linda received her diagnosis about a week after me and we went through it together during Covid. "Most people were on their own, but Linda and I were there to support each other. We had our chemo together, she was the one who called us the chemo sisters. She was always in a good mood, always kept me going. It was great to have her support. "Then when her cancer spread and she didn't survive, when I got my letter to say I was clear of cancer...I rang the (end of treatment) bell five years ago when I finished my chemo, but then you have another five years before you're told the cancer hasn't come back. I had a mammogram every year, my last one was in May and I did think about Linda and Bernie." What is the Nolans' history with cancer? The Nolans have been through more cancer diagnoses than most families, with many of the siblings having shared updates on their treatment over the years. Bernie died from breast cancer in 2013, and Linda died in January 2025. Linda was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and was told it had gone by 2011. In 2017, she was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer, which was contained within her hip and pelvis. In 2020, the cancer spread to her liver and three years later to her brain. She died in January after sharing regular health updates with her fans. Bernie was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010, and it then returned again in 2012. She was told that it was incurable and died less than a year later in 2013. In 2023, Coleen shared that she had been treated for skin cancer, but said that it had been successfully removed. Good Morning Britain airs on ITV1 at 6am on weekdays.

How One Artist Is Transforming an Ancient Taiwanese Folk Craft

Alemani first encountered Zhang Xu's work last year while on an art-prize jury and was struck by his craftsmanship and detail. 'It seems quite simple, but it's actually incredibly sophisticated in the making,' she tells Vogue. 'What I loved was this balance between an almost fairy-tale atmosphere and something quite ritualistic and traditional that belongs very much to his family and country.' She found it a perfect match with MOIFA: 'There is something about folk art that feels very popular in a good way, in a way that is not too detached. I wanted that to translate in this installation—something that could be approached by kids and the usual visitors but also by contemporary-art-world people. Contemporary art can create new ways of seeing the amazing collection already there.' The boundaries between folk and contemporary art have long been fluid, from 1940s Art Brut; to feminist and conceptual artists reclaiming craft, ritual, and domestic traditions in the '60s and '70s; to the present, when museums and art fairs have fully embraced folk-informed contemporary practices. Today artists from Ai Weiwei and Nick Cave to El Anatsui, Kimsooja, and Jeffrey Gibson have drawn from or engaged with folk-art traditions. For Zhang Xu, however, 'Taiwanese ceremonial crafts were never considered art in my childhood—it was part of survival.' He admits to at times longing to escape the practice—though he's found freedom creating from his vision instead of fulfilling customer requests. Funeral items are commonly prepared in advance so they can be sold the moment a client needs them. Photos: Courtesy of the artist 'What makes my relationship to these materials unique,' he observes, 'is that I don't treat them as fixed cultural symbols. They've been a part of my life for so long that I interact with them intuitively. I'm not looking at them from a distance but from lived experience.' For example, in Taiwan paper puppets are often displayed standing reverently at funerals. But in his home, where for storage they were tucked away in every available corner, 'they would often hang from the ceiling waiting to be sold, almost like bats. These everyday memories help me avoid cliché readings of tradition and instead find new ways of interpreting them.' Zhang Xu says that his father, who still works the family trade, doesn't quite understand his son's career—he criticizes his animals as not being realistic enough—but has heard friends mention his accolades. The artist has had several solo shows in Asia and participated in group exhibitions and film festivals there and in Europe; the High Line in New York screened his films earlier this year. He's also at work on a new film about water lanterns in different Asian traditions, from India to Vietnam, China, and Japan.

Jessica Alba, ‘Top Gun: Maverick' actor spend time in Cancun as she embraces single life: report

Jessica Alba appears to be enjoying her summer after filing for divorce from her estranged husband, Cash Warren. Alba, 44, sparked romance rumors after she was spotted boarding a plane headed back to Los Angeles from Cancun with "Captain America" star Danny Ramirez, TMZ reported. The outlet reported that the two spent time together in the sun-soaked town. Despite the reported quick getaway, sources told People magazine that Alba isn't dating anyone seriously, and is instead relishing in her new role as a single woman months after the "Honey" actress petitioned a Los Angeles court to end her 16-year marriage. In video obtained by TMZ, Ramirez, 32, and the "Fantastic Four" actress both attempted to go incognito by wearing snapback hats as they left Mexico for L.A. on Sunday afternoon. Upon arrival in the City of Angels, Alba and Ramirez walked closely together as they were escorted through a private terminal by a security guard. Alba and Ramirez's representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment. Ramirez portrayed Lt. Mickey "Fanboy" Garcia in "Top Gun: Maverick," and played Falcon in "Captain America: Brave New World." He'll reprise his Marvel character for "Avengers: Doomsday," which also stars Robert Downey Jr., Pedro Pascal and Chris Hemsworth. Alba has reportedly been on a few dates since announcing her split from Warren in February, insiders told People. "She's been getting a lot of attention since the divorce. She's flattered and definitely enjoying being single again," sources said. "She's gone on some dates, but it's nothing serious — she's focused on herself and her kids. She's not interested in a relationship right now." The mother-of-three is "excited" to dive back into work, and will soon begin filming "The Mark" in Australia with Orlando Bloom, who recently ended his engagement with Katy Perry. "She's in a great place. She's excited to get back to filming. She's doing what she loves and keeping her circle tight," the source told People. In January, the Honest Co. founder announced her split from Warren after 20 years together. "I've been on a journey of self realization and transformation for years – both as an individual and in partnership with Cash," she wrote on Instagram. "I'm proud of how we've grown as a couple and in our marriage over the last 20 years and it's now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals." She added, "We are moving forward with love and kindness and respect for each other and will forever be family. Our children remain our highest priority and we request privacy at this time." Alba and Warren met on the set of "Fantastic Four" in 2004 and tied the knot in 2008. In the divorce petition filed in February and obtained by Fox News Digital, the pair requested joint custody of their three children — Honor, 16; Haven, 13; and Hayes, 7.
