Missile strikes rock Israel: Ben-Gurion flights suspended

Separately, Israel's air defense systems intercepted a ballistic missile launched from Yemen toward Tel Aviv. Shrapnel from the interception damaged homes in the town of Macabim, west of Jerusalem, according to Israeli media.

Houthis' (Ansarallah) spokesperson, Yahya Saree, stated that "the missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a qualitative military operation targeting Lod Airport in the occupied area of Yaffa using a Palestine 2 hypersonic ballistic missile. "
He added that the operation successfully achieved its goal, "causing millions of herds of usurping Zionists to flee to shelters, halting airport operations, and preventing a US military cargo plane from landing at Lod Airport for the second consecutive day."

The attacks prompted alarms in nearly 300 locations, including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and parts of the occupied West Bank.
Ben-Gurion Airport temporarily suspended flights after the missile alert, while local authorities said sirens also sounded in Israel's northern and southern regions.

Al-Amiri's departure follows the June 19 resignation of nine Supreme Court judges — six permanent members and three alternates — who stepped down just before the court was scheduled to rule on the Kurdistan Region salary dispute and the maritime border agreement with Kuwait. While early reports suggested Aboud had resigned with them, judicial officials later clarified he had instead retired for medical reasons. The nominated replacement, Hussein, born in Baghdad in 1963, earned a law degree from the University of Baghdad and graduated from the Judicial Institute in 1998. He has served on the Federal Court of Cassation since 2018, currently holding roles as deputy president, head of its criminal panel, and reserve member of the Supreme Court.

IHEC: 36 electoral lists in Nineveh for Iraq vote
Shafaq News – Nineveh Thirty-six electoral lists will compete in Nineveh for Iraq's parliamentary elections on November 11, the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) announced on Sunday. Farhan al-Maamari, head of IHEC's Nineveh office, told Shafaq News that the lists include 12 single-party slates, nine coalitions, and 15 quota-based lists representing minorities. Of these, eight are for Yazidis, four for Shabak, three for Christians, and two for independent candidates. 'In total, Nineveh will see 1,040 candidates on the ballot.' Al-Maamari also urged residents to participate, stressing that IHEC is coordinating with security and public agencies to safeguard a fair and transparent election. Notably, Nineveh province has about 9.5 million registered voters and will be allocated 31 seats in Iraq's 320-member parliament, including eight reserved for women. IHEC closed candidate registration nationwide on June 26. Imad Jameel, head of IHEC's media team, told our agency that applications are now under review by security, judicial, and oversight authorities. Voter registration and data updates remain ongoing ahead of the vote.

Hamas: ceasefire conditions report completely false
On Sunday, Hamas denounced recent media claims about its alleged conditions for a ceasefire in Gaza as a 'blatant fabrication' that misrepresents its official stance and serves Israeli interests.
