Spartans extend offer to elite 2027 QB prospect
Michigan State football has extended an offer to an elite quarterback prospect in the 2027 class.
Keegan Croucher of Cheshire, Conn. announced on Wednesday that he's received an offer from Michigan State. Croucher posted on his social media network to announce the offer from the Spartans.
Croucher ranks as the No. 6 quarterback in 247Sports' rankings for the 2027 class. He is also listed as the No. 1 player from Connecticut and No. 48 overall prospect.
Croucher is listed as a four-star prospect and holds a composite rating of 95 on 247Sports. Croucher plays for Cheshire Academy, and is listed at 6-foot-3.5 and 185 pounds. According to Greg Biggins of 247Sports, Croucher also plays basketball and baseball, and is considered a "legitimate" baseball prospect as well.
Michigan State is one of nearly 10 programs to extend Croucher an offer at this time, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Syracuse and UMass.

This fall, Johnson will battle with transfer QB Gio Lopez and freshman Bryce Baker for the starting job. FSU adds FCS ooponent to 2027 schedule
The FSU Seminoles will play a new opponent in the 2027 season. According to a report from they will host the ETSU Buccaneers on Saturday, Nov. 27, in Doak Campbell Stadium. It is the third game of FSU's 2027 schedule to be revealed. The Seminoles will open the season at home against the Georgia Bulldogs on Sept. 4. They will close the season at the Florida Gators on Nov. 27. Florida State will pay ETSU $525,000 for the game, according to a contract that FBSchedules obtained. The Buccaneers are an FCS team that competes in the Southern Conference. They are led by head coach Will Healy, who is entering his first season with the program after they went 7-5 in the 2024 season. While a week has not been announced, the Seminoles will also host Duke, Georgia Tech, Miami, and Pittsburgh during the 2027 season. Their road ACC games will be at California, Clemson, North Carolina, and Syracuse.
