Sparks sizzle between EastEnders' Johnny and Callum - but a warning is issued

Metro4 days ago
EastEnders' Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) may have slammed the brakes on son-in-law Callum Highway (Tony Clay) affair with Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff), but they just can't keep away from each other next week.
The pair hooked up last month after sharing a surprise kiss during the Pride event at The Albert, which effectively ended Johnny's romance with recently departed Felix Baker (Matthew James Morrison).
Callum was wracked with guilt about sleeping with Johnny as he is still married to Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden), who is currently serving a six-year prison sentence for fraud in the States.
While that didn't stop Callum going back for more, their secret affair was soon uncovered by Ben's furious father Phil, who violently attacked Johnny.
Since then, the pair have cooled things off, with Callum insisting he is committed to waiting for Ben.
However, things begin to heat up again in forthcoming scenes as Callum flirts over text with Johnny, who is away on a cruise with his mum Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and his younger siblings.
As Callum later enjoys a girl's day with stepdaughter Lexi Pearce (Isabella Brown), who is upset following a phone call with dad Ben, Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) pales when he spots the flirty exchange on Callum's phone.
Jay warns his friend off going there again with Johnny, but will Callum listen to reason?
Last seen in March 2024, it was recently reported that actor Max Bowden is set to reprise his role as Ben for a guest stint ahead of a potential full-time return.

A source told The Sun that new EastEnders boss Ben Wadey was reportedly keen to bring the character back, revealing: 'It's taken a little while to sort out but Max will be back filming on Albert Square later this year. More Trending
'Max agreed to return for a short stint after Ben pitched his comeback storyline,' the source continued. 'But who knows what will happen? It really does depend on Max.'
Is Ben set to learn all about his husband's betrayal?

Lorraine Stanley, 45, admits she 'could barely look at herself' before weight loss and reveals she used jabs to help lose impressive 6.5 stone

Lorraine Stanley has admitted that she once 'could barely look at myself' as the revealed she used jabs to help aid her weight loss. The soap star, 45, who portrayed Karen Taylor in EastEnders from 2017 to 2024, has undergone a dramatic transformation over the past two years, shedding an impressive 6.5 stone. Last month she showcased her weight loss in a glamorous sequin and tulle gown at the Paul Strank Summer Party, held at the Royal Garden Hotel in London. Lorraine turned heads at the event in the eye-catching gown, which perfectly highlighted her slimmed-down figure. Over the last two years, the soap star has committed to a complete lifestyle overhaul - and now looks almost unrecognisable compared to her former self. And there was one powerful moment that sparked her journey. In a new interview, Lorraine revealed that while watching herself in an episode of EastEnders, she realised she 'could barely look at myself'. She told The Mirror: 'I know TV puts a stone on you, but… so yes, there was an element of vanity, but it was also me wanting to change things for my daughter and our future.' After embracing a healthier lifestyle, Lorraine also opened up about how she lost the weight. She told the publication: 'I'm not going to lie, nor am I promoting it, but I had weight loss surgery two years ago. I had a gastric sleeve. 'I went to a London clinic, paid an awful lot of money and had it done. It's hands-down the best thing I've ever done – both for me and for my family.' It comes a month after Lorraine shared an Instagram photo as she proudly showed off her slimmer frame. Posting a snap from an event, Lorraine looked gorgeous in a green and pink print co-ord. Taking to her Instagram story, she also revealed a new milestone in her lifestyle overhaul. She told fans: 'I'm five months sober and still had a good night dancing! #Sobriety.' Lorraine's former co-stars rushed to the comments to praise the actress, with Diane Parish, who plays Denise in EastEnders, writing: 'You look incredible!' Martin Fowler actor James Bye agreed, gushing in the comments: 'Look at you skinny minny xx miss you mate xx' Lorraine has shared pictures with her social media followers along the way - and revealed she now feels better than ever. On Instagram at the time, she said: 'What a difference a year makes. 'Five stone down, feeling good, clean living, healthy choices, new me, healthy mummy.' The actress - who lost 12lbs in her first six weeks on the new diet - frequently praised her pal and fitness guru Louise. She also praises her nutritionist friend who 'clued her up when it came to what she was eating day-to-day'. Her gruelling daily workouts and a well-balanced food regime had a positive impact in Lorraine's life, who said of her journey: 'I'm enjoying it and I feel better for it.' Spilling her diet hacks while chatting to Woman's Own magazine, Lorraine said: 'My mate Louise is my fitness guru. I've got her to thank for it.' The actress recalled: 'I've eaten a lot of boiled eggs, fish, chicken, no carbs, no crisps and no chocolate.'

Emmerdale legend comes to Dylan's rescue - and he has a lot of explaining to do

Dylan Penders' (Fred Kettle) return to Emmerdale has been less than ideal for the lad – instead of getting himself clean in rehab as intended, he's returned as one of drug lord Ray's (Joe Absolom) lackies. He's immediately found himself in a life-threatening situation too – having been stabbed in the leg by Kyle (Huey Quinn) with a dirty pitchfork as he attempted to do over one of Moira's (Natalie J Robb) barns. Now that wound is infected and Dylan can't ask for any help. When pushed by April (Amelia Flanagan), he refuses to see a doctor, instead choosing to hide out at the Cricket Pavillion. As a doctor won't work, he and April concoct a dodgy plan B – to raid the vets for supplies and fix him themselves. Because who needs six years of a medical degree when you can watch how to sort a deadly wound on YouTube? They sneak into the surgery to get their supplies when they're caught red handed – by Paddy (Dominic Brunt). Thankfully, Paddy is in his good Samaritan mode and, shocked by the state of Dylan, sets to work sorting the wound. He then offers Dylan a bed for the night. But he's getting himself involved in something serious, risking his registration to help the homeless lad. And worse, he risks the wrath of Mandy (Lisa Riley) and Marlon (Mark Charnock) when they arrive. They've all got such faith in Dylan and have no idea the dark circles he's now mixing with. Later, Ray tells Dylan that he's got more work from him and when Mandy is busy, Dylan reveals a stash of drugs in his backpack. The next morning, while eating breakfast with Paddy, Dylan ignores Ray's texts, a dangerous move. In the Woolpack Paddy, Rhona (Zoe Henry), and Marlon discover that Dylan was the one stabbed by Kyle, and it puts a whole new spin on things. Now Paddy and Marlon have a new problem on their hands as they must work on Rhona to stop her telling Moira that Dylan was the one in the barn. More Trending Dylan shakes off April to do the drugs drop, which he plans to be his last as he tells Ray no to the next job on offer. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? A bold move, and one that is strangely well received. It's a fair assumption to think Ray might be a bit miffed at Dylan's gall, but Ray seems to take it well. Or does he? The fact he's later seen spying on Dylan and April walking through the village would suggest not. View More » It seems instead he's plotting something, and it involves April too. But what?
