In a major moment for regional music fans, Tamer Hosny and Al Shami are set to perform together for the first time ever at Coca-Cola Arena on May 31st, 2025.
Presented by Live Nation Middle East, the show brings together two of the Arab world's most influential voices. Egyptian star Tamer Hosny—whose hits like "Awelny Kalam" and "Kol Marra" have become pop mainstays—returns to Dubai with his signature energy and genre-blending style that fuses pop, rock, and Egyptian folk.
He'll be joined by Syrian artist Al Shami, known for his emotive performances and widely loved tracks including "Sabran" and "Ya Leil W Yal Ein". With his soulful vocals and heartfelt lyrics, Al Shami has built a loyal following across the region.
While both artists have graced the Coca-Cola Arena stage in previous solo performances, this marks the first time they'll appear together—offering fans a rare chance to see two powerhouse acts in one night.

Headed by Mostafa Kamel, Egypt's Musicians Syndicate plans to hold a special memorial for a young shaabi singer who died suddenly last Wednesday at the age of 42. Amer, a most promising talent in the Egyptian shaabi music scene, died after suffering a sudden health crisis following his performance at an event in Mansoura. According to the media, he was en route to his home in Cairo when his condition worsened. He was taken to a nearby hospital but died upon arrival, reportedly from a heart attack. In an official statement by the Musicians Syndicate, Kamel stated that the late singer was a model of integrity, professionalism, and kindness. "The Syndicate will always take pride in its members who are known for their good character and honourable legacy. Ahmed Amer was one of the distinguished examples we are proud of, and he will be deeply missed by the artistic and humanitarian community alike," Kamel said, lamenting the late singer. He added that the Syndicate will hold the memorial in recognition of his value, his standing, and the positive impact he left in the hearts of his colleagues and admirers. The memorial details have not been provided yet. Born in Samanoud in Gharbia Governorate, Amer began singing at a young age, often performing covers of old songs, especially those by Medhat Saleh. He later moved on to singing at local wedding celebrations and began composing songs, leaning towards shaabi and mahraganat genres. During his musical career, Amer's repertoire amassed several hits, including Maba'etsh Mestaghrab, El Kol Khab, and Soheba B-Million Wish, among others. From Angham to Wegz: Six weeks of stars in third New Alamein Festival
The third edition of the New Alamein Festival, scheduled to take place over six weeks between 18 July and 29 August, features the biggest stars from Egypt and the Arab world. This year's festivities will be held in the U-ARENA, a vibrant new venue located in the heritage district of New Al-Alamein City designed to accommodate thousands of visitors and serve as a hub for music and cultural events. The festival will feature a stellar lineup of top artists from Egypt and the Arab world, including Amr Diab, Angham, Assala Nasri, Tamer Hosny, Tamer Ashour, Marwan Pablo, Lege-Cy, Wegz, Cairokee, and others. Some of the artists are returning, having performed in the festival's second edition (2024), while others will perform in Al-Alamein for the first time. Besides concerts, the festival offers a variety of artistic, sports, entertainment, and culinary events. Last year's New Alamein Festival highlights included Mohamed Mounir, Kadim Al-Sahir, Tamer Hosny, Hany Shaker, Omar Khairat, Hamza Namira, Massar Egbari, Souad Massi, Wegz, Cairokee, Folklorita, and others. The festival also staged several theatre performances, some of which were exclusively performed for Al-Alamein audiences. The plays, performed by a group of Egypt's top actors, included El-Setat Ayza Eih (What Do Women Want), Al-Shuhra (Fame), Al-Televizyon (Television), Bulaq Rouge, and Amloha Ezay (How Did They Do It). Last year's edition attracted visitors from over 104 nationalities, as well as a wide range of public figures, officials, and diplomats from across the Arab world and beyond. The previous edition aimed to draw 2 million visitors and tourists, and was praised for its diverse mix of musical, cultural, and sports events. Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly lauded the festival's role in showcasing the rapid development of New Al-Alamein and its growing importance in boosting tourism and promoting Egypt globally. New Al-Alamein is one of Egypt's fastest-growing tourist cities, thanks to its strategic location on the Mediterranean coast and its massive urban development in recent years.
