After winning the Nedbank Cup against Orlando Pirates, ending a ten-year trophy in the process, the Tunisian tactician stated that AmaKhosi must allow him to sign more talent if they want him to stay next season.
One striker on their radar is Nigeria's Etiosa Ighodaro, however, it appears the deal is far from complete.
'There's been a lot of talk about Ighodaro joining Chiefs, but the reports suggesting he has signed are inaccurate,' an insider revealed. 'He is still assessing his options both locally and abroad. Nothing has been concluded.

Kaizer Chiefs set to extend contract of 34-year-old star
Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly looking to extend Gaston Sirino's stay at the club. The 34-year-old Uruguayan joined Amakhosi last season as a free agent after parting ways with Mamelodi Sundowns. He had a decent campaign with Chiefs and it is believed the management are happy with his contributions to the club. Soccer Laduma reported that the Soweto giants were willing to keep the hard working attacker until 2027.
