Man arrested after allegedly committing indecent acts on Lakeshore West GO trains
A 41-year-old man wanted after allegedly committing indecent acts on Lakeshore West GO trains has been arrested.
Halton Regional Police said the suspect was arrested early Tuesday morning as he was getting off a train at West Harbour GO station in Hamilton.
Police have been looking for him since issuing a news release last month detailing the alleged incidents.
They said the first one happened on the evening of May 7 on board the Lakeshore West train heading to Hamilton. The suspect continuously masturbated over his shorts while staring at a female passenger, police allege.
The second incident occurred on the evening of May 10 on board another Lakeshore West train to Aldershot GO. Police allege the same man exposed his genitals to a female passenger and masturbated in her presence.
Police released a photo of the suspect on May 21. Since then, investigators said they received two additional reports involving the same suspect that occurred on May 8 and 12.
'The occurrences were similar in nature and took place on the Lakeshore West GO train in the late evening and involved female victims,' police said in a news release.
The suspect has been identified as Jonathan Gordon from Hamilton. He has been charged with four counts of an indecent act.
Police said they believe there may be more victims and are asking anyone with information to call 905-825-4777 ext. 2216 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.

Driver charged after fleeing from Toronto police, hitting parked cars

In a release, police said officers responded to reports of a person with a gun just before 1:30 a.m. in the area of King Street West and Portland Street on July 26. The suspect was driving a silver Volkswagen and allegedly pointed a gun at someone near the intersection, according to police. When officers found the vehicle, they ordered the driver to turn off the vehicle and step out, but they said he did not comply. Instead, police said the driver reversed the car and struck a scooter and a vehicle on the road, before turning into an alleyway and hitting another parked car. Officers followed the vehicle and were able to arrest the driver a short time later. Mrunmay Ukey, 27, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with fail to stop for police and dangerous operation. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in September.

N.B. RCMP conclude search for missing kayaker
It's been more than 72 hours since a kayaker in New Brunswick was last seen. Luc Bourgeois, 34, was last spotted on Thursday, July 24 between 1 and 2 p.m. in the Shediac area. At the time, it was reported he had left to go kayaking from the wharf in Pointe-du-Chene, but did not return. On Sunday, Shediac RCMP said officers are continuing to seek help from the public to locate Bourgeois. 'The RCMP Underwater Recovery Team and Ground Search and Rescue teams have been searching tirelessly the last couple of days and have covered a lot of area with no success,' said Cpl. Mathieu Daigle in a news release. 'At this time, these teams have concluded their searches but will continue to follow up on any leads we may receive.' 'We're hopeful' Family members of Bourgeois contacted the Canadian Coast Guard on Thursday around 3 p.m., saying he went out in a yellow kayak but did not return. On Friday, Bourgeois' cousin Chloe Allain told CTV News his kayak and life jacket were found near Caissie-Cape sometime Thursday. His phone was also found, but his fishing gear and sandals were still missing at the time. A Facebook page called 'Bring Luc Home' has been created, with people sharing the latest on search efforts. By Friday around 6 p.m., the organization had five teams still searching for Bourgeois, including the use of three boats. Man sentenced for robbing same CIBC branch twice
A man was sentenced Friday for robbing the same branch of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in downtown Lethbridge twice in two months. A Lethbridge man convicted of robbing the same bank twice in two months is serving federal prison time.
