Next State Cabinet meet to discuss Maoists' issue
The members of the 'Peace Talks Committee' on Sunday called on the Chief Minister at his Jubilee Hills residence. The CM told the Committee members that his government was looking at Naxalism from a social perspective only and does not consider it as a law and order issue. He also informed the committee that the government will seek advice and suggestions from senior leader and former Home Minister K Jana Reddy, who held talks with Maoists in the past, on Naxal issues. 'Our government is looking at Naxalism from a social perspective. I explained to them that it is our government's policy not to consider it as a matter of law and order. I told them that I would take the advice and suggestions of Jana Reddy, a senior leader who has held talks with the Naxalites in the past. I assured them that I would discuss the matter with the ministers and make a decision,' Revanth Reddy posted on X platform.
The committee appealed to the Chief Minister to take initiative to hold peace talks between the Union Government and Maoists. The committee also requested the CM to convince the Centre for a ceasefire. Committee Convener Justice Chandrakumar, Professor Haragopal, Professor Anwar Khan, Durga Prasad, Jampanna, Ravi Chander submitted a memorandum to CM.

Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah's strategic stewardship, India has undergone a seismic shift in its approach to internal security, confronting entrenched challenges head-on and fostering a safer, more cohesive nation. From the bold abrogation of Article 370 to the near-eradication of Naxalism, the introduction of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and robust anti-terror measures, their policies have reshaped India's security landscape. This article weaves together their key achievements, grounded in data and statistics, to showcase how their vision has fortified India's internal resilience. Efforts to strengthen the 4,096-km India-Bangladesh border have focused on curbing illegal activities through enhanced surveillance. Hyderabad: With local body elections approaching and the Kaleswaram Commission report casting a shadow over the BRS, the BJP has launched a fresh political offensive, 'Operation Akarsh,' aimed at drawing disgruntled BRS leaders into its fold. The first visible shift came on Monday, when former MLA Guvvala Balaraju resigned from the BRS. According to party insiders, several influential leaders from Khammam and Nalgonda districts are now in talks with BJP functionaries and are likely to switch sides soon. The BJP, which has historically underperformed in these districts, sees this as a crucial opportunity to strengthen its base. The timing is key.
