Jessica Alba Is 'Keeping Things Low-Key' With Danny Ramirez

Cosmopolitan17-07-2025
After they were spotted returning from a vacation in Cancún, a source has confirmed that Jessica Alba and Danny Ramirez are 'casually' dating.
'They were friends before it turned romantic,' an insider told Us Weekly on July 16, clarifying that Jessica 'is still keeping things casual.'
According to the source, the pair 'have a lot of mutual friends,' including Jessica's longtime friend and fellow powerhouse Latina, Eva Longoria. 'They run in the same social circle, and that is how they were connected,' the source shared, explaining that Jessica and Danny 'have been keeping things low-key for the last month.'
They added that Jessica 'isn't interested' in bringing Danny around her three children, Honor, Haven, and Hayes, who she shares with her ex-husband, Cash Warren. 'She is having a lot of fun in this new era. It's not serious, but she is enjoying time with him,' the source dished.
A separate insider opened up about Jessica's single era with the Daily Mail, saying, 'Being single has been up and down for Jessica... But divorce was the only option, and now that she has been able to be out with friends and go on some dates, it has been eye opening.'
Her casual romance with the Captain America: Brave New World actor seems promising to the source. Per the insider, Danny is 'cool, a nice guy, and he is enamored with her, but it is not exclusive. She's not in that frame of mind. He has a chance to make something out of their connection, but she is taking it all in stride. Right now, she's looking to just have fun.'
They also spoke on recent romance rumors between Jessica and Orlando Bloom, her co-star for the upcoming thriller, The Mark, who's also going through a recent breakup with Katy Perry.
'She's shooting right now with Orlando Bloom,' said the source. 'And before anyone asks, there aren't any sparks between them. It is strictly professional—at least for now.'

Blake Lively accuses Justin Baldoni of leaking details of her deposition, including what she wore, to create ‘a media circus'

Blake Livey has accused Justin Baldoni of 'creating a media circus' by leaking details from her closed-door deposition last week in their ongoing legal saga. Lively, 37, was questioned under oath by the attorneys of her 'It Ends With Us' co-star-turned-rival on Thursday — the details of which were 'immediately' leaked, according to a letter her lawyers filed Monday. 3 Blake Lively claimed Justin Baldoni leaked details from inside his lawyers' deposition of her. REUTERS The deposition started at 10:13 a.m. that morning — and by 10:15 a.m. TMZ published its story revealing Baldoni attended the grilling of the 'Gossip Girl' actress, Lively's lawyers claimed. 3 Lively and Baldoni have been locked in a bitter legal dispute for months since she accused him of sexually harassing her on the set of 'It Ends With Us.' Christopher Peterson / 'Consistent with their goal of creating a media circus around Ms. Lively's deposition, it also appears that the Wayfarer Defendants immediately leaked details from the deposition to the tabloid media,' Lively said of Baldoni's side, which includes the production company of 'It Ends With Us,' Wayfarer Studios LLC. The leaks continued the next day, including 'in detail Ms. Lively's attire for the deposition' and who accompanied her to the meeting, Lively's lawyers claimed. This was to 'misleadingly' create a narrative that Lively 'needed a large contingent of people with her to testify' while suggesting Baldoni was only accompanied by one lawyer, she alleged. The Daily Mail published a story the day after noting Lively was with her older half sister Robyn and her 'Deadpool' actor husband Ryan Reynolds when she walked into the building wearing black jeans and jacket and a light blue cardigan. The two weren't in the room with her, however, when she was under oath during the day-long session that her eight lawyers also attended, the outlet reported. 'The reality is' Baldoni and the other defendants had an army of 13 lawyers there with them, the Manhattan federal court papers claimed. 3 Baldoni's side told the media that he was present for her questioning and other details from the day, Lively's lawyers claimed. ©Sony Pictures/Courtesy Everett Collection Depositions often take place at the law firms of the parties involved and are not open to the public — unlike most court proceedings. While Baldoni asked that the deposition take place at his lawyers' office, Lively won a protective order allowing her to be questioned at a location of her choosing. She was questioned at her attorneys' office on 7th Avenue, the Daily Mail reported. Lively's lawyers claim that a day after the deposition, Baldoni's side posted the 292-page rough draft version of the transcript under seal for a week. Lively's team will have to file a motion to keep it under seal indefinitely. Baldoni's lawyers 'hope to make Ms. Lively defend the continued sealing of the transcript so they can advance a false narrative that Ms. Lively is afraid of her deposition testimony becoming public, which is entirely untrue and deeply harmful.' Deposition transcripts normally remain under seal unless arguments are made for them to be unsealed for legal reasons. Portions of deposition transcripts can also come out during trials. Lively's lawyers argued that the transcript should be erased from the record for now. Lively launched a $250 million lawsuit against Baldoni and others claiming he sexually harassed her on the set of the 2024 movie, which he directed and co-starred in. She alleged that things got so bad during filming that there was a tense sit-down where she and Reynolds demanded he refrain from showing her nude videos and photos of women and that he stop talking to Lively about his prior addiction to porn and his sexual conquests. Lively claimed that Baldoni's team then went on a smear campaign about her which hurt her businesses and her family, the suit alleged. Baldoni — who was on the TV show 'Jane the Virgin' — then countersued for $400 million for extortion and defamation against Lively and Reynolds. Manhattan federal Judge Lewis Liman dismissed Baldoni's claims in June. Lawyers on both sides didn't immediately return requests for comment Monday afternoon.

What Is Fort Belvedere? Tour Will and Kate's New Home

Welp, Kate Middleton and Prince William are potentially moving to yet another new home after just two years spent in Adelaide Cottage. Despite rumors that they might relocate to The Royal Lodge, the pair apparently have their eye on Fort Belvedere. Which is less of a "fort" and more of a castle—complete with its own pool, multiple extra cottages, and a ton of interesting history. Here's everything we know about the stately home, and why King Charles is "fuming" about William and Kate's plans to move in. The historic 18th century home (which means "beautiful view" in Italian) sits on 59 acres and has a slew of amenities—including (per the Daily Mail) a tennis court, a rose garden, a greenhouse, multiple lakes, paddocks, and stables. It used to be called "Shrubs Hill Tower" due to being located in Shrubs Hill within Great Windsor Park, and was originally a folly (a decorative building) when built in 1750 before being reconstructed into a home in the early 1800s. Here's a glimpse at the inside! Because naturally one needs an entire mini castle to take tea in! Anyway, after Victoria was done with it, the fort opened to the public—before going private again in 1910 when it was used by Sir Malcolm Murray as a "grace and favor residence" (the term for homes owned by the monarch and lent to their friends rent-free). Fort Belvedere is most famous for being the home of Edward VIII before he abdicated the throne—changing the course of history not to mention the entire line of succession. He's the one who made the home much fancier, adding a swimming pool and tennis courts, and doing other major renovations to the grounds and building. He was forced to give up the home post-abdication despite being enormously attached to it. After Edward left England (his abdication papers were literally signed at Fort Belvedere in 1936), the mansion was leased to—and renovated by—various royal-adjacent families. Aptly, for a show called Edward & Mrs. Simpson, about Edward and Wallis Simpson. Well, adjacent to them. Apparently Fort Belvedere has three cottages on property, which Royal expert Jennie Bond tells The Mirror "could be useful for staff or protection officers." According to a Daily Mail source, William and Kate "feel they have outgrown Adelaide Cottage and need somewhere more substantial. This is the perfect new home for them. It has a swimming pool and tennis court, and Charlotte loves playing tennis." Meanwhile, Bond says "Whatever they decide, William and Catherine will have their children's happiness at heart. For them, preserving a relaxed, cosy family life - as close to some sort of normality as possible given their status—is a top priority." According to Rob Shutter's #shutterscoop (via Yahoo!), King Charles is "fuming" over the cost of William and Kate moving to Fort Belvedere. Per a palace source, "It'll take millions to renovate. Charles sees it as an unnecessary extravagance." Hmmm, guess we'll see what happens!

Brooding ‘black cat' boyfriends have pushed aside ‘golden retriever' heartthrobs: ‘He's not perfect, but he's real'

Say goodbye to the 'golden retriever' boyfriend — and hello to the 'black cat.' For years, there's been a lot of love for the former — doe-eyed boys who romance their partners with lovey-dovey sentiments and a cheerful energy. Those men possess similar qualities to a golden retriever: sweet, gentle, affectionate, eager to please and even easy to train. Sometimes they also share some physical attributes with the breed: an adorable smile, big brown eyes and golden hair. 4 The golden retriever boyfriend romances partners with sweet sentiments. JordaanExams/ – Now, people are pining after 'black cat boyfriends' — the quiet, mysterious, brooding and complicated guy. Black cats are not ones to make big romantic gestures, but despite their detached exterior, they're emotional underneath and feel things very deeply. Take it from the character everyone is rooting for in Jenny Han's 'The Summer I Turned Pretty.' Conrad Fisher, portrayed by Christopher Brinley, is the brooding older brother who's hard to read, ultimately resulting in his heartbreak. Conrad is Belly's (Lola Tung) first love, but his emotional unavailability led her to date his brother, Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), the irresponsible frat bro. But fans online are still rooting for Conrad, seeing from the outside that he pulled away due to his big emotions. In Lena Dunham's new show 'Too Much,' Will Sharpe's Felix was an instant heartthrob, an enigmatic character with a ragged denim jacket and messy black hair that Jess (played by 'Hacks' actor Meg Stalter) sees performing at a London dive bar. He doesn't dote over her at all; he simply wins Jess over with his charm before showing any emotion. 4 People are pining after 'black cat boyfriends' — quiet, mysterious, brooding and complicated guys. pablo – 'This shift isn't just about characters being darker or moodier,' PR expert Chad Teixeira told the Daily Mail. 'It reflects a larger generational shift in how people understand relationships, emotional growth, and vulnerability. 'Gen Z, more than previous generations, tend to value emotional realism over idealism,' he added. 'The black cat boyfriend complicates the traditional romantic arc. He's not perfect, but he's real.' The hit Netflix show 'Ginny and Georgia' shows this, too. Ginny (Antonia Gentry) tries to date the sweet, popular boy but doesn't feel any connection. She inevitably falls for her troubled and perplexing bad-boy neighbor, Marcus (Felix Mallard). As the series goes on, Marcus starts to unveil his emotional and sensitive side, which has viewers rooting for the two to end up together. 4 Despite their detached exterior, black cats are emotional underneath and feel things very deeply. graziella – And this kind of boyfriend archetype isn't new to pop culture — think Jess Mariano in 'Gilmore Girls,' Chuck Bass in 'Gossip Girl,' Angel in 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer,' Lucas Scott in 'One Tree Hill,' or even Carmy in Emmy-winning 'The Bear.' People have long been swooning over the black cat beau, and it's their mysterious nature that makes them irresistible. 'There's a desire to get beyond the mystery and see what lies within,' psychotherapist Amy Morin told USA Today. 'We might think they'd be willing to be vulnerable if they were in a trusting, healthy relationship. We want to see the walls come down so we can learn more about how they really feel.' 4 People have long been swooning over the black cat boyfriend, and it's their mysterious nature that makes them irresistible. ajr_images – Having those walls come down is important for young boys and men to understand emotional intelligence, which can ultimately lead to long-lasting and strong relationships as well as mental wellness in general. 'It's breaking the masculine code, stepping out of the man box, and saying, 'Yeah, I'm vulnerable,'' Ronald Levant, a professor emeritus of psychology at the University of Akron and co-author of 'The Problem with Men: Insights on Overcoming a Traumatic Childhood from a World-Renowned Psychologist,' told the outlet. And while sometimes the so-called 'bad boy' can eventually soften — even Chuck and Blair got married on 'Gossip Girl' — Morin warned that there is a 'danger to romanticizing emotionally unavailable men. 'There may be a desire to fix them or help them so that they can grow closer and become more trusting. But, in reality, they might prefer avoidance,' she explained. 'So, while it sounds intriguing to pursue a mysterious man, he just might not be emotionally available. And it's not your job to draw it out of him or change him.'
