‘More than anything' – Emotional Jack Grealish spotted pouring heart out to beloved Man City fans after Oasis gig

The Sun2 days ago
JACK GREALISH told Man City fans that he loves the club "more than anything" as he poured his heart out to supporters at Oasis' return gig in Manchester.
Grealish, 29, was emotional as he opened up about his love for the club amid speculation of an exit from the Etihad this summer.

The winger, who joined City for £100m in 2021, looks destined for the exit doors after falling out of favour under Pep Guardiola last season and being dropped from the squad for their summer exploits at the Fifa Club World Cup.
As rumours continue to swirl around where his future might lie, Grealish ensured he enjoyed what is left of his summer break before pre-season by attending Oasis ' hometown gig at Heaton Park.
Following the gig, Grealish stopped for a chat with a fan wearing a Man City shirt - confessing his love for the club and its supporters.
He said: "You know what? Bro, I love City more than anything.
"And do you know what I love more than anything? City fans. They're the best fans in the world".
The man who will have the final say on his future, Guardiola, was also enjoying himself in Heaton Park.
The City manager was seen belting out Don't Look Back In Anger alongside his daughter Maria as Noel and Liam Gallagher honoured him with a cardboard cutout on stage and dedicated their performance of of D'You Know What I Mean to the Spaniard.
Guardiola even hung out with the Gallagher family backstage as he posed of a picture alongside Noel's sons Donovan and Sonny, Liam's daughter Anais and Liam's boys Gene and Lennon.

Guardiola will have to make some tough decisions about his squad when he returns from his extended break after the Club World Cup, with Grealish's future high on the to-do list for the City gaffer.
Reports earlier this month suggested that City would be willing to sell the 39-time England international for around £40m, a significant loss on the £100m they splashed out to lure him away from Aston Villa.

Grealish has been criticised for off-field antics during his struggles at City, but Guardiola has insisted that he didn't leave him out of the Club World Cup squad as a result of those problems.
He said: "The only reason he didn't play minutes was me, not because he was incorrect or whatever.
"I want the best for Jack, his partner, his kids, his family.
"I don't know what's going to happen right now or have any doubts about the qualities of Jack. The quality has always been there, the year of the treble would have been impossible."
Grealish started just seven Premier League games last season and across his 32 cameos in all competitions he only managed three goals.
Tottenham, Newcastle and Serie A champions Napoli are all reportedly monitoring the his situation.
However, SunSport reported that Grealish's £300,000-a-week wages complicate a move.
Grealish's current terms at the Etihad run until 2027.

A basic brick, a brain-teaser and a stylish doll crowned best ever toys by Hamleys - but what's YOUR favourite?

Both have provided hours of entertainment for children across the world. One is the simplest toy, the other a fiendish puzzle. Alongside the Barbie doll, Lego bricks and the Rubik's Cube are among the best toys of all time, according to Hamleys. The toy store made a 'hero' list with the help of industry buyers to mark its 265th birthday and included toys that had cultural impact, enduring popularity and historical significance. It said Lego – released in 1958 – is 'timeless, creative, and a global phenomenon', noting it has inspired films and theme parks. More than 500 million Rubik's Cubes have been sold since 1974, making it the world's best-selling puzzle toy. And it said more than one billion Barbie dolls had been sold since its release in 1959, making it a 'pop culture icon' across the decades. Monopoly, the Tamagotchi virtual pet, the Nintendo Game Boy and the Furby also made the list. Hamleys added that 'eternal classics' such as the hula hoop, spinning tops and marbles are still bought today, despite them being among the first toys sold when William Hamley opened the store doors in 1760. Victoria Kay, head buyer at Hamleys, said: 'Once you start looking at this, it turns rapidly into a nostalgia-fest - even for toys from four or five years ago. 'My personal favourites are Sindy doll - I was always a Sindy girl as she was a cool British icon. 'I also adored Glo Worm, even though I was maybe a bit old for it and Simon felt like properly, cutting edge, advanced technology when it came out - it was literally the soundtrack of Christmas in the 80s.' Senior Hamleys buyer Karen Dennett said she particularly remembered toys where stocks were under severe pressure due to unforeseen demand and unusually had to be restricted to one per customer. She said: 'It was mayhem at times with toys like the Frozen Singing 'Let it Go' Doll - we were getting them rush air freighted in to try to satisfy demand. 'I remember me and my brother both getting a Rubik's Cube for Christmas. He solved it super quick, but I was nowhere near solving it, so I remember peeling the coloured stickers off to allow me to look like I had managed it.' Ms Kay said it was difficult to determine what made a toy popular, but said: 'You can never underestimate the power of togetherness created around some of the big-sellers - those toys that bring people of all ages together - get families around a table talking, playing, challenging, maybe even cheating. Monopoly would be nothing without the competitive family battles that emerge. 'We also mustn't forget that simplicity is often key - the joy of cuddling a doll or storytelling with an action figure or a superfast Hot Wheel car. 'Combined with a good dose of jeopardy and you have something truly memorable - think Operation or Kerplunk, Jenga or Buckaroo - they are so simple. 'I used to panic trying to balance the boot in Mousetrap and be terrified of the noise Operation would make when I got it wrong or just burst with panicky laughter when the Jenga tower finally wobbled and collapsed. Toys like that will last forever.' HAMLEYS CHILDHOOD FAVOURITES 1. Lego (1958) 2. Rubik's Cube (1974) 3. Barbie (1959) 4. Monopoly (1935) 5. Tamagotchi (1996) 6. Furby (1998) 7. Love Island viewers left 'sick to their stomachs' as Emma asks ex Harry to 'sniff her armpits' because he 'likes the smell' in VERY bizarre exchange

Love Island viewers were left 'sick to their stomachs' after Emma Munro asked ex Harry Cooksley to sniff her armpits during Monday's show. Following the fall out from Casa Amor the busty bombshell, 30, and footballer, also 30, chatted about the 'dangerous' depth of their one time relationship around the fire pit. During their flirty exchange Emma offered Harry to take a whiff of her pits saying that she knew he 'liked the smell'. Lifting her arm she said: 'Do you want a sniff?' to which he replied: 'You know I do'. Emma the quipped: 'I know you liked to smell them' as the pair giggled before Harry confessed: 'That took everything not to everything not to sniff your armpit there, it took all of me'. Racing to X following the bizarre exchange fans fumed: 'Armpit sniffing... Harry has officially reached a new low': 'Emma and Harry talking about how badly he wants to sniff her armpit on national TV I'm sick to my stomach': 'WHAT IS GOING ON?! Harry talking about how he really struggled to not sniff her armpit... one of the strangest things I've ever watched''. 'Lool She's asking Harry to sniff her pits? WTF is going on please?': 'Harry is a freak! Armpit sniffing weirdo': 'The armpit sniffing... get both of them out of here I beg'. Later in the episode the villa was rocked by a shock dumping as two islanders were sent packing. Andrada Pop and Ben Holbrough were dumped from the villa after being voted the least compatible couple by the public. Reading out the message from producers, Shakira said: 'Islanders, the public have been voting for the most compatible couple.' Meg then announced: 'The couple with the fewest votes and therefore have been dumped from the Island is... Andrada and Ben' The news left the villa shocked as Meg cried out: 'What? Now?!' In another brutal move, the islanders then received a second text confirming there would be a second dumping. Shakira Khan and Ty Isherwood were voted the most compatible couple in the villa, leaving them least at risk to be dumped. As the most compatible couple, Shakira and Ty will have to choose another couple to be dumped - which will be revealed in Tuesday night's episode. Racing to X following the bizarre exchange fans fumed: 'Armpit sniffing... Harry has officially reached a new low': 'Emma and Harry talking about how badly he wants to sniff her armpit on national TV I'm sick to my stomach' Those at risk of being dumped include Tommy Bradley and Lucy Quinn, Lauren Wood and Harrison, Conor Phillips and Emma Munro. Before the elimination, Emma revealed what it's like living with Harry as she confessed they 'love' each other. In a conversation with Andrada at the firepit, she explained: 'I just think it's so hard because we love each other, right? 'That's a really deep kind of love but we're both like "no, we know it doesn't work".' She continued: 'I don't think there's any point in trying again… 'But I think it's hard for him when I'm here. He can compare… We were supposed to be endgame. 'I think if I was to say to Harry "let's give it another go" he would be definitely open to it.' As Andrada listened intently, she probed Emma on whether she wants to give it another go with Harry. Torn, she replied: 'I don't think I can. I can't.' Love Island's Yasmin Pettet's twin sister Zara has sent ITV viewers into a frenzy as she recreated some of her sibling's most memorable one liners. The reality star, 24, has stirred trouble in the villa as one of the most iconic bombshells with her savage catchphrases. And now that she has become a fan favourite, her sister has taken to her TikTok to share a montage of her mimicking some of her best moments. In a clip posted to social media, she recreated the moment when the Islander told Harry to 'shut the f*** up and kiss her' in the Hideaway. She then continued by recreating the moment when Yasmin slammed Ben during a heated row as she delivered this line: 'Waste my money, waste whatever, don't f***ing waste my time.' And the clip was welcomed by fans of Yasmin as they flocked to the comments sharing their surprise between their similarities. Ella Toone will make England their best playing in the No 10. role on the pitch just as her infectious personality helps them off it, writes TARA ANSON-WALSH

She might be small in stature, but England 's No 10 Ella Toone packs a serious punch. Standing at just 5ft 4in, Toone is a fan-favourite, not just for her creativity on the pitch but for her infectious personality off it. There's been a running joke in the Lionesses camp ever since the last World Cup where the Mancunian midfielder can't resist flexing her biceps whenever the cameras land on her in training at the gym – much to the amusement of her teammates. That sums her up. The 25-year-old who burst onto the scene alongside best friend Alessia Russo at Euro 2022 as Sarina Wiegman 's super sub duo is never afraid to have a laugh. When she is around Russo in particular, the two barely go a minute without cracking a joke. Their families are close, too. Back when Toone and Russo were still coming through England's youth academies, their parents would travel together, exploring new cities, trying local restaurants, and cheering from the sidelines as their daughters climbed toward the biggest stage of all. Toone and Russo's telepathic relationship off the pitch transfers seamlessly on to it. Once the whistle blows, their focus is absolute. Manchester United manager Marc Skinner has often remarked that there is no one more passionate in his squad than his brightest star, Toone. She's consistently the last to leave training, and Skinner has admitted he sometimes has to rein her in when she's too hard on herself after a defeat. Ever since Toone was introduced late in England's opening defeat to France, the reigning European champions have looked transformed – sharper, more cohesive, and far more threatening. England's dismantling of Wales on Sunday night was the perfect representation of the Russo-Toone axis in full swing. Toone's goal, England's second, came after Russo chased down a loose ball which had been fumbled by Wales goalkeeper Olivia Clark. The England striker didn't even look up, just poked the ball to the place where she knew Toone would be arriving. Toone's initial shot was initially blocked, but she made no mistake with the second, doubling England's lead after 20 minutes. Then Toone returned the favour 20 minutes later, cutting the ball back from the byline towards Russo on the edge of the six-yard box. Russo was able to take a touch before picking out her spot, sweeping it past Clark to bring England's total up to four on the night. Sandwiched between those moments was another Toone contribution – a pinpoint cross from near the corner flag, finding Lauren Hemp's head at the back post. Toone was everywhere against Wales. Her heatmap told the story of a relentless first half. Buzzing between the boxes, driving England's attack and putting in a tireless shift off the ball. It was also a historic 45 minutes, with Toone becoming the first player on record to score a goal, assist a goal, and complete 100 per cent of her passes in a women's Euros match. 'I just wish I could have played a little bit more,' was the summary given by the elated midfielder after the match. 'They're the games I find really difficult,' Toone added. 'As a number 10 you want the space. When a team sits in a really deep block, there's not a lot of space in the middle of the pitch, so I had to find space elsewhere and made sure that I made those runs in behind – even though there wasn't any space there either. But I really enjoyed it.' Beth Mead, a close teammate who lost her own mother to cancer a year before Toone's father Nick passed away last year, praised her resilience during a difficult time – particularly after the first game upon 'looking to the stands for your person and they're not there anymore'. 'I think Tooney is really coming to her own and sometimes in situations where you feel a little bit low, it brings you to the top of your game. I have completely felt that and done that before – been in a tough place and come back from it. 'I think you can see that she's got that kind of aura, that type of energy and she deserves everything she's getting right now because she has worked really hard for it.' The Lionesses have looked like a new team ever since Toone was brought in to replace James in the No 10. James, who hadn't played since April, is an extraordinary talent, but doesn't have the same defensive mindset as Toone, and so fitting them both in the team by pushing James out to the right has worked wonders for England's attack. James and Toone linked up well on Sunday and England have scored 10 goals in two games ever since Sarina Wiegman made those tweaks – after recording just two shots on target in the France game. It helps, too, that Toone knows this midfield well. She's spent long stretches playing alongside Keira Walsh and Georgia Stanway, and those relationships, built over time, are now second nature. Stanway summed it up best: 'Me, Keira and Tooney have just got a really good relationship with each other. We communicate and we look at each other. We speak constantly. I like to be in the pocket. (Toone) likes to be in the pocket. Keira likes to be on the ball.' And then, she added with a smile: 'I think Tooney gets joy from creating – so assists, goals, making sure that she's in that final third. And then for me on the other side, I get joy from smashing people.' Toone may have been frustrated by being withdrawn after 45 minutes on Sunday, but if anything, it was Wiegman's biggest compliment. The Dutch coach is going to desperately need her No 10 fit and strong for the tasks that lie ahead.
