New Jackie 'O' Henderson reality TV show Stranded on Honeymoon Island cast is finally revealed - after release date was pushed back by six months

Daily Mail18-06-2025
Channel Seven has announced the cast of romantic hopefuls who are set to star in their new dating show Stranded On Honeymoon Island.
Dropping on June 23, the long-awaited show follows 12 unlucky-in-love singles who are stranded on a remote island with no hope of escape for 21 days.
Narrated by high-profile radio host Jackie 'O' Henderson, the format is based on a hit Danish concept and adapted locally by Endemol Shine Australia.
Each of the couples are matched after a speed dating meet-up and then dumped in a tropical location, still in their wedding attire, with no access to phones or the outside.
And once on Honeymoon Island, the couples have to grapple with everyday dating dramas as they strive to survive primitive conditions.

Featured in the cast are 30-year-old Queensland TikToker and comedian Amy who is paired with TV host Mike, 38, from NSW.
An early trailer revealed sparks fly between Amy and her match - for the wrong reasons.
The pair's strong personalities clash from the outset, with Amy unwilling to follow and Mike used to leading.
Also starring in the series is Brie from Victoria.
Trained as a singer and dancer, the 29-year-old has been matched with Byron, 34, an electrician from Queensland who has been single for two years.
Emily, 29, an executive from Victoria, who has been single for seven years has been paired with business analyst Tom, 30, from the ACT.
Meanwhile, career coach Dani, 35, is hoping romance will blossom with fellow Queenslander, performer and music producer Emanuel, 35.
Flight attendant Georgia, 35, has found herself on Honeymoon Island with match Chad, 47, an anthroplasty expert, who shares her home state of Victoria.
Rounding out the cast are two contestants from NSW - Jess, 38, a relationship coach and her match, personal trainer Sam, 31.
It comes after the series was plagued by controversy behind the scenes, with the series' rollout delayed for more than six months.
Originally slated to air in late 2024, the show was quietly shelved by Seven, leaving cast members in the dark about its future.
As previously reported by Daily Mail Australia, contestants were furious over the prolonged silence from the network, with one anonymous bride revealing: 'We've had enough. We've all put our lives on hold for this, and now we're just sitting here waiting for a decision.
'Some of us have moved on and started new relationships – one of the guys even proposed to his girlfriend in real life!' she continued, adding it felt 'insulting' to still be under contract without clarity.
'We were told to keep quiet, no relationships, no social media posts. We're basically living like prisoners, while Seven plays games with us.'
Others echoed similar frustrations, claiming they were led to believe the show would fast-track their careers as influencers, only to return to regular jobs after months of limbo.
'It's just been a rollercoaster of uncertainty,' one insider shared.
'They told us one thing, then pushed the show back again and again. Nobody even knows when the series will air, and the cast hasn't been told a thing,' they added.
'All we've been given is silence and broken promises.'
Insiders say the network was hopeful the show could rival Married At First Sight and The Block in ratings, even splashing out big money to secure Jackie O in hopes of pulling viewers.

Love Island fans uncover villa girl's gameplan as they say ‘she's not into him at all' about love interest

LOVE Island fans have become convinced that one couple are set to split after leaving the villa – after picking up on the girl's 'gameplan'. With the series finale coming tomorrow, the last few days of the villa have seen the islanders begin to lock down their romances. 6 6 But after Ty asked Angel if they could 'go exclusive' – essentially making them boyfriend/girlfriend in all but name – her reaction has left viewers believing there's doubt in place for Angel. Throw in differing lifestyles, and some are thinking that they could already be on the way out. A Reddit poster explained: 'Hear me out. Angel is a fairly big Instagram influencer, who if you look at her instagram seems to be all about the boujee life. 'Her entire feed is her hanging with super stunning models all with huge followings on yachts in Spain, ski trips in the French Alps, constant trips to Dubai and seems to be living a pretty expensive glamorous life.' 'Ty is a sweetheart but does seem just like a genuine working class guy from a normal background,' they added. 'Absolutely nothing wrong with that, I just find it hard to believe this is the type of guy Angel is genuinely interested in with the lifestyle she projects on Instagram.' They added that 'girls who live that lifestyle seem to often be looking for a certain type of man', and continued: 'Last night's episode was when I really noticed it most. 'There is a certain distance in the way she connects with him, especially when he asked her to go exclusive, everything is just kind of wafty and airy in her voice and doesn't seem real or passionate about anything he has to say.' 'I believe she is a huge game player like Dejon but isn't as dumb as him to make it so obvious to those in the villa or the public,' they concluded, saying she "goes with the flow and doesn't cause drama", allowing Angel to skirt through. Other posters quickly picked up on the moment, and agreed that something about Angel and Ty's romance didn't feel authentic. 'Not gonna lie, I don't buy Angel's act at all. She was definitely eyeing up Harry from the jump, but obviously wanted to secure a spot in Meg's little 'mother hen' squad for that protection,' replied one. 'And because she rocked up late, she just clung to Ty as a safe bet. 'Get her out' rant Love Island fans as they call for 'sly' star to be kicked off the show 'Half the stuff Angel says is just silly, like she's trying to be something, but ends up being absolutely nothing.' 'I thought she liked him up until last night, when he asked her to go exclusive,' agreed a second. 'Like you said her reaction was very wishy washy. 'However in saying that they are quite fresh, so maybe she was just taken aback by how soon it was. 'Ty was also really her only option, and it just so happened he was single at the time.' 'When they leave the villa, he'll be in the influencer lifestyle too so I think they'll last whilst they're riding the fame, and whilst they're all in London constantly for events and interviews and stuff,' noted a third. 'And when the love island 2025 hype dies down, those break up statements will be out on instagram 😂' Others commented on the fact that she claimed that distance would be an issue for them as they start their relationship – asking 'why that was an issue when she travels the world but can travel 150 miles to Barnsley' where Ty's based. Ty and Angel are within breathing distance of the finish line, with the finale airing tomorrow night and a new winning couple being crowned. However, their position in the finale isn't secured just yet, with one last shock dumping set to rock the villa in scenes set to air tonight. The remaining couples still in the villa are: Ty and Angel, Meg and Dejon, Toni and Cach, Shakira and Harry, and Yasmin and Jamie. Who will be our top four for this year? Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2. 6 6 6

Watch: English golfer hits freak hole-in-one at Women's Open

Mimi Rhodes lit up the final day of the Women's Open with a bizarre hole-in-one that featured the Englishwoman's ball deflecting off her partner's ball before dropping into the cup. MIMI RHODES WITH AN UNBELIEVABLE HOLE-IN-ONE! 🤯 — Sky Sports Golf (@SkySportsGolf) August 3, 2025 Rhodes and the Australia Stephanie Kyriacou were involved in this surreal scene on the 212-yard fifth. Kyriacou played first and her supreme effort looked destined to achieve an ace, itself, before veering away in the final rolls. Just a few inches away, the world No 42 was still booked in for a birdie though. However, with the crowd believing they had witnessed enough drama for one grouping, Rhodes, the 23-year-old from Somerset, stepped up and went pin-chasing. Rhodes's strike was just as well struck, but appeared to be going too fast. That is until it took the billiards route, checking off Kyriacou's and ricocheting into the hole. Hearing the cheers, Rhodes looked bemused before raising her arms in celebration. Kyriacou hugged her, but must have felt slightly aggrieved as, ironically, she had played the better shot. No matter, Kyriacou enjoyed her own hole-in-one on the eighth on Friday. A moment of magic ✨ Steph Kyriacou makes the first ACE of the AIG Women's Open! ⛳🤩 — Sky Sports (@SkySports) August 1, 2025 In the commentary booth, Henni Zuel, the former Tour pro, exclaimed: 'Unreal! I hope she buys Steph a nice present. Something more than a drink is deserved there.' Rhodes was being followed by at least 30 of her family and friends from Burnham & Berrow and their faith was emphatically rewarded by the Ladies European Tour rookie, who has already won three times this season. Rhodes's Royal Porthcawl heroics hauled her to four-under and within five of the leader Miyu Yamashita. The incident was reminiscent of Louis Oosthuizen's hole-in-one at the 2016 Masters. On that occasion, the South African's ball used that of JB Holmes as the canon on the 16th at Augusta and it was duly called 'the most incredible ace in major history'.

Grant Denyer reveals 'the only way' to properly enjoy the Logies as he attends the glittering event with wife Chezzi

Grant Denyer joked that he was planning a very big night as he arrived at the 2025 Logie Awards on Sunday night. Speaking to Daily Mail, the Deal or No Deal host, 47, said that there was only one true way to enjoy the glittering ceremony. When asked how many drinks he had imbibed on Logies night after a slightly off-colour red carpet joke, Grant joked that he was 'fully loaded.' 'You've got to be lit to do these things,' he joked. 'There's only one way to go.' It wasn't just about drinking, either; getting into confrontations with fellow stars was also part of Grant's Logies plans. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'You've got to come here, you've got to start a fight with Tom Gleeson, you have to get on Larry Emdur's shoulders to punch him in the face, but I'm not afraid to do it.' The affable presenter also gave some insight to fellow attendees into how to make sure they had gone 'hard enough' on Logies night. 'If you don't wake up with like half a club sandwich on your chest and the Cash Cow next you you in bed, you haven't gone hard enough,' he said. Grant stepped out with wife Chezzi for Australian television's night of nights. He was, of course, only joking about his penchant for over-partying, as he recently opened up about his rock bottom moment amid his harrowing addiction battle. Grant has battled a highly publicised painkiller addiction in the past, after breaking his back during a freak monster truck accident in 2008. The crash left him with a vertebra shattered in eleven pieces, and doctors feared he might never walk again. Speaking about the ordeal on Nova 100's Jase & Lauren show, Grant candidly revealed the moment he reached the lowest depths of his addiction battle. 'You've got to come here, you've got to start a fight with Tom Gleeson, you have to get on Larry Emdur's shoulders to punch him in the face, but I'm not afraid to do it,' he joked It didn't end there, either, with Grant declaring: 'If you don't wake up with like half a club sandwich on your chest and the Cash Cow next you you in bed, you haven't gone hard enough' 'There's one picture I always try and remember, because you know, you've got to monitor your own behaviour, right?' he began. 'In my addiction, for some reason that night, I wanted scotch,' he continued. 'I was living in an apartment in the CBD. I left in the middle of night just in my undies. I was walking around, no clothes on, just undies, for scotch, in a delirium. And then I got lost.' Grant added that his wife of 14 years, Chezzi, was looking for him for three hours, only to find him in a fire escape, sleeping next to a pile of human excrement. 'I could barely walk right, with a freshly broken back, and I'd got lost in the building, and she found me three hours later in the fire escape, asleep on the ground, just curled up in the corner, just stuck and lost next to someone else's poo,' Grant admitted. 'Someone had taken a dump in the fire escape, and here I am asleep on the ground, in my undies, lost. 'I just try and remember that if I ever think I'm slipping.'
