Ranchman's kicks off Stampede 2025 with free line dance lessons
Ranchman's, the legendary Calgary honky-tonk, is offering free line dancing lessons to help Stampede newbies up their game. A free Dancer Appreciation Boot Camp kicks off Wednesday at 7 p,m., with lessons provided by 'Ranchman's World Champion dance instructors.' The free dance class is the kickoff to the popular saloon's Stampede 2025 lineup of events which includes a tribute to Toby Keith (performed by Hollywood Yates) Sunday night, a Cowboys v. Firefighter charity pole climb Monday at the club, as well as a Taylor Swift all-ages matinee tribute at 2 p.m. next Tuesday at the Ranchman's Stampede Tent. On July 9, there's a Stampede Line Dance Bust Out 2.0. at the club, featuring workshops by Texas choreographer Tara Bianco and Calgary's Sean Buckley, Diane Seguin and Zachary Friesen. There will also be a line dance competition at 7:30 p.m., with a $500 prize. On closing night, July 13, the Martin Boys, who were the runners up on Canada's Got Talent headline as Ranchman's celebrates with the winner of the $50,000 pro-rodeo champions.
