Indian Air Force Rafales, Su-30s carrying out major Exercise

New Delhi [India], April 24 (ANI): The Indian Air Force is carrying out Exercise Aakraman (Attack) over a large area in the central sector involving its mainstream fighter aircraft fleets led by the Rafale combat aircraft.
The Indian Air Force operates two squadrons of the Rafale aircraft which are based out of Ambala and Hashimara in West Bengal.
'The cutting-edge technology fighter jets are carrying out complex missions involving ground attack and electronic warfare drills,' defence sources told ANI.
'The assets of the Indian Air Force have been moved from multiple airbases, including from the eastern side,' they added.
The Indian Air Force has been practising for complex ground attack missions for operations in different terrains, including plains and mountainous areas, the sources said.
The Indian Air Force also holds an edge over its adversaries in the south Asian region with the inductions of Meteor air to air missiles and induction of long range high speed low drag missiles like the Rampage and Rocks.
The exercise is taking place at a time when tensions between India and Pakistan have gone up after the Pahalgam attack.
The exercise is being closely monitored closely by the Air Headquarters. Top Gun pilots of the Indian Air Force are taking part in rhetorical exercise under close watch of high qualified instructors.
The Indian Air Force was used in a big way to carry out the post-Pulwama attack strikes inside Pakistan in February 2019.
The Indian Air Force has acquired the Rafale fighter jets since then and they have revived its edge over the readies in the region.
The Indian Air Force had used the Mirage 2000 fighter jets in 2019 but has indicted many force multipliers like the S-400 air defence system, which can be the very effective against the airborne early warning and control aircraft of the adversaries. (ANI)

ANI Bihar: Polling officials involve in Electoral Rolls Revision campaign to receive Rs 6,000 as honorarium The ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign of the electoral rolls in Bihar is progressing rapidly and recognizing the efforts of the Polling station officials, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Bihar has announced a special incentive of Rs 6,000 for each. This additional honorarium is aimed at acknowledging their hard work and commitment during the intensive revision process."The Rs 6,000 incentive has been approved as a mark of appreciation for the tireless service of polling staff during this crucial campaign," said a statement issued by the CEO's office. Apart from this, SIR in Bihar is underway in full swing with the Booth Level Officers (BLOs), BLO Supervisors, all the election officials, BLAs appointed by the political parties and the volunteers working tirelessly at the grassroots level to ensure that no eligible elector is left out, according to a press release by the Election Commission of India's (ECI). As per the release, as of July 5 at 6.00 PM, 1,04,16 545 Enumeration Forms, i.e. 13.19 per cent of the total of 7,89,69,844 (nearly 7.90 crore) electors in Bihar who are enrolled as of June 24, 2025, have been received. The percentage of forms distributed has also increased to 93.57 per cent, with 7,38,89,333 forms already distributed. 77,895 BLOs are going house-to-house to help the electors fill out their Enumeration Forms and collect them. In a large number of cases, the BLOs are taking live pictures of the electors and uploading them, saving the electors the trouble of getting their pictures taken. The partially filled forms are also available for download on the ECI portal ( as well as on the ECINET App, and the filled forms can be uploaded by the elector themselves on the ECINET App. Additionally, 20,603 BLOs are being appointed for the smooth and timely completion of the process. Nearly 4 lakh volunteers, including government officials, NCC cadets, NSS members, etc., are also working in the field to facilitate the elderly, PwDs, sick and vulnerable populations in the SIR process. Besides, 239 EROs, 963 AEROs, 38 DEOs and the CEO of the state are at the ground level to facilitate the electors to submit their forms. 1,54,977 Booth Level Agents (BLAs) appointed by various political parties are also providing active support in the SIR process, as per the release.

Distance no barrier for cultural connect: Modi
Buenos Aires: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that he was honoured to receive a warm welcome from the Indian diaspora in Argentina. PM Modi added that distance is no barrier when it comes to cultural connection. In a post on X, the Prime Minister wrote, "Distance is no barrier when it comes to cultural connect! Honoured by the gracious welcome from the Indian community in Buenos Aires. It is truly moving to see how, thousands of kilometres away from home, the spirit of India shines brightly through our Indian community." PM Modi arrived in Buenos Aires on the third leg of his five-nation tour. Upon arrival at the Ezeiza International Airport, he was accorded a ceremonial welcome and greeted by jubilant members of the Indian diaspora. Upon his arrival at the hotel, PM Modi was welcomed with a traditional Indian dance performance.
