LOOK: Top 2026 recruits try on Michigan uniforms during Victors Weekend visits

USA Today22-06-2025
Victors Weekend, Michigan football's biggest recruiting push of the year, has now come to a close, and now the Wolverines are sitting back and waiting on the results to start rolling in.
The maize and blue tend to start slow, with the onus of getting pledges coming with official visits, and the top weekend is the final one before the dead period, where the bulk of the already-committed Wolverines also make it to campus, along with top targets that Michigan has been seeking after. Now that the visits are coming to a close, many of the top names who made it to Ann Arbor posted to social media pictures of themselves enjoying the scenery. At this juncture, a few haven't (offensive line targets Kelvin Obot and Malakai Lee), but we'll update should they post down the road.
Here are some of the pictures of top recruits wearing the winged helmet.
Miami (Fla.) Northwestern five-star WR Calvin Russell
Russell made a post on his Instagram story, which was captured by The Wolverine. Here he is walking out of the Lloyd Carr Tunnel at Michigan Stadium.
X user @sawmillnate also screencapped his Instagram story, showing him walking out of the tunnel with Bryce Underwood.
QB commit Brady Smigiel and WR Calvin Russell with Bryce Underwood
Not to be outdone, Newbury Park (Calif.) four-star quarterback commit Brady Smigiel took to X himself to post quite the trio.
WR commit Jaylen Pile
The second-longest tenured commit in the 2026 class, Dallas (Tx.) Parish Episcopal three-star wide receiver Jaylen Pile was on hand with his family.
Prosper (Tx.) four-star OT Zaden Krempin
The often Korn t-shirt-clad Krempin was in Ann Arbor and posted some pictures of his visit.
As it's his birthday, Michigan IOL commit Bear McWhorter posted a picture of the duo with offensive line coach Grant Newsome asking fans to with Krempin a happy birthday.
Irmo (S.C.) Dutch Fork four-star EDGE Julian Walker
Not as highly publicized of a visit, given that it appeared he was leaning elsewhere, Walker was quite active posting pictures and comments of his visit.
But the coup de grâce came in a later post of his.
Michigan's dream line?
The Wolverines have already hosted several big defensive line commits and prospects, but Victors Weekend had the cream of the crop. Walker posted a series of pictures with himself (wearing No. 8), Titan Davis (No. 97), Carter Meadows (No. 11), and commit Tariq Boney (No. 44).
Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy four-star ATH Blake Stewart
Another visitor who hasn't been discussed as much lately is Blake Stewart. The Wolverine screencapped his Instagram story.
Liberty commit Kaden Catchings
A recent offer, Flowood (Miss.) Hartfield Academy three-star linebacker Kaden Catchings visited, despite having committed to the Flames last week.
EDGE commit McHale Blade with legendary DE Brandon Graham
Blade actually took his official visit weeks ago but came back to campus to help recruit. But he also had a pretty nice run in with recently retired Philadelphia Eagles and former Michigan star Brandon Graham.
Tight end duo
Michigan got its two tight ends committed before the official visit cycle started, and Billings (Mont.) West four-star TE Matt Ludwig posted pictures of himself, along with fellow commit, Mason Bonner, in Ann Arbor together.

Trinity Rodman cheers on Ben Shelton's one-minute Wimbledon triumph after darkness delay

Trinity Rodman was amused by boyfriend Ben Shelton's victory over Rinky Hijikata on Friday after their second-round match at Wimbledon was suspended Thursday due to darkness. It took all of 69 seconds for the American sensation to close out the match and defeat the Australian, 6-2, 7-5, 6-4, on Friday to set up a third-round clash with Italy's Márton Fucsovics on Saturday. 'Nothing like a 2 minute long match,' Rodman wrote, adding a crying laughing emoji. 'Congrats Benny @benshelton.' Instagram/Trinity Rodman The night prior, Shelton was visibly frustrated that the umpire suspended play at 9:29 p.m. local time while he was up, 5-4, in the third set and ready to serve to win the match. Shelton had a heated conversation with the umpire, and the tournament supervisor intervened to calm him down, as seen in videos on social media. '[The umpire] said it was five-minute warning until the hawk-eye was going down and that was including the changeover, so there wouldn't be enough time to complete the game — and I was telling him I only need 60 seconds,' Shelton said, which drew laughter from the reporters. Michigan football boosts 2026 class with 4-star WR Travis Johnson from Virginia

Michigan football recruiting is red hot, and the Wolverines have shown little sign of slowing down -- only in the way that the class is filling up. The maize and blue already have two wide receivers committed in Dallas (Tx.) Episcopal three-star Jaylen Pile and Mansfield (Tx.) four-star Zion Robinson. But the Wolverines are looking to add at least one more, if not two. While top target Miami (Fla.) Northwestern five-star Calvin Russell will make his decision on Saturday evening, another that Michigan football has been after for some time decides on Independence Day in Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith four-star wideout Travis Johnson. At 6-foot-3, 180 pounds, Johnson has offers from the likes of Penn State, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Miami, and others. But on Friday, he committed to the Wolverines. Scouting report and highlights Here's the scouting report from 247Sports' Andrew Ivins: Well-rounded wide receiver with the size, speed and focus to emerge as a trusted option at the Power Four level. Height and bounce suggest that he's destined to play on the outside, but is sudden and quick enough to win from an interior alignment with his slick route running. Attacks cushion with good surge off the line and can reach a top gear before changing course with full-tilt cuts. Might not be a true power forward at the catch point, but can play above shoulder pads with his timing and body control. Will shed a tackle or two with the ball in his hands and has surprising agility in tight quarters for someone of his stature. Missed time as a junior due to injury, but still finished the season with over 1,000 receiving yards before turning heads at the OT7 Finals summer before senior year. Rather narrow in the shoulders for a pass catcher that's verified at over 6-foot-3, but projects as a potential impact player on Saturdays that will work for his quarterbacks. Mature game could have him in the lineup sooner rather than later. And here are his junior highlights: The currently committed class Here is what the 2026 class looks like now that Johnson is in the fold: All rankings by the 247Sports Composite With Johnson in the fold, Michigan football moves back up to No. 7 from No. 9, surpassing Clemson and Miami, while being behind USC, Georgia, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Ohio State, and Alabama in the 247Sports team rankings.

Anais previously told Sports Illustrated Swimsuit she worked with a wedding planner and was stress-free during the planning process, adding her father would walk her down the aisle. ' I am the furthest thing from a bridezilla,' Anais quipped. 'My fiancé planned the entire honeymoon on his own. Advertisement 'I still am on cloud nine. Like, I had nothing to do with it. I'm so excited.' The couple, who celebrated five years together last July, announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post in March. Anais stood by Watson when he was accused of sexual misconduct by roughly two dozen massage therapists beginning in March 2021. He missed that season after requesting a trade out of Houston. Watson was suspended the first 11 games of the 2022 season, which delayed his Browns debut after signing a fully guaranteed five-year, $230 million contract with Cleveland that March. 4 Deshaun Watson #4 of the Cleveland Browns looks on during Cleveland Browns mandatory minicamp at CrossCountry Mortgage Campus on June 11, 2025 in Berea, Ohio.
