Alcaraz to Face Sinner in 2025 Wimbledon Men's Final
Rana Atef Today, Spanish star Carlos Alcaraz, two-time defending Wimbledon champion and current world No. 2, is gearing up for a fiery showdown against Italian world No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the final of the tournament. Both have firmly established themselves on the global stage, snatching the spotlight from tennis's 'legendary trio': Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic, who dominated the sport for decades. Djokovic, the last remaining member of the trio at 38 years old, exited the tournament in the semifinals after a straight-sets loss to Sinner, who is seen by many as a successor to the Serbian star's style and dominance. On the other hand, Alcaraz had to battle for over three hours to overcome American fifth seed Taylor Fritz, securing a spot in a Grand Slam final for the sixth time in his career and the third consecutive time on Wimbledon's grass courts. The two young stars have recently taken control of the Grand Slam scene, sharing the last six titles between them. Sunday's final will be decisive in determining who claims the seventh. read more Japan Stun Spain 2-1 to Qualify for World Cup Last 16 World Cup 2022: Get to Know Confirmed Line-ups of Japan and Spain Group E Decider Saudi Arabia Bid Farewell to World Cup after 2-1 Loss to Mexico Tunisia Achieve Historic Win over France but Fail to Qualify Tunisia to Clash against France in World Cup Sports Get to Know Squad of Group D Teams in World Cup Sports Al Ahly Gift EGP 70,000 to Players After Claiming Egyptian Super Cup Title Sports Bencharki Hits First 2 Goals with Al Jazira Since Leaving Zamalek Sports Arsenal Possible Line-up for Nottingham Forest News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream

Iga Świątek Defeats Anisimova to Clinch Historic Wimbledon Title
Rana Atef On Saturday, Poland's Iga Świątek delivered a flawless performance to win one of the most prestigious titles of her career, the Wimbledon Championships. It is her sixth major overall, crushing American Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0 in the final. With this emphatic victory, Świątek not only became the first Polish player to win Wimbledon in the Open Era, but she also soared to No. 3 in the world rankings, effective early next week. Świątek needed just 57 minutes to dispatch Anisimova in a final that will go down in history for its sheer dominance. The Polish star broke her opponent in the 1st, 3rd, and 5th games of the opening set, wrapping it up in just 25 minutes. The second set unfolded in identical fashion, with Świątek applying relentless pressure to clinch the match in under an hour. This marks Świątek's first Wimbledon title and adds to her impressive Grand Slam tally, which already includes four French Open titles (2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024) and one US Open crown (2022). Saturday's final was the first at Wimbledon to end in a 6-0, 6-0 result since 1911, when Britain's Dorothea Douglass Chambers achieved the same scoreline. Moreover, Świątek became the first player in the Open Era to win a Grand Slam final without dropping a single game. read more Japan Stun Spain 2-1 to Qualify for World Cup Last 16 World Cup 2022: Get to Know Confirmed Line-ups of Japan and Spain Group E Decider Saudi Arabia Bid Farewell to World Cup after 2-1 Loss to Mexico Tunisia Achieve Historic Win over France but Fail to Qualify Tunisia to Clash against France in World Cup Sports Get to Know Squad of Group D Teams in World Cup Sports Al Ahly Gift EGP 70,000 to Players After Claiming Egyptian Super Cup Title Sports Bencharki Hits First 2 Goals with Al Jazira Since Leaving Zamalek Sports Arsenal Possible Line-up for Nottingham Forest News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream
