
SpiceJet Q4 Results: PAT jumps 173% YoY to highest-ever quarterly profit of Rs 325 crore

Budget carrier Spicejet on Saturday reported that its March quarter standalone profit after tax surged 173% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 324.87 crore. For the Gurugram-based airline, this is the highest ever quarterly profit and second consecutive profitable quarter.However, the revenue from operations for the reporting quarter declined 16% YoY to Rs 1,446.37 crore from Rs 1,719.3 crore in Q4 FY24, SpiceJet said.For the entire FY25, SpiceJet posted full‐year net profit of Rs 48 crore, the first in seven years, underscoring the success of its financial and operational turnaround strategy. In FY24, the airline had reported a loss of Rs 404 crore.Stating that the growth is led by improved yields, sustaining high load factors, and cost optimization, SpiceJet said the passenger load factor stood at 88.1%, highlighting strong demand.Passenger RASK improved by 3.4% YoY, and the airline has achieved a positive net worth of Rs 683 crore at the end of the period.The Promoter Group completed an equity infusion of Rs 500 crore, including the final tranche of Rs 294.09 crore in Q4 FY25, underscoring its strong confidence in the company's long‐term vision and potential.'SpiceJet has delivered a strong set of results, marking a significant turnaround in our operational and financial performance. With overhauled engines now returning, we expect a steady ramp‐up in operational capacity in the weeks ahead," Singh said.Ahead of the announcement of results on Saturday, SpiceJet shares ended Friday's session 2% lower at Rs 43.81 on BSE.

He said that after multiple discussions with authorities and the passage of a proposal in the MC, the project has finally received the green light from HSVP. The renovation is expected to significantly improve living conditions for thousands of families. During an inspection of the planned work on Saturday, mayor Goyal instructed officials to ensure the use of high-quality materials so that residents do not face issues in the coming years. Ahmedabad: Gujarat's real estate sector has witnessed a sharp rise in prices of residential units—up by 34% since 2017–18, driven by post-Covid demand and escalating input costs, according to a new report released by the Gujarat Real Estate Regulatory Authority (GujRERA). The report, 'Gujarat Real Estate Landscape: A Comprehensive Analysis of RERA Implementation and Infrastructure Growth', reveals that the average price of homes rose from Rs 40,231 per sq m in 2017–18 to Rs 54,139 per sq m in 2024–25, peaking at Rs 54,187 in 2023–24. The residential category assessed in the report includes a range of housing types such as apartments, bungalows, and row houses. "This price trajectory reflects a maturing market responding to macroeconomic shifts, with developers balancing affordability and rising demand," the report noted. "The year-on-year average construction cost per square meter (carpet area) in Ahmedabad across all segments from FY 2017–18 to FY 2024–25 reflects a general upward trend, influenced by rising material costs, labour charges, and market demand. In the residential and group housing sector, costs increased from Rs 30,659 per sq m in 2017–18 to Rs 43,443 in 2024–25, with a notable peak at Rs 47,341 in 2023–24, indicating a steady rise driven by urbanisation pressures," the report stated. Pradhan visits HAL facility in Koraput, CUO
1 2 Koraput: Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan began his two-day visit to Koraput district on Saturday with a visit to the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) engine and component manufacturing unit at Sunabeda. Emphasising its strategic importance in national defence, Pradhan called for development of a HAL-based MSME cluster to spur employment and entrepreneurship in the region. He urged HAL to collaborate with IIT Madras and Central University of Odisha (CUO) to offer diploma and undergraduate programmes in aerospace, defenc, and related sectors. "The objective is to develop a skilled workforce with domain expertise and promote innovation from the school level," he said. Pradhan also advised establishment of HAL-sponsored STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) laboratories in schools across Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur and Rayagada districts. "The laboratories would provide early exposure to scientific disciplines and lay the groundwork for future careers in technology," he said. To elevate the university to global standards, an MoU was signed between six centrally funded higher education institutes in Odisha — CUO, IIT Bhubaneswar, IIM Sambalpur, NIT Rourkela, IISER Berhampur and National Sanskrit University, Puri. Updating the status of academic staff, Pradhan said 70 posts have recently been filled and CUO aims to fill at least 130 out of sanctioned 153 teaching positions in the next year. He also announced that CUO will introduce new diploma and undergraduate courses in artificial intelligence, machine learning and agri-business from the next academic year.
