Lorry driver assisting with investigations after accident involving two cars
SINGAPORE – A 39-year-old male lorry driver is assisting the police in investigations following an accident that also involved two cars on Jurong Town Hall Road on June 24.
The police said they were alerted to the accident at 9am.
Dash cam footage from one of the cars involved, shared by Facebook page SG Road Vigilante, shows the car in the rightmost lane, with the container truck in the lane to its left.
The lorry appears to be filtering to the left lane as the vehicle with the dash cam pulls alongside the front of the lorry.
A silver car suddenly veers across the front of the truck and strikes the side of the recording vehicle head-on.
Two female car drivers aged 41 and 53 were taken conscious to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, said the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
SCDF added that it assessed another person for minor injuries and the person declined to be taken to the hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.

56-year old woman dies after fall at Clementi block; police rule out foul play
SINGAPORE: A 56-year-old woman died on Friday morning (27 June) after falling from a block of flats at Clementi Avenue 3. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call for assistance at around 10:50am, reporting that someone had fallen from a building at Block 441A. Paramedics who arrived at the scene pronounced the woman dead. When police officers reached the location, they found the woman lying motionless on the ground floor. 11 vehicles involved in 2 pileups within 3 hours on Singapore highways, four sent to hospital
Photo: SGRV FB SINGAPORE: A series of traffic accidents involving a total of ten cars and a motorcycle unfolded across two major expressways on Saturday (28 June), leaving four people injured. The first accident occurred along the Tampines Expressway (TPE) towards the Pan Island Expressway (PIE). Police said they were alerted at around 3:30pm to a collision involving six cars. Video clips shared on the SGRV Facebook page showed the aftermath of the pileup, with damaged vehicles blocking the second lane and several individuals, believed to be drivers, standing near their cars. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said two female passengers, aged 33 and 59, were assessed at the scene and conveyed to separate hospitals in a conscious condition. One woman was taken to Changi General Hospital while the other was taken to Sengkang General Hospital. Later that same evening, a second pileup was reported along the PIE towards Changi Airport. The accident, which happened at around 6pm, involved four cars and a motorcycle. Investigations into the causes of both accidents are ongoing, the police said.

Raeanna Ruiz, 35, was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Thursday after pleading guilty to second-degree murder, conspiracy, and aggravated battery in connection with the October 2023 shooting death of Santiago Roybal, 19. According to a press release from the Albuquerque Police Department at the time, Ruiz was behind the wheel of a white SUV seen on surveillance cameras pulling into the parking lot of an apartment complex in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Also in the car were Ruiz's 15-year-old son and 16-year-old daughter, who allegedly chased Roybal down and shot him dead. After spotting Roybal in the yard, Ruiz and her 14-year-old son, along with her daughter, chased Roybal to his apartment, officials said.
