Vindu Dara Singh Slams Pakistan For Fostering Terrorism: ‘Shame On Those People'

News184 days ago
Vindu Dara Singh spoke about India's match against Pakistan in the upcoming Asia Cup. He also slammed Pakistan for harbouring terrorists on its soil.
Ever since the deadly attack in Pahalgam, India's relations with Pakistan have deteriorated. Amid the ongoing tensions between the two countries, Son of Sardaar 2 actor Vindu Dara Singh spoke strongly against Pakistan's role in fostering terrorism. The 61-year-old actor also weighed in on the ongoing debate following the announcement of the Asia Cup fixture between the two nations.
In the Asia Cup 2025, India is placed in Group A, alongside Pakistan. The two countries will face off against each other on September 14. Singh shared that sports should bring people together. 'We all know whatever has been going on, but sports is a different field," Vindu told ANI.

The actor further urged Pakistan to stop harbouring terrorist groups on their soil as it would ultimately lead to their global isolation. He added, 'Pakistan needs to realise that they are losing out by doing wrong to India… We want peace, but they need to initiate this time. They are the ones who cause the problem. India has never attacked any country first. Shame on those people in Pakistan who support terrorism."
Vindu's comment came just days after the announcement of the Asia Cup 2025 fixture between India and Pakistan. The tournament, organised by the Asian Cricket Council, is scheduled to take place from September 9 to September 25 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Initially, India was supposed to host the tournament. But the recent military tensions between the countries following the deadly attack in Pahalgam has forced the authorities to organise the tournament at a neutral venue, the UAE.
The terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam on April 22 claimed the lives of 26 people. Post the attack, India launched a series of precision strikes under Operation Sindoor in May to destroy terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. The two countries were involved in a military conflict before a ceasefire was announced on May 10.
What's Vindu Dara Singh's Next Project?
The actor is set to appear in the comedy film Son of Sardaar 2, starring Ajay Devgn, Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan and Sanjay Mishra. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film is set to be released theatrically on August 1. The movie will also feature Mukul Dev posthumously.

Shah Rukh Khan's manager Pooja Dadlani celebrates his first National Award win for Jawan, calls it a deserving honour and thanks fans for their love. Shah Rukh Khan's long-standing manager Pooja Dadlani is over the moon as the superstar clinched his first-ever National Film Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for Jawan. The recognition came as part of the 71st National Film Awards for films certified in 2023. Shah Rukh shared the Best Actor honour with Vikrant Massey (12th Fail). Taking to Instagram, Pooja shared a snapshot of the official certificate that mentioned SRK's win for Jawan. She wrote, 'Toooo happy to see @iamsrk win the National Award for Jawan… A deeply deserving honour for all that you have put into achieving this!!" She went on to express her appreciation for director Atlee and the fans: 'Big hugs to @atlee47 for making a film that is garnering such accolades… big thank you to the fans for loving the film so much… for loving SRK so much! And… thank you God!!!" View this post on Instagram A post shared by Pooja Dadlani Gurnani (@poojadadlani02) Jawan, directed by Atlee, featured Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role and was lauded for its commercial appeal and massy storytelling. The film struck a chord with audiences, becoming one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time, collecting over Rs 1,100 crore at the global box office. It also marked a significant milestone for SRK, further cementing his return to box office dominance after Pathaan. This award is especially meaningful considering SRK's nearly three-decade-long career, during which he was often celebrated by audiences but overlooked by the National Awards jury. Pooja Dadlani, who has managed Shah Rukh's career for over a decade, has seen his journey up close from his comebacks to career highs and her emotional post reflects just how big this moment is for Team SRK. The heartfelt reaction has struck a chord with fans, who flooded the comments with congratulatory messages and admiration for both Khan and his behind-the-scenes powerhouse, Pooja. As Shah Rukh's Dunki also performed well last year, it's safe to say that 2023 was a landmark year for the superstar and his latest National Award is a cherry on top. Arjun Erigaisi Secures Rs 1.2Cr Payday With Fourth Place Finish At Esports World Cup

Last Updated: Indian Grandmaster Arjun Erigaisi narrowly lost to Hikaru Nakamura in the Esports World Cup chess event in Riyadh. Nakamura won bronze with a 3.5–2.5 victory. Indian Grandmaster Arjun Erigaisi narrowly lost to Hikaru Nakamura of the United States in a dramatic third-place playoff at the Esports World Cup chess event in Riyadh on Friday. Nakamura clinched the bronze medal with a 3.5–2.5 victory in a closely contested six-game match that went down to the wire. Throughout the playoff, both players stayed evenly matched for most of the encounter. The match reached its decisive moment in the sixth and final game, where Erigaisi, playing with the black pieces, faltered during a tense endgame. Facing immense time pressure, the 21-year-old Indian star committed a series of blunders, which allowed Nakamura—currently the world No. 2 and one of the strongest rapid and blitz players ever—to capitalize and secure the win. Career-Best Payday for Erigaisi Despite missing out on the podium, Erigaisi walked away with a career-high prize of $115,000 (approximately ₹1 crore) for his fourth-place finish in the knockout-format tournament. A third-place finish would have earned him $145,000 (around ₹1.26 crore), but even so, this result marks a financial and competitive milestone in his young career. Arjun's journey in the Esports World Cup saw him defeat Russian Grandmaster Ian Nepomniachtchi in the quarterfinals, after which he faced French-Iranian prodigy Alireza Firouzja in the semifinals, where he was narrowly defeated. India's other young talent, Nihal Sarin, also turned heads in Riyadh. The 20-year-old reached the quarterfinals, where he faced former World Champion Magnus Carlsen. Although he lost the match, Sarin pocketed a commendable $85,000 (approximately ₹74 lakh) for his efforts. Reflecting on the experience, Nihal said: 'I'm just very happy to play against Magnus; he's my biggest inspiration. It's my first time getting to play him in a match," he said with a smile after the match. All eyes now shift to the grand final between Magnus Carlsen and Alireza Firouzja, set to be one of the most anticipated showdowns of the year. The winner will take home a staggering $2.5 million (roughly ₹20.8 crore)—an unprecedented prize pool in competitive chess. view comments Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
