The storyline of Maaman revolves around Inba's unusual bond with his nephew Laddu. Since childhood, the former has been incredibly kind and attentive towards his nephew. Later, as Inba falls in love with Rekha and prepares to marry, Laddu emerges as a precocious and adamant presence in their lives, threatening the couple's equation at difficult times. After many conflicts, Rekha and Inba decide to go away and reside in Madurai. However, Laddu misses his uncle a lot, making him more remorseful. Maaman offers an entertaining story rich with authentic Tamil cultural flavours, emotional sentiments, and thrilling action sequences, all based on human storytelling that resonates strongly with the audience.
Apart from Soori and Aishwarya Lekshmi, Maaman stars Swasika, Prageeth Sivan, Bala Saravanan, Jayaprakash, and others in prominent parts. This combination of experienced artists helped the picture to effectively weave together excellent character-driven moments and action-packed situations. It was written and directed by Prasanth Pandiyaraj and produced by Lark Studios. Hesham Abdul Wahab composed the background score. Maaman marks Soori and Lark Studios' second collaboration, following the success of their 2024 film Garudan.

Now, when you add the U.S. numbers, the film is racing towards a $140 million-plus (Rs 1,169 crore+) global weekend. It has already become one of the highest-grossing Apple Original Films.
