The Devil Wears Prada is eyeing a release on May 1, 2026. But that's not it. There's a delicious little Met Gala connection here, sure to pique every fashion girlie and guy's ears. May 1 next year will be a Friday which puts it right ahead of the first Monday of May — always, ALWAYS reserved for 'fashion's biggest night', the Met Gala!
So imagine sauntering into a (presumably packed!) theatre to experience the Devil Wears Prada sequel, and making it through the weekend on that high only to dive head first into Met Monday on your feeds. Safe to say, the first weekend of May is going to be a long weekend, spiritually at least!
Going back to first of its kind, The Devil Wears Prada movie is based on Lauren Weisberger's book of the same name. Incidentally, Lauren had worked as a personal assistant for American Vogue editor Anna Wintour, with the popular narrative being that the intense dynamic between Anne's Andy Sachs and Meryl's Miranda, was actually modeled on her own personal experience with Anna.
So while we all wait for bated breath with the Devil Wears Prada sequel to actually make it's way to us (right in time for the gala Met Monday), the OG is available for streaming on OTT.

Dressed in a casually-fitted but cinched pinstriped waist coat and trousers, the 42-year-old was gleaming and beaming. If you're wondering, this wasn't just a cute photo-op. The same fit, later in the day, made it to the streets of New York City. In the midst of what appears to be a filler shot. Anne, channeling her inner Andy, can be seen flitting across the street, hurriedly putting on a pair of sunnies as she makes it across on-coming traffic. The clip is an absolute dead ringer for the chaotic but fashion-forward montages of the original 2006 release, wherein panicked runs through New York City made up about 40 percent of the plot — and we mean that in the most flattering manner possible. Coming back to the production under way, besides the OG trio of Anne, Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt, returning to reprise their roles, the supporting cast has significantly expanded with names like Kenneth Branagh, (set to play Miranda Priestly's husband), Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. 'South Park' Signs $1.5 Billion Streaming Deal, Internet Says, 'Paramount Fired Colbert For This'
Animated comedy show, 'South Park', famous for its no-holds-barred, edgy and satirical takes on current events, featuring foul-mouthed characters, has reached a whopping $1.5 billion deal with Paramount. The studio has agreed to acquire global streaming rights for the show to bring it to the company's digital service, Paramount+, for the first time in the US, as per a report in Variety. The deal with show's creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, through their Park County production company, values the show's streaming rights at $300 million a year. As part of the deal, the creators have agreed to produce 10 episodes a year. The development comes in the backdrop of Comedy Central's premiere of the 27th season of "South Park" on Wednesday (Jul 23). South Park" premiered on Comedy Central, a network owned by Paramount, in August 1997, and the fresh deal preserves its status as one of the world's most valuable TV franchises. Social media reacts Reacting to the news of the billion-dollar deal, even the die-hard fans were left amazed but added that if there was any show that deserved such a sum, it was South Park.
