Blackpink Send Fans Into Frenzy with Mysterious "Pink Area" Map
Blackpink sent fans into a frenzy after the K-pop girl group unveiled a new interactive website that appears to set up their upcoming era.
In a
tweet
on Tuesday, the group wrote, 'Welcome to
PINK AREA
,' along with a photo of a cartoonish map of Seoul.
The map featured a series of popular tourist spots, including Goyang Sports complex, Banpo Bridge, Namsan Seoul Tower, and Sevit Island, all marked as PINK AREA, along with the dates July 4-6.
Two of the sites were marked with an all-caps sign that read DO NOT JUMP, with the 'Not' crossed out in pink spray paint over the YG building and the Shinsegae department store.
At press time, it was unclear what the message referred to.
The site's name picks up on the group's iconic 'BLACKPINK in your area' catchphrase and followed up on last week's first group picture together in months.
In a since-expired Instagram Stories post that showed Rosé, Lisa, Jennie, and Jisoo were seen holding their hands together to create the shape of a four-leaf clover, accompanied by a clover emoji.
BLINKS shared the snap on their socials in an attempt to decode its meaning, with many speculating that it was a hint about the title of an upcoming song or project.
Back in May, Lisa revealed that the group had already been in the studio working on new songs.
The quartet's most recent album was 2022's sophomore LP "Born Pink," which was followed by solo albums and singles from all the band.
In the meantime, Blackpink are gearing up to launch their Deadline world tour, which is slated to kick off at South Korea's Goyang Stadium with shows on Saturday (July 5) and Sunday (July 6), leading to further speculation that the sites on the interactive map are clues about events timed to coincide with the tour kick-off.
Afterwards, the quartet will head to North America for a show in Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, and New York.
They will then play stadiums across Europe in August and return for a run of Asian dates in October and November, winding down on November 30 with the second of two shows at Singapore National Stadium.

Cairo International Film Festival Participates in the "Belt and Road" Week in Shanghai for the Seventh Consecutive Year
Ali abo deshish As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen cinematic cooperation with countries worldwide, the Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) took part in the "Belt and Road" Week, held in Shanghai, China, from June 18 to 21, within the framework of the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival. This marks the seventh consecutive year that CIFF participates in the Belt and Road Film Festival Alliance, an initiative launched by the Shanghai International Film Festival in 2018. The alliance currently brings together over 55 film institutions and festivals from 48 countries, including Egypt, China, Portugal, Chile, Colombia, Indonesia, Hungary, the Netherlands, and Mongolia. Representing CIFF at the event was film critic Mohamed Tarek, the Festival's Artistic Director, who participated in the alliance's official meetings. The discussions focused on mechanisms to enhance cooperation between member festivals, promote the exchange of films, and organize cross-border cultural and cinematic events. These efforts aim to increase the international visibility of Arab cinema and create new opportunities for filmmakers from alliance member states. Commenting on the participation, Mohamed Tarek said: "The Cairo International Film Festival's involvement in the Belt and Road Week is an essential part of our strategy to open new markets for Egyptian and Arab cinema and to build stronger ties with major international festivals. Our meetings with the Shanghai International Film Festival management led to tangible steps toward enhancing cooperation, including facilitating the participation of Chinese films and special screenings at CIFF, as well as supporting Arab films' access to Asian markets, particularly China, which represents a promising and dynamic opportunity for Arab cinema." The Belt and Road Week witnessed the participation of over 40 filmmakers and producers from more than 20 countries, along with a series of specialized forums and professional sessions focused on developing the film industry, exchanging expertise, and strengthening cultural integration among alliance members. It is worth noting that the Cairo International Film Festival, founded in 1976, is one of the oldest and most prestigious film festivals in the Arab world and Africa. It remains the only festival in the region accredited as a Category "A" festival by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF). CIFF continues to serve as a prominent platform for showcasing outstanding cinematic works from around the globe and fostering cultural dialogue between nations. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean

New Restaurant Kimchik Is a Korean Fast Food Hot Spot
We're talking fried chicken, dumplings, K-pop bites, and more. Jul 06, 2025 Fried chicken is an infallible food. It holds our hands and satiates our deepest of hungers, anywhere and at any time. It opens our appetite when we don't want to eat and fills up when we feel like nothing could possibly heal our hunger. But, let's be honest, if you're eating the same tenders every other day, it can get boring. Well, you don't have to. Fried chicken connoisseurs can have their pick from Nashville to Kentucky, but the best eaters know that there's nothing quite like Korean, and Kimchik, the newest Korean fried chicken spot on the town, is well aware of this. Kimchik claim that hey make Korean fried chicken 'the loud way'. Unlike other shops, they make their wings and breasts in a variety of flavours; classic, sweet chili, teriyaki honey glaze, lime garlic coriander, and a spicy Yanghyeom. That wasn't enough flavour for them, either, because they also offer a wide range of dips, each complimenting a flavour of fried chicken, including sambal, mala mayo and big BBQ teriyaki. Besides fried chicken, Kimchik also offers scrumptious appetisers like dak and peanut bao buns, colourful shrimp twister dumplings and a concoction called K-pop bites, which consists of chili pops and cream. They also serve out various rice and noodle dishes, for a more classic Asian food experience, like the fan-favourite sweet chili shrimp noodles. Still got room? Grab a box of Kimchik's sweet rounded Bukkumi on your way out for a fun dessert.
